The saddest moment for humanity will be the end of the world, eventually it will burn up.
but its not that we all die. There will be space arks and only the top 0.4% will get to leave, the rich, the highly intelligent and important.
i know you nihilists don't care about others or yourselves that much but try to picture this. masses watching the ships leave knowing they are fucked, many trying to forcibly board, the american cityfolk going apeshit running around like monkeys, the masses crying and praying for god, screaming heard almost everywhere. But they all roast to death.
thats pretty fucked up.

The human race will be wiped out from earth well before its destruction

This
It will take a very long time befofe the Earth is physically destroyed or otherwise becomes inhospitable by the Sun.
Much, much longer than probability says humans will be wiped out from Earth, at least.

>implying that humanity will last long enough to build ships like you described
Humanity will wipe itself out sooner than you think. Few will survive, and things will be back to as they should be.

No, anon. No. The world won't end in such a spectacular manner.
We'll die out slowly, after the Bees go. Poverty will start to spread like a plague, starvation hitting everyone. Even the 1% would feel it.
Lower classes would die out, and more and more of the worlds freshwater and oil would be used on wars. Wars for whatever food is left. The freshwater used in machines of war. Then the water will run out too. Desalinised water becoming the norm, but a rare norm at that as more and more resort to drinking from puddles and eating whatever animals and bugs they can get their hands on.
Rots would start and government would tear itself to shreds.
In a last ditch attempt to get water, the ice caps would be bombed to shit. Coastal communities and Island Nations are destroyed over night.
The world is much smaller now, most of what we knew now under water.
Whatever warheads that are left would be fired at this point, in a fanatic defiance of Mutually Assured Destruction, as the last flooded nations blow themselves to ash.
The earth is bathed in Radioactive fire as those who lived this long try their hardest to continue living. If anyone survives this baptism of pain, they die out within 6 months from starvation, dehydration and radiation poisoning.
No one would survive.
