Old fag I never have been on a bike take a course if you have no senpai or friends to teach you, I lost a brother and 2 troops to being young and dumb on bikes wear a helmet and be safe cars WILL kill you and you need xp, be fun and safe I woud ride but IED got me
>>
Buy an automatic cardio it's that hard you fucking moron. It ain't that hard, dumbass.
>>
>>36125748
>>36125795
I mean when pulling out. I keep fucking the clutch and throttle up. Still a newb though. I know to go slow but haven't ridden enough to know the sweet spot I've been told of.
>>
If youre talking about when you go back to moving after the red light you need to hold the clutch like just by half on the friction zone and then let it go slowly as you move, just search for clutch control on internet you fucking moron
>>
>>36125916

practise somewhere quiet, leave the throttle at idle and slowly let the clutch out, feel for the biting point, when the clutch bites, slowly apply some revs and pull away, keep your foot over the rear break to make sure you dont spazz panic and throw the bike
>>
Are there many bikes that come with semi-auto transmissions like a lot of quad bikes have?

I don't like the idea of an automatic at all, but I think I'd prefer not having to use a clutch.
>>
>>36125916
start accelerating before you start releasing the clutch. obviously, don't accelerate too hard, but enough to start carrying you forward once the clutch is let go.
>>
>>36125941
there are, i think aprilia has some, but you will be forever mocked by other motorcycle bros.

Always make sure you're in first gear when coming to a complete stop. Do not launch from any other gear. If you still fuck up, go try the DBT on /o/.

>>
>>36126714
Thank goodness. I would start preparing for your license test in an empty parking lot or something. If you're thinking about riding with a permit only, quite a few states have changed or are changing laws to only allow you to renew your permit like 3 times every two years or something, so that'll suck. Practice your clutch, make sure you shift to first when stopping like I said. It'll help you start doing these things automatically.

>>36126768
Yeah, you'll probably slip on gravel at least once. You could get taken out by a car too. You just never know.

At the end of the day, for me, none of that shit matters to me. It's all worth it to feel the way I do when I ride.

Not OP but my family never helped me get a car. I got a cheap motorcycle instead. Learned little by little.

I had a cheap Kawasaki ninja 250cc from 2006, I had a bunch of normies express to me how cool my bike was.

Even got a number once.
When I go out on dates from okcupid or pof i pick them up on my bike because it's an amazing way to break the touch barrier and she'll be dependent on you right from the get go

Funny story. I once picked up an Asian chick who looked good in her profile pics. Turns out they must have been from 100 years ago because she seemed to have gained 300lbs.

Being the beta I am. I was nice to her and still went out on the date. My bikes suspension got fucked. It must have been a hilarious sight to anyone watching us.

This is simply not true. I have a car, motorcycle, full-time job, and I'm 6ft tall.

Yet I've still never kissed a girl... although granted, I am a rarebot and most of the fagots with these things are huge fucking normies.
>>
>>36129254

There's such thing as permits
>>
>>36126342

That bike isn't even THAT nice to where you can feel bad about having him drive it.

It's a nice bike, but nothing special.

And to OP, how the fuck do you fuck up something so simple?

Just hold the clutch when and while stopping, and when the light turns green, accelerate the throttle a bit and then slowly let the clutch go little by little until you're not holding it down and the bike is moving purely from the throttle.

My guess is that you're trying to take off quickly but you don't have the dexterity for it. Am I right?

It could also be your bike. How big is it? What's the engine size? Is it built for two people?

And lastly. Not trying to be offensive but it could be that you lack the strength. Equally bad would be if you're a small guy but your bike is very heavy and then you have a woman weighing another 120lbs behind you.

Basically if the bike is so small that it's weak, that can be an issue. If the bike is so big that it's heavy as it is and then you add a woman to that equation, also an issue.

But experience definitely can mitigate those things.

And it's normal for the bike to feel weird btw. Having a passenger makes the bike awkward and remember to tell your passenger not to try to sway the bike with their body weight.

I had a dumb bitch who would not quit doing that and made the ride very unbalanced

Nice chav bike m8, you nick many handbags on that?
>>
>>36125682
stop your bike in neutral.
literally fucking do not accelerate, we are just learning how the clutch is gonna work.
press the clutch, shift into 1st
now gently let go a bit of the clutch.
see how your bike is moving? you are now riding a bike.
notice how you can release the clutch bit by bit now until you release it completely and you are moving in 1st, not stalling.

dominating this behavior is what makes you not stall because you understand the bike. all you need to know is to give it gas now, at some point in the srquence abive that YOU should figure out where
>>
Been thinking about getting a bike for a long time but I'm a manlet and have trouble touching the floor on most bikes and also doing a CBT or test with others would completely fuck with my anxiety.

If I did get a bike I've been thinking of getting a Kawasaki since I had the disease of the same name when I was a kid

No such thing. Licenses are given by individual states. My state requires an endorsement to ride a motorcycle. The easiest way to get one is to take a safety/riding course. Other states may not have that requirement at all.
