so i started talking to this girl a few months ago and we started going out.
she was very upfront about having bipolar depression and that she's on meds.
didn't have an issue with it, she seemed fine for a while.
as time went on i have seen her go through bouts of depression and just not do much of anything.
not even joking when i say she went 3 days straight laying in bed smoking cigarettes and playing video games only getting up to go to the bathroom and occasionally eat.
she seems like she has no appetite and barely eats when she does.
shes always complaining about how her meds don't actually help and says she should just stop taking them.
im not worried about her working because she does get disability. but i am worried about her mental health, i keep feeling like shes gonna snap and do something crazy or she's going to slowly get worse.
my question is, is there anything that i can do to help her?
is it even possible to get better?

i should stress that she's not always like this.
shes always very quiet and introverted but shes functional most of the time but she gets realy depressed for days at a time.
shes said its been like this since she was a kid and that she just lives with it.
i do think we could communicate more but being the autistic beta that i am i have no idea how to approach this, i feel like its just going to push her further away.

I live in the city now but I grew up in a small town in texas of <2500 people, it was pretty shit really the kind of dead end place no one ever really gets out of

>had a teacher that had been paddled by another teacher there when he was a kid then came back to teach

>had a dollar store, a smoke shop, a tiny grocery store, about 3 fast food places and a diner everyone hung out at

As a kid it was pure hell but I get the feeling that's just because I was heavily bullied and the whole town hated me, now as I get older I can kind of see the appeal of moving to a small town like it and opening a diner, passing the days slowly talking about the local gossip
