You know, it's funny. If you asked me last year if I believed in god I would have said no, but now I'm not too sure. It makes me remember when I was a kid, how I loved to read the stories in the bible. I liked to know of all the angles and demons especially. I Remember in highschool I was shocked when no one in my English class knew what the tower of Babel was. These days more and more I think of things in metaphysical terms. I can't shake the feeling that more then the physical exists and that death isn't the end. That there is some sort of higher order to things. I suppose you hit a certain age, maybe around 12 or 13, and then you're basically the same from that point on. I guess I've always been a religious person at heart even if I tried not to be, it just isn't something that you can choose to stop being.

It's important to understand that the majority of people can't speak about many different things. They don't know much and they don't care to. Talking about things they don't care about will actually make them feel offended, as if you're calling them stupid even if you aren't.

Usually it's best to talk about whatever it is that is relevant to their lives, i.e. work, college, whatever, current social events are also pretty big (these can be political, but it's risky).

You can also just let them speak. People love speaking and you just have to feign interest, nod or say "oh" from time to time. They love.
