Hello everyone and welcome and welcome to the start of a crusader quest! You'll be tasked with building up your own chapter of holy crusaders to retake the holy land and slay the demonic hordes that dwell beyond the Walls of the last human kingdom. Every stat starts with a single point. The scoring of the stat is as follows

Instead of working on your individual combat prowess you've tailored your abilities to enhance the skill of others. Your leadership ability is nothing to scoff at and you can terrify anyone who doesn't follow orders unto obedience most of the time. Now, everyman has his own moral scruples and things he values most, which were yours? There are 4 different virtues, each starts at 1 point and caps at 5 and you have 7 points to spend on them, they determine how you will react partially how you will react to any stressful situation and may determine if you succeed at certain checks. Self control determines at what point younstart to hunger, courage directly affects the amount t if willpower you have, faiuth determines if you can use a holy artifact and conscience and self control relate tonyour overall humanity score.

Looks like you're a faithful one, i d expect nothing less from a man if the church. You are at humanity score 5, your hunger threshold is 3 and you have 2 willpower points to start with. You regain willpower at intervals and can spend it to gain an automatic success on any check. Drop to 0 willpower points and you have to roll a willpower or faith check or lose all motivation. Now, onto how you've equipped is also important. What lkind of load out of skills and weaponry did you choose from?

Alright, this'll be a simple explanation of mechanics for the quest. To start off every battle is split into arcs focused on a different objective. At the beginning of each arc you can choose battle command that will affect the rest of the arc. Your abilities to start with are 'Reinforcements' and 'Rally'. Reinforcements brings in a group of basic melee infantry units that follow orders as best as possible. Rally has you roll either Charisma and leadership or manipulation and intimidation, you have 3 intimidation and 3 leadership. The difficulty for this roll is 6 unless stated otherwise which means you have to roll a 6 or higher to succeed. If you succeed every unit under your command gets a bonus dice for all their rolls for the rest of the arc. Pick one for this battle.

So most battles are fought between two different forces coimporising of different squads that either contain 4 units or 1 unit. Each force has a commander unit that when killed greatly lowers that forces morale and prevents them from using command abilities. You start this battle with a squad of conscripts and yournswuad which comprises of 3 Templar's and yourself. Squad rosters are important as they may allow that squad to take special actions. By default every squad has two actions that can be spent on either the move action or attack action or some combination thereof. The enemy force has a single group of Templars that are one move action away.since yourn squad has three Templars they can move, attack, or form a shield wall. Since you're a spellcaster the squad has access to any of your spells as a complement to another action. The conscripts will move forward and attack. You get to go first this round. What will you do with your actions?

4 successes with your squad and 4 with the conscripts. Let's assume that the enemy is not wearing armor and thus can't soak damage. The enemy squad drops from 28 health to 20 health, thus the squad has to suffer a dice penalty because their units are suffering pain penalties. This'll go back and forth until one force routs or is killed. Any questions about the quest or the system?
