It's like a pillow inbetween your legs. Wetting them in your room or somewhere feels great. Even wetting them feels good. They absorb your body heat (assuming you have plastic backed diapers), so they stay warm and feel nice, even when they're soaked.
The only problem is you can't really fap while wearing them, and the good brand diapers last for hours. You also have to shower or clean up some how after you change. I'd also get boxer briefs to help hold the diaper's tapes together.

The plastic backed ones make lots of noise. I like to dampen the sound by wearing multiple pairs of boxer-briefs. Two pairs of those and a pair of pants will usually be enough to dampen the sound. Loose fitting pants work better so the diaper doesn't show up as some kind of visible bulge. Diapers can and do leak if they're saturated enough. This means too much total liquid or too much liquid at once. Sitting down puts pressure on the absorbent material, which means it can be pressed out of the diaper. Even good brand diapers will have this issue if you wet them too fast when they already are wet.

Cloth backed diapers will not sound nearly as bad (assuming you get good quality diapers) but the ones I've used (Abena's cloth back diapers) tend to not retain body heat. So when they're wet they tend to get colder than your body temperature, which isn't as comfy IMO.
