I started a game company with a friend that we are working in most of the week. No money from that of course, product isn't done yet. Simple really, sell your alt to BTC then use something like localbitcoins to sell your BTC back into fiat then if you have made a huge sum you can simply claim capital gains on the years tax return if you are scared of the taxman. This is what I do as every week I take profit from my BTC fund that week (I do day trading with daily target of 1% profit of the total fund) and pay off all my friends and family who hold shares in the fund.

There was some good stuff and discussion, but I feel like if I'd have visited it as a youngin I'd have a harder time figuring out what was valuable information and discussion versus what wasn't. Sure with large amounts it becomes more and more difficult. Firstly selling that much bitcoin would take several months because if you sold it at once the slippage would result in profits being eaten to a degree. If you had enough you'd cause a market readjustment by selling to quickly and at that point the temptation to simply rebuy your early sells would be significant as you are pretty much printing money. If you made 50 mil the best thing to do would be to purchase luxury goods with BTC on top of pulling out a reasonable income every month and legally claiming the profit of that portion of coin liquidated as a capital gain. The luxury goods thing is legit, people buy lambos and penthouses and all sorts using sites like bitpremier for the most part to resell I imagine. When you have made that much money it is a serious burden to pull it back to fiat but you can still do the ordinary route with a portion for income to live and purchase luxury goods and eventually you'll get there, you can also do questionable stuff like convert into fiat and have those funds sent to your friends accounts for a commission but to do anything about 1k at a go would raise suspicion. As for the feds it depends on what country you are in but for the most part you will be safe to claim it the same as any other asset/commodity which states that the profit is taxable under capital gains tax. Best thing to do if this was a real example was see some sort of financial advisor as they should have some specialist knowledge about trading other large holdings of assets back into fiat. For the most part though if you bought at 1 and saw the price at 2 you would sell.
