Well it's in great condition now. This morning windows explorer was freezing simply when I tried opening a folder. 3 antivirus scans found nothing, which is correct because I haven't downloaded much in a while, and haven't installed anything in years.

I've seen people make jokes that bad all the time and get away with it. You probably just made it retroactively look bad by spilling spaghetti and souring the mood. Even teachers of mine have used racial humor and no one gave a shit. Next time just try to keep a smile on your face and chuckle about it so people get you're kidding. People might have even thought you actually had racist feelings when you got nervous about it afterwards. It'd help too to just add on to the joke afterwards and stand by it. Might not be able to think of anything great in the heat of the moment but it might be better than nothing.
