I know someone close to me that actually did step on a mine in Iraq years ago, they're fucked up for life. If it doesn't kill you, it'll shake your brains up and you'll never be the same person. It's sad as hell, but that's the way it is. You know what you're signing up for.

I'm joining the Navy soon, I don't have it in me to do the shitty job that the infantry in the Army/Marines has to put up with but I respect the hell out of them for it.
