Happened to me last night

I have nightmares quite often that I was held back in school and I'm well in to my 20s. The school is often more like a prison and I try to escape.

More about this particular setting though. I can still hear her voice, touch her face, hear her laugh and feel my heart melt when I smile. Then I awaken in a cold basement, alone, because I''m not sure what's worse, forcing myself back into reality sooner so the dream doesn't hurt for as long afterward, or staying inside the dream for relative years and spending a life with her there, happy, and then spending the rest of my day depressed and not wanting to move.
