American here. I make about $32k a year in a boring office job that I hate. I make just enough to afford a small apartment and make car payments. Apathy has really been hitting me hard lately.

I took out a small loan to live off of during the semester. Didn't budget it for shit and pissed it all away.

Now I'm broke, my power's been cut, and I need to survive for another month

i'm 100k in debt from college, barely make enough to pay for rent + food, the idea of getting a salaried office job is enough to make me want to off myself

loan people calling me all day every day asking how i'm going to pay them

i have no real skills other than a high iq and ability to abstract, my memory is shit from smoking pot every day in high school, also have a few mood and body disorders that prevent me from being truly happy and confident around others

i fantasize constantly about starting over instead of biting the bullet and making my life better now because i feel like i'm damaged goods physically and mentally

Yes it does. I would just spend 40 a week and save 10. Before you know it you'll have enough for an xbox or whatever. Even if you don't want anything expensive it's nice to have the savings so when you do see some shit you can just buy it. It's very empowering
