What's better?
>doing 100 push ups in one sitting
or
>doing 30in the morning, doing 30in the afternoon and doing 40 in the evening
Or are these equal in term of effectiveness (if your goal is big muscles)?

>if your goal is big muscles
then you need weights and a gym

don't focus on reps, focus on time
100 in the morning
100 in the afternoon
100 in the evening
Just bench if you're trying to build your chest. Faggot.

if you can do 100 push ups in one sitting it already means you have pretty fucking big muscles, so let's get that out of the way.
you need to start with learning proper form, get a strong breathing habit and progressively add reps.
at this point i'm not even sure you can break 10 straight push ups properly so i'm gonna suggest you dumbell training. that'll give you big muscles faster than any amount of push ups will.

why would I listen to him?
>>36023207
because when you stop being a meme spouting faggot it's actually a great workout
>>36022713
Shit. I 3 sets of 10 and call it a day. I do this 2-3 times a week.
>>36022713
doing 100 pushups is dumb
past 50 you should be adding weight to your back instead. put weights in a backpack and do pushups, or incline your pushups so your feet are on a chair or something
>>36022757
And a 10km run?
>>36022729
can't afford gym.
are dumbbells a good idea?
>>36022713
experiment and stick with whichever hurts more
>>36022713
first of all buy these, they're dirt-cheap and you will engage more muscle and prevent wrist concussions
you can also do other bodyweight excersises with them
as for your question - doing one heavy session is better than a few of light sessions, but if you're a newbie and wanna do 100 pushups at once you will rip your triceps
