I have done this the entire time I have been in college. If I can't get the end seat but being there early I won't go to class. Maybe its my social anxiety creeping up again.

It's seriously like they WANT me to skip my lectures and fail out of uni...

It's your fault for getting their late.

As a fat guy though I always made sure I memorized the entire seating pattern and chose seats that always had a few empty seats around them. In full classes this sucked so I had to be extra early every time to get an isle seat where I can throw my fat off into the isle so people next to me weren't getting touched by my fat.
