Hopeful edition.
In the last part, you battled some bandits and returned Selora to her 'home'. Mystery ensued, then you tried to find a legendary sword in the area and failed.

Welcome back to the five or so players who regularly lurk/play this series! Currently it looks like the Island Nation is going full SPQR with colonies n' shit, the Plains Nation got bread and is going mongols n' shit, the Sky Nation is going all dwarves n' shit, and the Lake nation really really want bear pets though they already have a monster pet who's still alive after like 40 years(?).

You figure a name like "C.H.431" isn't appropriate for a little girl. You ask James to give her a better name and he replies that if he was more creative she would already have one. You come up with the name "Nat" and the little girl seems rather giddy and happy about it.

You forcefully crawl and dig your way ever deeper inside the tick's head ripping and tearing away at its flesh covering your entire body in its blood and guts. You then notice something glowing dimly red above you. Thinking that it must be something important to the tick you reach out to it and squeezed tightly it in your hand.
Meanwhile outside of the tick the peeper once again lands on the tick's head cracking it up some more.
The gigantic tick collapses causing the Earth beneath your party's foots to shake. Whatever it is that you did in there it turned the titanic monstrosity into a bloody vegetable.
With the tick neutralized you search inside the tick for a way out. The way you came is too narrow crawl out now is clogged with the flesh and guts that you've been teared away. It's dark inside and you can't see a thing. Suddenly light shines from a crack right above you. You punched and kicked at it until the crack is large enough for you to crawl through. You climbed out of the tick's head with Isaac and Puppy waiting for you outside.

Crew summary
>We are Jack Chitin. We hunt (big) bugs. We are also possessed by an evil demon bug that occasionally makes us murder an entire barracks full of people. Most people don't seem to like that.
>Our good friend Luna Bellus, the Lunar Priestess of smugness. Also moon lasers. She doesn't hate us and is trying to find a way to make us less murdery. She's also some sort of royalty, I guess?
Plot summary
>We killed a giant Forest Grub and ate an entire half an elk.
>Went to Urno and pretended to be a leper to get into the Lunar Shrine and talk to Luna.
>She had some info on our condition, we got told to stay out of trouble until she was off duty.
>Disregarded that completely and broke into a barracks, suddenly bug voices that told us to murder everyone.
>Murdered everyone.
>Got our ass kicked by some sort of fancy big shot paladin, wound up in jail.
>Had some tearful character development with Luna, busted out of jail with Luna's Moon Lasers.
>Got the fuck out of Urno, met a very well-spoken bird-stilt-man in a swamp.
>Agreed to deliver some medicinal ingredients for him, arrived in Casius.
>Casually joked about a man's impending execution
And that's the story so far!
Sit back, relax, the adventure continues momentarily!
ooh cool. thought this died.
You've decided to go pick up your reward at the Walker den. As you slowly approach the den, Luna hesitates for a bit.
Luna Bellus
"Ewww, Jack do we really have to? Those things are really creepy."
Jack Chitin
"Come on, it's not that bad, if you treat them with respect, they will return in kind."
Luna Bellus
"But it looks really dirty inside...", Luna continues to whine
Jack Chitin
"Stop fooling around, and come on.", you say with a sigh
You take a peek inside to see if anybody is at home. An older Walker greets you and asks you what do you need. You tell him about the situation in the swamps and hand over the pouch to the older Walker.
Elder Walker
"Thank you young human. We will not forget your effort, here take these 20 gold pieces and this medallion. If you ever run into other Walker tribes, show them the medallion, they will help you if you need any sort of assistance."
Jack Chitin
"Thank you noble Walker.", said Jack while shaking the Elder Walker's hand
You take your reward and exit the den.

In this thread we are God. We can do anything at all unless It just doesn't make sense. (We can make a rock so big we can't lift it and we can't lift it.)

This is my first quest, so feel free to say "You fucked up son, this is what your doing wrong" and whatnot.
By the way, dice rolling is decided by rolling a d20, top three are chosen, and criticals are prioritized NO MATTER where they are.
So, let's begin.
For the past few millenia, you slumbered in a homely cave in a mountain, unable to hatch due to a lack of magic in this world. Until one faithful day, a comet passed over the heavenly skies, releasing magic back into the world. This is when you were born. This was the dawn of the Age Of Magic.
You knew you were born on a particular continent, known as Europe in our tongue. For your wyrmling years, you remember barely anything about, and in your young adult life, you could really give a tot about your younger self. What you know, is that you were born during a pivotal time, and you matured as a young dragon not too soon afterward, due to a particular unbalance of magical properties.
>You were born during the birth of the Roman Republic, after they got rid of the Monarchy.

>The dawn of World War One, after the Austrian-Hungarian Empire declared war on Serbia.
>The fall of the Wiemar Republic, and the rise of Nazi Germany.

>The Modern Day, as in, literally today.

Your return to the estate wasn't unlike a storm rolling over the horizon.
What merriment had filled its halls before you left fled quickly in the wake of purposeful strides, and the aimless glare that had affixed itself upon your face as you heard Dullem calling out orders and warnings to the still sobering knights. Having the entirety of the forest attempt to rush you was an experience that had left your knight captain deeply shaken; If you were being honest, it had shaken you as well... For a variety of reasons.
You had spent the better part of ten years learning about the seven Mana. Had strived for a decade to try and build an affinity with one of them, and committed their quirks and peculiarities to heart. You knew their personalities, you knew their territories, their many forms and their names.
How Salamander burned with passion.
The cool detachment of Undine's depths.
Gnome's steadfast deliberation.
Of the flighty Jinn.
How Wisp was ever disappointed with those it nurtured.
The mindboggling expansiveness of Luna's knowledge.
...And of course, you were more familiar with the excited claws of Shade more than any else.
"Rinnier, I'm leaving."
You announced your presence distractedly as you ignored your red haired Testament in order to quickly comb the shelves of your library. You scanned title after title, a frustrated scowl growing to accompany your glare as you did so. "Leaving? To Carona?" Nothing. There was nothing here. You discarded one of the books in your hand carelessly, letting it drop to the floor without a second thought as you paced away rapidly to find a different title. "Wha- Irue, what are you doing?" Its spine cracks slightly as you open it, skimming its index and pages at a feverish pace.
You move to drop even this volume, an action preceded by Rinnier managing to catch said book not long after it left your hands. "Slow down, what's going on?"
"Ari's gone." You had too many thoughts trying to be processed, a sign your mind distantly noted was a clear symptom of panic.
"Gone?" Rinnier's voice hedged with concern as she stooped to retrieve another of your discarded books, "You couldn't find her?"
"No, I did." You nearly toss another book away, only stopping once you catch sight of Rinnier's exasperation out of the corner of your eye; It seemed to have grown in proportion with the amount of books she was carrying. "She didn't wander off, something took her."
"...Took?" That brought her to a stop as her own eyes narrowed in thought. "Why? Is she alright? You said you found her, is she-"
"She's fine." You interrupt quickly, not wanting to entertain the thought of otherwise. "I think. She might be hurt, but she should be fine."
"You think?"
"Have you ever heard of a Dryad?" You disregard her question, giving up on your impromptu library search. Seeing the confusion on her face, you press on unabated. "Alouette told me that Fae lived in the forest behind my house; Beyond the river, specifically. She called them 'Lords of the Forest', and said that House Valen has some kind of compact with them."
"Fae?" Rinnier made a face, "Like Faedka? Is that where all the alcohol has been coming from?"
You open your mouth to respond, but find yourself standing there wordlessly as your already overstimulated mind finally screeched to a halt.
"Irue?"
There was some manner of blindly white, hot rage inside of you. It was distant, like a star twinkling beautifully in the sky for you to admire. An entire celestial body of hate. It concerned you how far away it seemed.
"Yes." You answered blankly, "That's probably... Yes. Asche." You glanced back, finding your m/aid carrying a stack of books tall enough to cover her face; Another victim of your mad dash through the library. "I want all Faedka removed from the house."
"Yes."
"No, I said that last time. I want it gone permanently."
"..." She hesitated briefly before answering, "Yes."
You massaged your temples after receiving the dispassionate answer from behind her stack of carried books. Why had they been filling your house with alcohol in the first place? What even was Faedka? For that matter, what were Fae?!
"What's this about a Dryad?" Rinnier nudged you back into movement.
You take a steadying breath as you tell the former princess of what had happened, and the way you had been forced to retreat as the entire forest seemed to come alive after you. The way it had been contained to what you assumed to be Fae lands, and the appearance of the wooden golems not long after. "Ari is still in there, and I have no idea what it wants or why it took her."
"...Or what it is." She finished gravely. "You said you were leaving, what are you planning?"

Recap time!
Jara and Leandros are currently being 'guarded' by Yessir, the unstable mecha-Demon henchman. By twisting the arrow in his head they have set his personality to 'Raging Yessir' mode. In rage mode, Yessir operates in a primal state, forgetting his conditioning at the hands of the mecha-Demon recruiters, and entering a state of psychotic paranoia.
At the end of the previous episode, Yessir asked: "Are you for me or against me? There's only two ways. For me. Against me. I am Yessir. YESSIR!"
Jara decided to waggle her ass again in Yessir's direction. Sadly this had no effect on Yessir, who was screaming at the sky at the time.
At the same time, she asked him: "The real question is, are you against yourself?"
Self-reflection is dangerous to a demon at the best of times, but in Yessir's fragile state he enters into a spiral of self-hate. "You're right!" he wails. "You're right! I sabotage myself all the time! Like just now! Look at me, I ruin every new relationship! I have no greater enemy than myself!"
Yessir's blood is boiling. This is a dangerous state for demons of his race. We'll roll to see how this goes.
First of all, Louie (Jara's sentient snake-tail) is within range--he could possibly attempt to bite Yessir in the thigh. You can decide if you want to do this. First we need to decide how his venom works. So, somebody roll a d10.
1: Louie has no venom, and his teeth are only for show--they're barely sharp enough to penetrate a marshmallow
2: Louie's venom causes a berserker rage. We have no idea what this would do to Yessir in his current state.
3: Louie's venom contains leftover magic from Jara's stone state, and can cause a single limb to turn to rock
4: Louie's venom causes respiratory failure, and will quickly kill or incapacitate victims unless they have artificial lungs/no need to breathe.
5: Louie's venom is a powerful psychedelic, causing terrifying visions, vomiting, and generally providing a very bad trip
6: Louie's psychedelic venom provides a positive, life-affirming trip, with the possibility of curing mental disorders
7: Louie's venom causes his victims to shrink to 1/10th scale
8: Louie's venom causes his victims to turn into frogs
9: Louie's venom causes his victims to become compliant zombie-slaves, becoming part of Louie's Legion
10: Louie's venom is a powerful curative, and can clear a person or demon of all and any physical modifications made to their bodies.

This entire adventure started with fetish shit and by gods, it will continue with more fetish shit. And said fetish shit is a setup for something tragic
The Enki decided it is time to expand our colonies even further, seeing as they are doing it themselves already.
He called the local nobility that has formed there to his court.
Seeing as they are outside of his Administrative system, they might pose a problem, so he decided to make them subservient to him, by sending them to war, hoping that it'll lead to some respect for the Empire.
The Enki however feared that this campaign might cost more than it's worth, so he only send a single Sarerimha together with 3 Sartahazus from the mainland to the colonies, so they could lead their troops to victory.
The Sarerimha was tasked with handing over his command to a local Sartahazu if necessary, and declare him the Sarerimha of this campaign, to ensure the loyalty of the colonial troops.
After arriving there, the Sarerimha gathered the troops of Hinnunaki and marched onto Sindhu-Sauvira.
The Sarerimha sadly, knew nothing about the terrain and almost got lost on his way to Rallah.
A Sartahazu of the colonial troops, made it clear that he is not happy about this situation.
The Sarerimha, sarcastically remarks that he can lead the troops if he wants, surely he would do a better job than an accomplished general, no?
The local Sartahazu took him up on the offer and was declared temporary Sarerimha for this campaign.
Under his leadership, their troops made their way for Sindhu-Sauvira and conquered these Barbarians in just a couple of months.
The Mainland officers praised the local Sartahazu as an out-standing Sarerimha, and noted not only his bravery, but that of all colonial troops as well.
They promised, the Enki would soon hear of the glorious work of the Hinnunaki.
Showered with this much praise, the troops felt as though the Empire really understood them, and thus they spread the word back home.
Meanwhile in the Imperial Palace of Thumim, the Enki has heard of the successful conquest, and the surprisingly rich spoils from the Campaign.
He already sent Settlers from the Mainland into the new colonies.
After receiving word from his officers, he gave them gifts of praise for a job well done.
Later Hinnunaki nobles came to his court to discuss the latest conquest.
The Enki - father of the whole nation - assured them he would always take care his of and love his children, even if they would not return this love.
The Nobles, ashamed of themselves, pledged their allegiance to the Enki, in awe of his wisdom.
What are we going to do from here?
What are our new colonies called?
What is the name of our glorious Enki?
How will the people of Hinnunaki react to the decision of their nobility?
What will the Annunoans do, knowing that the Enki will back them no matter what?
This is perhaps one of the most important chapters, in our history.
>>161675
>tfw your suggestion pulled a springtime for hitler
We are going to Make the Empire Great Again.
Our new colonies shall be named, from south to north, Melakam, Daro, Ellu, Harappa, and Fort Durai - in honor of Durai, our great Hinnunaki Sarerimha.
Our glorious Enki's name shall be Parash.
The Hinnunaki people shall know pride in their hearts and riches in their coffers - if the nobles and generals share, that is. Don't want a peasant rebellion on our hands, now. Have you seen the way they live in Kariyadanagar? Dreadful. I'd toss them an ingot for a bath.
The Annunoans will likely send an emissary requesting gifts for some public works project or another. Maybe they'll get uppity and attack the Myceneans for ancestral revenge! Hot-blooded lot, those Annunoans.
Boy thread is going slow today.
Ahh its back

Quest Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Nnl0ycLvgU
Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkword creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.
They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.
You are Ryoji Shida. A transfer student and delinquent who ended up in the school by mistake, with no fighting ability, but you may have a stronger connection to the Darkworld than thought possible.
>Previously on Dark Gate Academy...
You discovered that Yamato is part-Darkworlder, and was using his powers to hide how he was keeping Alice captive.
This moment marks the dawn of an important day in the history of Dark Gate Academy. After the shocking revelation of the conditions Alice was being kept in, and the even more shocking revelation of Yamato's true nature, action had to be taken. Breaking Alice free from her chains, Class 2 rushed back to the dorms with the Darkworld girl in tow. After Satomi carefully tended to her wounds, Chihiro chose to hide Alice in her and Sayeka's dormroom. The rest of you knew it wouldn't be long before Yamato realised she was missing, and he would soon be bringing Class 3 to your door, in order to take her back... and something told you they weren't going to be afraid of using force.
Damn Yamato... for a brief moment, you had begun to believe, just a little, that perhaps he wasn't so bad as the rest of the maniacs in Class 3... as it turns out, he's even worse. Hell, you've begun to question if the rest of Class 3 are actually as monstrous as they appear... maybe they've been under Yamato's influence this whole time. You all prepared for the inevitable attack on the dorms come morning, as you readied any defences you might have. You have the numbers advantage, the entire class allied against a common enemy... but that numbers advantage never helped against them before. In terms of pure skill, they've got you all outclassed. The majority of your group will get curb-stomped moments into a straight up fight.
You drew up a list of who the class's tanks are... those who can do some actual real damage to a member of Class 3. That list consisted of Saki and Nariko's Angry state... and neither of them could really hold up to Yamato. Expanding to include those who could hold their own for a length of time, the list would also include Sayeka, Rei, Akira, Seishiro, Akio and Ken... possibly Chihiro too. The rest would be taken down in a matter of seconds, though Hiro's shields should be able to work against Yamato, and Akemi promised to spend the night building traps and exterior defences around the dorm.
With not much of a plan to go on, you decided to get some rest, as two members of class would keep lookout during the night in three hour shifts.
While you weren't part of the lookout shifts, you were still unable to get a proper night's sleep. You lay awake, restless and worried. By the time you managed to doze off, you were plagued with disturbing dreams. Dreams of the Darkworld, and a thick fog, and a pair of glowing eyes calling out to you...
As you wake up, you discover an unwelcome visitor in bed next to. A certain small light blonde-haired girl. Turns out the looks aren't all that run in Chihiro's family.
“Alice, what are you doing in my bed?”
Alice lets out a yawn, and rises up, the blankets falling off of her. Well, at least she's wearing clothes.
“I wanted to sleep here...” she explains. “Don't know why. Felt like the only place I could.”
Okay, so now people are being compelled to sleep in your bed. Later on, you should check to see if there's an ancient burial ground beneath you or something.
“Have they arrived yet?” Alice asks. “The Carpenter is coming, with the oysters in tow.”
“Yamato, you mean? He's not here yet.”
“He's going to eat us!” she replies, in a high-pitched voice that sounds way too cheerful for what she just said.
“Nobody's going to eat you,” Ken's voice calls out from the top bunk, before he drops down to the floor. It seems he's been awake for a while. “We're going to keep you safe, okay?”
Alice stares and smiles at Ken, before calmly shaking her head. “Nope! He's going to kill us.”
Ken frowns, disappointed in the pessimism from the girl. “Let's keep a hopeful attitude, okay? As long as we all stick together, they can't take us down. They're bad people, and the bad guys never win.”
“I've seen lots of bad guys win!” Alice replies, still smiling. “The good guys always die in my experience!”
Ken hesitates, unsure of what to say. “Just trust us, okay?”
Alice shakes her head again. “The bad guy asked me to trust him. Didn't turn out well.”
Ken rubs his forehead, clearly having a hard time with the conversation. “I'm going to go out the the others.”
“I'll join you when I'm ready,” you reply, lifting yourself up and sitting on the edge of your bed.
You look over to Alice, who is sitting cross-legged on your bed, humming to herself. She's still a few eggs short of a full basket, but there's so many question you still have to ask. But where to start?

Derrick makes a swipe at your midsection, forcing you to jump back. But that's all the ground he gains, as you put your weight onto your front foot and lunge at him.
About an hour ago, Rhea helped you split one of the practice swords down the middle. The result was a sword that was much lighter, and much better suited to your fighting style. You figured that if you were going to be using a Mageblade, which has no weight, then it would be smarter to train with a lighter weapon.
The difference shows.
Derrick swipes your lunge to the side and pulls back for an overhand slash. He does this a lot, you can sometimes see it coming, but he always does it when you're not in a position to attack. So you step to the side...
The right side. Last time you stepped to the left and that didn't end well, so this time you'll try it the other way.
Like he did last time, Derrick swings his sword back up at you from the ground. You put your own sword out to deflect it, but he shifts his footing and changes his angle.
You step back to try and get out of the way, but Derrick is aiming for your back foot... and he gets it. He hits it hard, knocking it out from under you and sending you to the ground.
"Ow" You say.
"Sorry... I might've put a little too much into that" Derrick says as he offers you his hand. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, probably" You say, as you accept his hand and get back to your feet.
On your feet, you give your leg a test. It hurts, but it shouldn't slow you down.
Looking around, you see that the sun has gone down. The courtyard is now lit by a series of lamps which look like they're powered by Locke's generator.
"You good to keep going?" He asks.
>Yeah, one more round
>Let's call it a night
>Other
Ooc: What? How do I do this?
