That's happened to me before. Feels bad man.

I was going to have a nice quiet meal out with my mum, dad and brother for my 21st (an important birthday in the uk, dunno about elsewhere). We talked about it a few months in advance, and I was at ease because I don't like fuss. It made me feel bad that nobody else really was interested, but I rationalised that most of my friends live up country.

In my birthday week I did 3 long shifts at work so that I could have a few days off for my 21st. In the evenings when I got home I heard my mum mention a barbeque she was planning with her workmates, fairly normal so I just ignored it.

On the morning of my 21st birthday I woke up to an empty house, which was odd because I thought they would have a present for me at breakfast or something, but I just presumed they were out at work or wherever. The day drew on so I got up, had breakfast, and sat in the sunshine in the garden. At 4pm the gate opened and I heard female laughter, and my mum's voice. I waited, reading, in my room, for her to come and see me. An hour, two hours passed.

I was confused about who was in the house, but not really concerned. My mum eventually came to my room and I got excited. Finally we could go out! Instead she gave me a pissed-off look and snapped "well, are you joining us or not?". By this point I was very confused, why would mummy speak to me like this on my birthday? Where was dad? Where was my brother?

So I went downstairs to be greeted by about ten drunk female teachers in their 40s and 50s, screeching and generally acting like cunts. My mum had organised her bbq on my birthday. She had entirely forgotten the biggest birthday of her first born.

I forced myself to be sociable for about ten minutes, ate a hot dog, and then went to my room and went to bed and cried.

My brother came home from work, came to my room, apologised for my mum, gave me a present, and left me alone when I asked him to. I love my brother. Fuck knows where my dad was.

Well I don't really want to write a whole blogpost about the near decade and a half since high school but basically I had no idea what to do for a career so I just dicked around in bullshit classes at community college and worked the same job for like 9 years. I started smoking weed only when I was like 22.

Then the place I worked at got new owners and they fired me and I was too depressed to look for a new job - but being a NEET has been pretty shit after the first year and a half. I at least now had more than enough time to figure what I want in life and how to do it, and I've been looking for a job as well as exercising more lately. Haha I stopped having birthday parties when I turned 8. Never had a party after this. Mom would some times bake a cake for me, so thats pretty lovely of her. The only people who know the date of birthday are my parents, grandparents and uncle and aunts from my mother's side. Ive taken off this info from facebook, so people just dont fucking know. If one day I ever invite people to celebrate my shitty birthday with I guess no one will come. I just dont have strong bonds with people. I know one guy who I think I have a bond with(like a friend). There are some other people which I like, although it's only a few people and it's not strong. The rest of the people Ive met in my lifetime and the other rest I have never met are just disposable trash.

Birthdays are only good when you have something to celebrate(or you feel getting older is worth celebrating). Now that I'm older I will just buy vodka for my birthdays.

When I woke up no one was there except for 2 guys cleaning out my barn (it's weird that we even had one). My mom called and said I had to help them.
