Welcome to The Lost Island Quest. Last thread our hero, Alan Rodain, attended Paul's funeral, made progress on his wizarding skills and helped lead a rejuvenation of the Circle as an institution. Now, he spends time training with his ally Kyra.

You spend a lot of your free time training with Kyra. You haven't talked much since the siege and you've been so busy dealing with the new arrivals, your relationship issues and other assorted tasks that you find yourself missing Kyra's barely noticeable presence.

Oddly, despite her being the best at playing the disappearing act, finding her is never all that hard. In The Sword and Shield, The Drunken Lion or sometimes you just see her on the street. When you want to find her she seems to find you. You tell her you want to spend some time honing your more subtle skills. But more than that you want to coordinate and practice working alongside her.

She agrees and together the two of you spend some time outside the walls of Seaside and inside the halls of The Fighter's Guild honing your knife work and your skill at hitting the vital areas of an enemy. Gale even volunteers to be your practice opponent for perfecting your teamwork. Gale is actually very fucking good at no-selling many of your more inferior tactics, repaying any mistake with a pommel to the face or a gauntlet to the gut.

The two of you really have to work together to get past his defenses all while dodging the blunted greatsword he swings at you in wide arcs. It takes focus, concentration and a sense of the other's location and plan of attack to make any progress at all. Thankfully the residual magical effects of the coat you wear seem to make the process easier, allowing Kyra to understand and follow your intentions quickly.

Soon the two of you are working like a well-oiled machine, utilizing flanking tactics and feinting maneuvers, piggybacking off the other in absolute silence. You two are so in-sync that at one point you fear you've formed another one of those mental bonds. Thankfully that's not the case. By the end of it all, you've assassinated Gale a dozen times over.

The training you do outside the walls places Kyra much more in the role of educator. She throws explosive concoctions at you and expects you to not get hurt. Where she acquired such an abundant supply of these things, you have no idea, but thankfully the lessons work rapidly.

At first, even when you were able to gain some distance from the explosion's epicenter, you still ended up slightly burned and injured. However, with a few tips from her about how to utilize terrain, wind currents, your own agility and how to roll through fiery bursts in a way to minimize your skin's actual exposure to danger you manage to perfect avoiding a majority of the damages caused by being caught in the vicinity of an explosive burst.

After passing your “final” – Kyra tossing five of the explosives at you at once – the two of you sit together eating stew as the sun slowly sets.

“Good progress,” she says simply as the two of you dish out your respective portions.

“Thanks. For helping me,” you tell her.

She nods.

Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkword creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.

They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.

You are Ryoji Shida. A transfer student and delinquent who ended up in the school by mistake, with no fighting ability, but you may have a stronger connection to the Darkworld than thought possible.

“So, what's the plan?”

You crack your knuckles and ponder over the question asked of you by Rei when you through the door to class that morning. You walk over to your desk and take a seat before answering the question. “I have no idea. They've got Alice, and we can't exactly fight them for her. I think we've already learned first hand that we can't beat Class 3 in straight up combat.”

“So... what? We just go along with all of this?” Rei spits. “That's a load of crap!”

Akira places a hand on Rei's shoulder and solemnly shakes her head. “There's not much else we can do. Not right now.”

“Don't worry,” you reply, “We'll come up with some kind of plan soon. In the meantime, Yamato's going to give me and Chihiro the right to visit and speak to Alice, so we'll have to take as much advantage of that as we can.”

You grimace at the thought of Class 3 keeping the Darkworld girl in the same horrifying conditions they're keeping Raiden in.

“Speaking of,” Rei begins, “I don't get why Yamato still thinks our classes are all buddy-buddy.”

She points toward the front of the room, where you notice Yamato standing by Saki's desk about... something. They're too far away to make out any words.

“What do you think they're talking about?” Rei asks.

“Whatever it is, I don't like it.” You glare at Yamato. This guy talks a good game, builds up this idea that he believes in honor and all that crap, and that he's trying his best with the whacko's who work under him, but you can tell. It's all and act. It has to be. Sure, he seems reasonable most of the time, but no-one who could let people like Taka do what they do could truly be a good guy. Even you're smart enough to see that.

Eventually, Yamato gives a small bow and takes his exit.

Immediately, Saki rises from her chair and makes her way towards your desk with a confused look on her face.

“What was that about?” you ask.

“He... said he was talking to Principal Wei, and they both agreed I had enough potential to skip up a class... he wanted to meet with me during first break to discuss it.”

“Sounds like a date,” you joke.

“Why, are you jealous?” Saki fires back. Damn, you walked right into your own line.

Trying hard not to sound like you care, you ask, “So... what did you tell him?”

“What do you think I said?” Saki replies. “I told him to go to hell.”

You smirk. “Really? I would have thought moving up in the academic world would be, like... your dream.”

Saki nods. “Well... it is, but come on, Ryoji. I'm not stupid. We've seen Class 3... what exactly would I moving up into?”

Suddenly, Saki places a hand to her forehead and winces.

“You okay?” Rei asks.

“Yeah... just a bit of a headache...” Saki explains.

“Talking to Yamato would do that to you,” you laugh.

Saki laughs in turn. “Yeah... besides, I've already called for a Class meeting to address the Alice situation,” she adds, “People are confused and scared. As head of Class, it's my duty to make sure moral is kept. We can't have panic at a time like this.”

You lean back in your chair and groan. “Do I really have to miss first break for this?”

Saki shakes her head. “It would be great if everyone attended, but the only people who really have to are myself, the class president in Kosuke, and the leader of the... I suppose now defunct... Darkworld Justice Division. Terrible name, by the way. Who was your leader during those missions, anyway?”

You shrug. “Kinji, the Gym Teacher, was in charge of overlooking everything, but he quit as soon as Class 3 got involved. I don't know if it was in protest or because he thought Yamato's crew could handle it, but after a brief talk with Yamato, he decided to back away from the group.”

Saki pauses. “Okay... so who was in charge after that?”

You think back. After Kinji took off, none of the DJD actually even brought up the idea of needing a new leader, so you guys never chose one. Who was the leader during those last missions?

Continuation from the last thread

Our story follows Gwyn and his band of homunculi who have currently come under attack with their newfound dwarven allies.

The last roll resulted in partial success for suggesting a retreat

Gwyn was visibly frightened as the arrows fell around them. He tugged at Bragg's arm, pulling the dwarf to face him. The dwarf let out a flurry of curses, not particularly directed at Gwyn, but his expression grew to one of grim understanding as Gwyn voiced his concerns. With a thunderous bellow Bragg ordered the defensive unit to retreat back to the camp, hoping to reclaim their weapons and turn the tides of battle. Slowly and carefully the ring of dwarves crept back into the woods, each man with his eyes peeled for any sight of their attackers. A few stray arrows fell short of their marks, or sailed wildly into the treetops, before fading away to shimmering silver. Suddenly Gwyn heard a soft rustle behind him, then all around.

Following the events at the end of the
Cell Games Saga, the titular villain confronts Future Trunks in his imperfect form with the intention of killing him and stealing his time machine. However, Future Trunks, having returned from the past after enduring a grueling battle with Perfect Cell--which ended in Perfect Cell's defeat at the hand of an enraged SSJ2 Gohan--retains a massive power advantage over his imperfect foe. A minor skirmish ensues, but Imperfect Cell recognizes that he has no chance against the young Saiyan.

Future Trunks: "This is the end for you, Cell!."

Future Trunks coolly grips the hilt of his sword and draws it out from its sheath, focusing the tip of the blade in Imperfect Cell's direction.

Imperfect Cell cowers in fear; his serpentine eyes dart in all directions searching for an escape.

In this moment, Future Trunks' eyes fade to white from their Super Saiyan blue. He has been struck with a critical hit! Future Trunks keels over in front of Imperfect Cell, seemingly incapacitated. The attacker remains hidden.

Imperfect Cell quickly takes advantage of this opportunity and absorbs Future Trunks.

Cell: Muahahahahaha!!!

Having absorbed Future Trunks, Imperfect Cell instantly transforms into Perfect Cell. All of Future Trunks' memories come flooding into Cell's mind, leaving him with an agonizing headache. Cell begins to sense the mysterious energy that Trunks must've felt just before he was attacked. Cell adopts a combat stance, but the attacker never reveals itself. Slightly perturbed, Cell decides to move forward with a newly hatched plan.

Cell blasts into the air at maximum speed, creating a sonic boom in his wake. He is headed for Trunks' home!

Perfect Cell: "I will spare your life if you give me the information I desire."

Cell holds Bulma by her throat, leaving her feet dangling almost two feet above the floor.

Perfect Cell: "I'm going to set you down now, but I expect an answer."

Cell throws Bulma into large computer tower, scattering discs and mechanical blueprints across the floor as it is knocked into a large desk. Bulma braces her arm, whimpering as she crawls towards the corner of the room to rest her wounded body against the wall.

Bulma: "You might as well kill me! I'm not telling you a damn thing, you monster!"

Cell glances at the discs littered across the floor, noting a few for their clearly marked labels: 'Son Goku', 'Vegeta', and 'Saiyan Genetics'.

Perfect Cell: "Looks like you'll get your wish. Besides, I'm sure I'll find what I need in that famous brain of yours."

Bulma feigns defeat before quickly throwing an activated DynoCap towards Cell. Before Cell can blink, he is hit with a all-terrain vehicle, sending him through the entrance wall of the Brief compound. Cell almost immediately recovers from the clever attack, returning to the spot where Bulma was lying injured.

Perfect Cell: "The bitch is gone; I can't sense her."

Cell glares at the discs she left behind.

Aafter spending hours using Bulma's ravaged laboratory to investigate the contents of her research, Cell returns to Trunks' time machine. Cell's pale fingers dance across the control panel of the time machine. The time machine responds with an electrical hum, and not a second later, it vanishes from sight.

A blinding light penetrates the cockpit window of the time machine; Cell winces and attempts to shield his eyes. As he regains his vision, he realizes that his mission has been a success.

Perfect Cell: "It's not too far from here; I should make it in time if I go all out!"

Cell leaps from the time machine, landing on a neatly manicured lawn outside of the Capsule Corp. compound. Using a remote controller, Cell returns the time machine to its DynoCap form and swallows it. With great haste, Cell leaps into the air and takes flight, leaving a crowd of bystanders confounded after witnessing Cell arrive and depart with no clear explanation.

Perfect Cell: "All right! This is it! I can sense that damned child; he's falling fast! I must catch him!"

Cell's figure cuts through the air like a bird of prey as he closes in on his target, now hundreds of kilometers away from West City.

Perfect Cell: "Hahahaha!!! I see him!"

Grandpa Gohan reaches out to catch a falling Goku as his cherubic body tumbles towards a ravine.

Goku is beyond Gohan's reach now; all he can do is watch.

Grandpa Gohan's eyes widen as Goku suddenly vanishes from sight before hitting his head at the bottom of the ravine.

Grandpa Gohan: "Wuh?!"

Cell is hovering above Grandpa Gohan's mountain hut, clutching the young, unruly Goku by his jet black hair.

Perfect Cell: "All right, kid, the ball is in your court. Fulfill your destiny! I'll be watching you! Muh-hahahahaha!!!"

Cell drops the screaming child onto the top of the hut, causing him to tumble down the sloped roof and land on his face with a loud thwack.

Perfect Cell: "Oh, and one more thing; you might find this usefull!"

With an outstretched hand, Cell telephathically infiltrates Goku's mind and implants all of the memories he had gained from absorbing Future Trunks.

Perfect Cell: "Ughh, that felt awful."

Cell grimaces in disgust as he shakes off the feeling of being in the alien child's mind.

Perfect Cell: "Don't disappoint me, kid!"

With that, Cell vanishes from sight, leaving Goku awestruck at the doorstep of Grandpa Gohan's hut.

Journal Entry #33: The trip was really nice. I think Ceera really enjoyed it too. I was worried for a bit that she'd have to leave but she said she was staying. Also, Ninety-Nine is the richest student now. I don't even know if she knows what to do with that amount of money.

So, while the trip was nice... It's also nice to be back home.

Continuation of a written quest here a couple weeks ago. Done with exams so figured I'd see if there's still any interest.

Unaccounted for is a boy from your original tribe who has been helping you out by scouting with his pet wolf, but he isn't truly part of your group yet.

In your possession beyond personal belongings, are a few days worth of dried foods, a nomad style tent, bedding for the three of you, and several lengths of colored cloth that the nomads preferred.

You also have some various trinkets both from your original tribe and the nomads, as well as small valuables like some dyes and food additives, but these have more of a cultural value and so are not of immediate importance.

You whip your phone at the bed, clipping Blowout’s flank. He doesn’t appear to notice.

“Shitting fuck!”

You retrieve your phone and slump down next to the bed, beginning once more to scroll through the news. New posts pile up rapidly, with links to local news channels re-broadcasting the video message. Speculation abounds; it seems that much of the mainstream media hasn’t yet heard of you at all. It makes sense. The average non cape-fanatic barely gives an arse about anything but big name Protectorate members, nevermind some local, nominally unaligned street cape.

You haul yourself to your feet with an ill-tempered sigh and stomp over to where you left your helmet. You sit down in the flea-ridden motel chair and cradle it in your hands. The faintest brown smear is still visible where Belts painted a heart in her own blood last night. Your thoughts turn quickly to the Red Boys and you toss the helmet away angrily.

Recap: You were at a bar, talking to some purple lady when you catch you sister falling from the ceiling. Then you agree to come with the purple lady on whatever her mission is—which is stop some scheme at the local water facility. She and her partner go inside while you take out some sentries outside. After that you face a mysterious swordsman who manages to stab Alodi. You knock him out, get your sister to help Theo while Alodi is taken to the hospital—which is currently having a zombie outbreak. With Sophie's help you clear half the hospital before bringing Alodi into the supply room. A doctor, who also practices martial arts, arrives and agrees to do some field surgery to patch Alodi up while you and Sophie hold off more zombies. Then Alodi is fixed, you say your goodbyes and leave the place to clean itself up while you drive off.

A pig lass stands in the hall outside of the door she just exited, labeled PERSONNEL STORAGE LABS.

Her name is PIGLASS, and she's a bit nervous at the moment.

To her left, a reinforced door has been rigged with what appears to be some homemade explosives and not-so-homemade mines. Large metal poles have been sharpened and welded to the ground to make pikes. PIGLASS isn't completely sure, but she's under the impression that somebody behind it wanted everyone else to stay away.

To her right, the hall turns a corner.

What should she do?

Hello one and all, and welcome to Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Quest. A quest inspired by the incredibly weeaboo series Dangan Ronpa. You like killing games like Battle Royale? You like Murder Mysteries? You just might enjoy this quest! (I make no guarantees though.) This quest is set at the prestigious Yggdrasil Academy International, where a mysterious set of circumstances unfold.

Yggdrasil Academy is a prestigious boarding school catering to a specific set of secondary school students gathered from four countries: The United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the United States. There are two main entry requirements for this academy. One, students must already be attending secondary school, and be at least 16 years of age. Two, students must be the absolute best at a specific talent out of the combined student body of the four countries listed above. There is no way to apply to Yggdrasil Academy. The only way in is for the school itself to scout you. Because all students attending the academy have something they specifically are the absolute best at, they are referred to by a specific title.

Omegas.

As they're the complete end-point when it comes to students in pursuit of that talent, it's only fitting to call these end-points of talent Omegas. After all, there's no surpassing an Omega.

Our Protagonist, Zachary Lineman, is the Omega Actor. After discovering the body of one of his classmates, Zachary went on to solve the case and out the murderer, leading to their execution. As such, the student body has dropped from a fairly sizable sixteen students to a slightly less robust fourteen.
