Had something similar happen to me, but it's gotten better since undergoing a few ECT sessions.

I still have the memories, but they don't feel "real" anymore. I don't think they were ever real to begin with.

But I remember seeing my best friend shoot a mutual acquaintance in the head. It was absolutely nothing like anything I've ever seen. It wasn't even the visuals of what I saw that affected me the most, but the sound it made.

But now it doesn't matter anymore.
