Symptoms seem to flucuate based on stimulation, thinking, lack of sleep and stress. I tried to keep it together while playing Uno with other patients for maybe 30 minutes before it felt like my head was going to pop. I couldn't comprehend what the person next to me was saying and thought she must be evil or out to get me.

It's sort of like tripping if you have done psychedelics before but it's harder to know what to expect. New symptoms come and go, such as different hallucinations that you were not prepared for. It's easy to ignore hallucinations once you realize they are just that, but very difficult at first before you find out.

I am not sure if all people suffering from schizophrenia are like this but usually a fit can last 14-45 days, then there are long gaps with almost no symptoms. It may be because I was diagnosed recently and it hasn't progressed very far. I have relapsed twice and have spent about 1.5 months in a couple mental wards so far.
