No, typically they're actually much better because usually men won't separate from the mother of their children except in dire circumstances.

The poor quality of single mother parenting is mostly due to society allowing no fault divorce as a means for inadequate mothers to externalise blame against their SO, and then giving then the capacity to remove their influence but keep their support through court awards.

Exceptions exist but this is the trend.
Basically, women don't face consequences for being trashheaps.
