Today I decided to leave my cave and explore into the Normiesphere and I need to vent. At some point, I ended up at IKEA, to buy a plant and maybe a shelf. Maybe life will become more enjoyable with new interior.
Frankly, what I saw depressed me severely. The blank expression in people's faces, as they tow a heavy veil of existential void behind them. Married couples pushing 40 wondering if the child was really that great of an idea.
Am I just projecting or are Normies not as happy as they are thought of?
It seemed to me like 90% are coasting through their life semi-unconscious, deep down realizing the futility of their existence, their insignificance, the lack of purpose, their mortality, doing everything they can to distract themselves from it.
Maybe I'm just projecting.

You're actually right though. In order to cut a board into 2 pieces it takes 1 cut. It took Marie 10 minutes to make 1 cut. She is going to work at the same pace to cut a board into 3 pieces. This means she will make 2 cuts. The problem tells you she make 1 cut per 10 minutes. So it would take her 20 minutes to make 2 cuts yielding 3 pieces at 1 cut per minute.
