SSRIs aren't like antibiotics where you can just double dose and nothing bad will really happen, you have to follow the dosage religiously.

I find that a weird choice of words. I got basically nothing from sert and cycled round a bunch of different meds before landing on prozac/fluoxetine as the one that actually works for me and its been frankly pretty great.

A good doctor, and they are quite rare these days. It takes a lot of effort and investigation to find both the cause and most appropriate treatment for depression and mental health issues. If you haven't had blood tests before an anti-depressant is prescribed, then you probably don't have a doctor that is willing to give you the best treatment.

I know Shipman is a meme around here, but that's why he had thousands of loyal patients who trusted him more than the police/newspapers. He was notorious for not resting until his patients were satisfied and were on the best, most appropriate treatment.

Anyway, one thing I will suggest is zinc supplements, I don't know if you are deficient, but people with anxiety tend to be, and often getting zinc levels back up alone is all that is needed to reduce anxiety. You should ask your doctor for a blood test to determine any mineral deficiencies, although it may be a lot easier just to do it yourself

It could also be Vitamin D deficiency, if you notice symptoms are worse in winter, then I'd say it's almost certain, try and get some more sun now that it's April.

as a person who went through the process of dla->pip, this isnt the case at all, they should have sent a letter saying that you needed to ring them up and inform the dwp you wanted to switch over, and then they send you a bunch of forms and your application gets "fast" tracked, but i think the boat has sailed for that period, after the dla runs out she will need to reapply for pip as if she is just trying from the very start which means that there will be a long gap where she wont be getting any money (yes they pay you for all the months you missed while they were sorting out your app but the time still passes for a few months where you wont be getting any money)

I've been thinking about this for a while even as a lefty but I doubt this is the reason. We have a right wing government and have for years. Not like it's a taboo opinion to have unless you're being openly racist or whatever.
Might be something to do with who the jokes are targeted at. Correct me if I'm wrong but a large proportion of the mainsteam right has a more conservative/authoritarian vibe whereas left wing politics is normally not. This means leftys can make fun of people in power which we don't feel bad for. Whereas if a comedian is siding with the power and putting down people "below" them it doesn't really work.
I'm basically rambling at this point as I don't know myself. Maybe if a left wing leader got into power the right would have more comedians.

this is true for the assessment itself, if i recall though they have to bring in doctors for the appeal though which is why appeals usually go through, but im not 100% on this as i have been with other stuff, right now though its kind of pointless since the date she could have done the dla pip transfer has im sure gone, but with the new app, it should be straightforward and your aunt will get onto pip when the dla runs out, even if they reject her straight away, appeal and you will win, and they still backdate all the payments from right when you sent in the application

as for the carers allowance im not quite sure what to do about that since my mother wasnt able to get it

2400 calories and 180g protein with all the calcium and hydration a person needs and im still on a caloric deficit.

It really is the patrician diet. I could swap some of it for some mars milk though thats a bit more calories and less protein.
