I used to mix up white russians a lot. You can really get hammered pretty consistently through the day on drinks like milkshakes if you experiment with how you make em. I have a friend who does and he is usually on /b/ though. He's cool about it.

A few people at work drag race as a hobby with project cars and talk about /o/ a lot. I mentioned I've heard of 4chan and browse /out/ sometimes and they just gave me "oh okay I don't care" looks.

I browse a lot of boards but I've only ever mentioned the niche boards like /out/, /diy/, etc. to people outside of 4chan. Nobody knows I browse autistic shit like /r9k/, /g/, /biz/, etc.

My brother and old roommate worked there. They both told me the same thing.

It's a nice place to work, the people there are pretty well off for what they do and it's not like typical retail so it's not as bad as working at some store.

A majority of people working there tend to stay however. For the rest of their lives. Both of them had stories and I eventually meet some of these people when hanging out with them where they went in for a job and made a career out of it.

It's apparently very easy to get extremely comfortable with the working conditions to the point where people will drop out of school and stop pursuing anything else and live life on easy mode working at Costco for the rest of their lives.


If that's what you want, you should be happy to work there. If not, you don't have to stay, but apparently many people do.

My goal is to work there and eventually become a purchaser.

A lot of "not like the other girls/one of the guys" types have this issue because they are so used to being around men who carry the conversation for them that they've forgotten how to contribute to one themselves. There is more to everyone than what you see on the surface, don't be so quick to write others off. Also join clubs that interest you or online forums outside of 4chan. The best way to make friends is to be an interesting person yourself with your own hobbies
