I did. Well we don't have forests here but I walk to the outskirts of town and just along the small farm roads.

Cause no plants have any leaves. Sure its warmer out now, but everything is still dead.

I took a six mile walk in the woods the other day. Was a decent little hike, but I'm sick of going around the same trails over and over.

Once May rolls around, I get to go solo hiking in the Amazon. Probably gonna take a few trips in the warmer months to go camping here in my own country, too.

I do but I start feeling lonely/get bored after a while for some reason and just want to go back home.

Similar thing with my grandfather. He came from Europe, and was an avid outdoors man there, and continued it here, but he did get annoyed that it was more difficult in the US compared to in Europe.

However, there are public forests in many states, and some private forests you can probably get memberships to, so it's not all that bad. In fact, it is even better if you can get access to a private forest

That may be the best bet to go. I know your feel though. I've been trying to find public forests for quite some time now, and the types of trees that grow in them so I can find specific mushrooms. I did find one forest with mushrooms I was looking for (technically more of a park with a section with a lot of trees), but it's like 30 minutes away
