It doesn't matter how their personality differs, the female at the top isn't exactly good at anything either most of the time, they're often not even cute. All it takes is that she is really good at manipulating others and that she keeps up the status quo of societal hatred towards girls who would dare steal males from what you called the wannabes and the plains.

And the percentage doesn't work like that + the "alpha female" is literally ostracized more heavily than a beta female. Always. If a girl is talented and intelligent and also attractive enough to make herself noticeable she goes into the "Alpha Female" category which automatically makes her the enemy of all other females. This is where Stacy tends to go and play her game. She often approaches males to ask certain questions to ascertain who is breaking the guy's heart, she then gets the guy's attention by talking trash about the girl who isn't giving him attention. In turn, due to loyalty for her good service, all of her army will follow suit and trash talk the female who was standing out too much.
