Grinding is more for when you're experienced with the subtle flavours. You'd probably want something labelled light roast or similar to begin with.

You need to find your own flavour, what I do is buy 2-3 packs at the time and see what I like, currently I have 4 favourites and buy a new pack to try when shopping for coffee. I buy already ground, store it sealed jars.
