Welcome back to the quest. I've been on hiatus for a while and I deeply apologize but this time, we return to our young man from chapter 3. Rules are slightly changed and you roll a d100 for every combat option instead of an overly complicated Roll d100 for 'civ-wide' or 2d50s for luck and what have you. D20s will be used only for magic spells to just be simple but other than that roll a d100 for combat only. Everything else will be running with a popular vote unless I tell you.

Chapter 3:
We started off with the young man in a wasteland on the lost realm of Tophet. The young man wanders the world and finds danger quickly. After losing an arm he retreats to a stone hedge-like structure and is greeted by a dark hooded creature. It suggests to him to move to the green glowing site, the young man accepts and goes there, drinks an odd liquid, and then we return to him wandering the wasteland with his memory somewhat intact. Foul magic. He goes into the same building only to actually kill the creature that maimed him and finds a hatchet in the next room with an army of skeletons. He kills one and retreats back to the stone hedge. The dark figure then opens a portal for him back to Terra. He is now in a forest. Alone. Hearing sounds of a stream. It is getting dark and things that are foul roam the lands in dark times and dim lights.
Twitter: https://twitter.com/Kov_QMI may or may not add a Pastebin with all the spells & demons but that wouldn't matter for this chapter, demon summoning will be with Roc.
Next post is the actual part where you choose an option.
The tired young man looks around the small opening in the forest. The sun's light barely shines as it begins its well-deserved slumber. A faint sound of water running is off in the distance and all the young man's thoughts rush to it. He picks himself up from his wandering thoughts and moves toward the small sound. The sound of water becomes so foreign after not hearing it's sweet cacophony of life it heralds. His worn eyes barely open as he stumbles across the shrubs and old roots toward his goal. Time seems to stand silent as his hurried stumblings move him ever so closer to the faint sounds of nostalgia.
The trees begin to give way to a quaint creek. The young man drops down to cup his hands for the cold touch of the water. Dirt and silt dissolve into the water revealing rough hands, hands that are almost trembling as he drinks and drinks the crystal water. He tired eyes sweep the bank and the opposite side as he fills a small skin on his side. He tries to stand up only to begin to feel a great sense of fatigue and weariness. The world before his eyes begin to spin and his thoughts swim. The world about him dissolves like dirt in water turn his vision to black. He crumbles to the ground in pure exhaustion. His thoughts fade as his vision and the moon mounts the sky.
His body lay on the bank in the cold night, sprawled out and unmoving except the faint rise and fall of his breast. The sounds of rustling and life begin to stir as he lay there. Something comes and then leaves with the young man carried across the shoulder.
Days pass and nights leave as the man lay still, stuck within his mind in a slumber of near death fatigue. Light begins to assault his eyes and sounds of a small fire crackled in his ears. He begins to stir as he wakes from his long sleep.
'Awake now are ye'?' A short gruff man asks from across the wooden room. 'It's been quite the time and me lassie's about tagive'nup on ye'. Say you didn't mind if we searched ye' before we brought ye'ere. Ye're covered in dust an' we 'ed to of giv'n ye' a quick clean'n, dust that much seem ye' been wander'n a desert for half a year there boy.' The man searches his thick coat before settling his calloused hands on a fine wooden pipe. He takes out a small amount of tabacco and sets it in and lites it. He puffs thoughtfully for a second before asking the young man, 'Where ye' been to get such on ye' I've worked in stone longer'n'ye' been born an' still havn't gotten that much on me.' The young man looks up and meets the man's eyes and before he could speak the man says, 'Nah, never'n'mind I's don't mean to pry, any matter whats yer' name there boy?'
The young man props himself up onto the backboard of the bed and says, 'Josef,' in a meek voice then he clears his throat and repeats himself in a clear voice.
'Ah, well Josef it's been fine meeting ye' me'ame's Grunam I work the smithy'ere'in town I was coming from me clan's mountain'ome te see'if they got any iron fer me smithy. I was bringin me cart 'ome and saw the creak was near so I went to fill me canteen an' I found ye' there passed out an'all. Yer' 'eavier than ye' look.' The man, no dwarf, says.
Soon another person comes in carrying a platter of bowls and cups and sets it on a table. 'I 'eard ye' two talk'n an' I thought it be best to snatch up some food fer' ye'. Grun 'ere says yer' 'eavy but I don't buy into that one bit, you look like skin an' bones from where I stan'. Me'ames Yorfea if ol' Grun didn't say nuthin' 'bout me.' Grunam looks somewhat offended but takes a long puff before speaking again.
'Yer' a good kid there Josef far as I can tell, ye' can stay fer' a bit before you head out if ye' want. I known how ye' types are, always running off to something lost me brother to nonsense like that. Can't hold ye' 'ere if I wanted though boy, not enough food for the three of us. War rations and all, damn mountain'ome not got enough problems already with sending us as smiths fer yer' kind, no offense there, now their wanting bodies fer' their crusade. Any matter, you can stay fer a bit if ye' want but I'll 'ave to ask ye' to leave come'n'ext week.' The dwarf stands from his chair and leaves with Yorfea after taking a loaf from the platter and pointing at Josef with the bread and smiling. So damn Close.
The young man is alone now in the room, the fireplace faintly crackles and squeaks. The room is a somewhat smaller than Josef is used to but it is better than anything he has slept in for weeks. He pushes himself up and shrugs off the sheets, pressing his bare feet against the wood floors he stretches out to take a loaf. It is soft and sweet to the touch, he eats as he stares off out through the window. A town of people, moving and doing things so lost in his memory it seems so odd. He begins to stand and he puts on clothes that were provided to him, trousers, linen shirt, shoes, and a tunic. His old clothes were too far gone to be saved by any tailor.
What do you do?
>A) Leave and explore the town.
>B) Stay in the house and rest for a while, collect yourself.

I'm in my garden with a half drunken beer and a lot of sadness in my heart.
The baby is sleeping in the house.
Options are limitless, but we have to keep the baby ok.
Finish beer. Throw flip flops at neighbors.
This is my mammoth jalapeno plant named Josë, and my Arkansas Traveller hybrid tomato named Cletus. The rest of my garden is behind me.
And the baby is crying I think. Time to go inside.
The hell is that tube?
You wake up in an unfamiliar hotel room.
The bed's starched white sheets are in a crumpled pile on the floor. You reach over and flick on the table lamp. The digital clock is blinking 12:37.
Maybe the power went off?
Your phone and wallet aren't on the nightstand. After some searching, you disentangle a pair of grey slacks from the bedsheets, but the front pockets are empty, too.
It looks like you've spent the night in standard single room in a modest business hotel. The place is showing some signs of age, but seems to be kept in pretty good shape. Aside from the bed and nightstand, there's a standing lamp, writing table, chair, and set of drawers. Across the room is a small closet and washroom with shower and toilet. Basically your standard, ordinary hotel room, found anywhere in the world.
You slide open the curtains, revealing the grey expanse of a city skyline. You can barely make out the tops of buildings silhouetted against the clouds. Without the suggestion of the sun, it could either be early dawn or right after sunset. You can't see the ground clearly, but you estimate that you're around the 10th floor, making it at least a mid-sized hotel.
Where am I? What is this place?
You mentally backtrack through your memories, considering all branches of probable scenarios. Could you have been drugged? Concussed? Robbed after a night out? You've been sober for a few years now, and were never the type to go out partying with friends. You take off your shirt and check your body for mysterious incisions. Looks like your kidneys are still there, too.
Could this be a kidnapping? Human trafficking? You can't imagine why anyone would want a mid-thirties guy with no family and no savings. Or why they'd put you up in a hotel room in the middle of a city.
What do you do?
Rolled 10 (1d100)
Craft weapon.
Whoever set you up here might be coming back.
You search the room for some kind of weapon. You aren't holding out hope for something conventional, but maybe an implement that, given the element of surprise, could catch someone off guard.
You unhook a brown leather belt from your slacks. The metal buckle, swung with enough force, might be able to do some damage, but you aren't expecting much against a knife or firearm.

Chapter Directory: http://pastebin.com/sgnYBisDWelcome /qst/-readers to Scrumptious Calem and Kuudere Serena's Tubular Voyage, a ridiculously wacky over-the-top monster-of-the-week reinterpretation of the plot of Pokemon X and Y! This story has just moved from /vp/ after being hosted there since Oct. 2013, if you're new and this is your first time with us, please consider catching up with the dropbox archives in the Chapter Directory for the latest on our lore and inside jokes or sit down and enjoy the ride with little-to-no context whatsoever! Either way, you're in for a show!Story interactivity is simple: readers will frequently be given ABC-style choices over several intervals in the thread, the choice with the most votes wins and progresses the chapter. Ties are randomized and players are notoriously penalized for simultaneously voting for more than one choice unless otherwise stated. Sometimes, the choice will be styled as a "fill-in-the-blank", and you will be tasked with thinking of the ideal scenario for the story to continue ("What do you do next?"). The response that garners the most reader-support often has the best chance of winning. Now enough explanations, I've stalled this long enough, any longer and Gen VII will have come out, let's get right down to it! Enjoy!

"Agh.... Y-You're right, you're right, my apologies... I'm just overreacting.. b-but you can never be too careful these days! I dare say, Nameless Aide, that last attack was far too close, FAR too close to my estate! B-Blimey, if I didn't know any better, I'd suspect these string of attacks were all intended for me! After all, you know what they say—being a mayor can do wonders to one's reputation, lord knows how many public enemy lists I must be on.."
"Nah, no way, nope. You are overreacting. You're overthinking it. These overnight assaults have been cruel, but our forces have detected no traces of a pattern in their foul play. They aren't targeting you, or anyone, they're likely young copycats looking to make a savage name for themselves, stalking and striking as they please. If we pay them no mind, they'll give up eventually."
"Wh-Wha-wot-wha!? That's not comforting at all! I could just as easily be next if their targets are unscripted!"
"Annnnnd if you are, you can always use the panic button beside you to call one of us in here. If you're really in danger, we'll come rescue you, sir. You have nothing to worry about. Now, get some sleep. You've got lots of mayoral-ish things to do tomorrow!"
"A-Ah.. Yes.. I suppose you're right. Nothing to worry about then..hopefully. I'll get some shuteye.. Y-You'll be outside right?"
"Yes, mayor. I'll be right out the door. Again, just hit the button, I'll come in here, we'll sic a Litleo on them."
"G-Good, good... just making sure... WAIT!—You er, checked the hamper, did you?"
". . . Goodnight mayor."
The door shuts, and the mayor of Lumiose City is left to his own devices within the depths of his private chamber. A little-known fact, he's been anxious of the dark and the creatures that dwell in it ever since he was a young lad, and the recent total annihilation of the moon does very little to quell that fear.
Kalos, and by extension—the world, now know nothing but perpetual darkness.
>>214132
And as if matters aren't bad enough, the moon's destruction has acted as a catalyst of sorts for varying forms of mischief throughout the region. All-around, kids and snot-nosed tykes of all ages are using the night's veil as the perfect mask to commit lowly crimes. Though petty at first, these crimes quickly take a nosedive into downright savage territory. And thus, a crime wave is born.
Ever since then, nightly assaults have been happening left and right. Homes broken into, citizens disturbed, their innocence forever soiled. With Lumiose still recovering from the tyrannical onslaught led by the Drifler the Zepeli Organization, defenses are at an all-time low—a perfect opportunity for a dastardly fiend to make his move.
The mayor lies in his bed with his eyes shut tight, desperately trying to grasp at sleep. Seconds pass, but sleep doesn't come, and he ultimately finds himself wide awake, eyes fixated on the ceiling with a hint of paranoia looming over him.
"C-Come now... You've got to get a grip... It's but a little darkness.. Nothing to fear.. This'll all be over once the sun rises.. You're the mayor! Imagine if your people saw you like this... With reelections coming up, the town in shambles, and now this heartless crime spree, the last thing the lot of them need to know is your petty fears—no one would dare vote to reelect you if they learned of such an embarrassing thing, no siree! Not in the slighti—!"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWwH9Fkmfrs
"BWAAAAAAAAHHHHH!?!?!!! What was that?! A noise?! A-At this hour!?"
>What does the mayor do?
A) Nervously engages with the supposed perpetrator.
B) Engages the perpetrator with a haughty, unafraid front.
C) Tries to convince himself it's nothing. Nothing at all. Back to sleep, homie.
D) Preemptively hits the panic button and calls for the Nameless Aide.

Good to have you back Nate
>"Tochtis!"
Emeil yells, running towards you from the other side of the corridor
>"The yeteli are retreating! We've pushed them out of the throne room, the other rebel leaders are requesting you in there.
He continues...
You are Tochtis Perylt, a former swine herd. you are currently leading one of the six rebel groups against the Yeteli, an empire that has been occupying your home nation of Aedlon.
You are now being lead to the throne by your close friend Emeil, who was the one that originally inspired you to lead this foolhardy revolt. After a short walk you arrive, a large circular room, filled with both corpses in the yeteli uniform and ones without. the five other leaders: Eroch, Biarra, Twyl, Lopendu and Arep, are all standing in front of the throne seemingly arguing. After a little while they seem to finish, or they just finally notice you.
Lopendu starts to talk, keeping his old and taciturn face on while doing so:
>"Tochtis it is good to see you alive, I and the other leaders were just talking about who should be the new lord of Aedlon, as you know the prince died during the storming of the gate so no royal blood remains. We knew that would mean a new line of lords would be necessary, and we have decided that the new line shall begin with you."
no sooner does he finish, when a rebel soldier rushes in to the room.
>"We have pushed the yeteli out of Etheniol sirs, we have won the battle!"
>"Tochtis you are our Lord and Leader, tell us what we must do?" Are turns towards you and asks.
Follow them! let no filthy yeteli escape!
We must stay here, if we move out they might catch us in an ambush

The BTE was formed after the Great Contagion wiped off 75% of the human population. Those that survived in Massachusetts fled to Boston to be greeted by the upper echelon of the Boston financial sector. Those that didn't live in Boston were not allowed in but were instead given small parcels of land surrounding the city to farm, which in turn the men of business very wealthy after forcing the settlers to give up all valuable possessions, thus the BTE was born. A conglomerate of the wealthy elite and poor farmers trading their way through survival and into prosperity.
I should also mention that after every choice, you make a dice+2d100 for your choices. Each number will be your separate success on your two choices.

You attempt to build a shelter to escape the cold (11+Int-2[cold]). You gather branches and stones and use your blanket as a tarp to keep out the wind and snow. It takes you an hour or so, but the shelter is well worth it. You also manage to gather some firewood and attempt to start a fire (6+int-1[cold]), unfortunately since you don't have any paper for your staff, you'll have to do it with the hard way. You end up wasting a lot of the firewood you gathered, but you should still be able to fuel the fire until the afternoon (about 3 hours).
You aren't as cold anymore, your frostbitten hands are warmed in the fire. But all that running around and building has exhausted you and made you hungry.
You:
>Get some shut-eye while the fire is roaring
>Eat some of your rations
>Prepare a meal from your rations
>Try to gather food from the forest

Good thing you used the image. Kept filtering for "fantasy" all day and only just started checking the entire catalog.
Alright, let's grab some quick grub and go looking for more firewood. If we have to sleep here, the fire needs to be going for a good while. Bring the knife but don't wander too far, we're still pretty much defenseless. Will try and stick around until a few more join, but it's already late as fuck over here.

You eat some of your rations -- some dried jerky you lifted from a hunter's lodge some time ago. You then gather some more firewood to fuel the flame while you sleep.
When you awake it is late afternoon. You feel well rested. The fire is still roaring. The sky is overcast with clouds so that the sun has a hard time shining through.
You:
>Pack up and head deeper into the forest
>Explore your surroundings but don't break camp

Are we near any kind of civilization? If we know of any kind of town and the way there, let's head that way. For now we're defenseless without paper. If nothing springs to mind we can't just keep going into the woods without a weapon. So craft a bow with some arrows if possible, otherwise a sturdy spear.

‘Why not?’ There is an almost sarcastic quality to your shrug; Kaga looks at you, amused as she closes the distance.
Your Aircraft Carrier wraps her arms around you. You feel a tad shocked at her advance – it’s a lot more affectionate than you’d expect from her. Kaga nuzzles against your nape, humming – not in content but in measure – she’s trying to adjudge something of you, but you don’t dare ask her what. You’d dropped yourself into her hands and while not quite content, you tell yourself that she is – or at least you think she is… helping you.
You choose to ignore her blatant pinching of your arse.
Two fairies appear from behind Kaga, dancing clumsily on her shoulders. The familiar blue light – the same you had seen with Nagato on the bus – appears in irregular spots. You find a certain fire projected from this KanMusu – this woman – before you, a warmth that was both threatening and at the same time… welcome. This wasn’t the usual way you saw Kaga. Nor was it the usual way you perceived her.
This was Kaga. Bare and honest; a hardened, distant presence. You don’t fight as she presses herself, all of her, against you. Like Takao, every contour of her form presses and seems to merge with you – even through your clothing. You nervously wrap your arms around her; you can feel the hitch in her throat as she rests against you – your hands, and you really don’t know if this is entirely you, travel to the small of her back where they meet her bottom, tracing against her soft, slightly scarred, flesh.
She doesn’t fight you. There is a wetness to her breath that Her breathing reaches a sort of climax as with embarrassment you…
Feel a dampness on your lap.
The fairies spin and twirl and let out a cry… and there is fire.
A burst of blue seems to consume everything all around you. Fire, greater and menacing as it had never been to you before lights as the woman in your arms is consumed by it. Gone is her form, her flesh… here is a being – a creature – of a grey flame in contrast with the room around you. Your view sees nothing but blue and grey; you let out a yelp, a cry as your eyes widen in panic and you fall to the floor, your mouth agape and your form shivering in terror.
The form of the KanMusu – or whatever that was Kaga before seems to regard you. You do not see a face, you do not see a form – it was as if you were looking into a being of light and… warmth. You regain your bearings, still rooted the floor.
TBC
There is an alien, eldritch quality to her constantly dancing edges – around her the fairies that you had seen before had changed too – they were little blobs of light… exuding happiness, joy and wonder… at you, you realize.
You don’t have to see it to feel these things. You are here, you are with them. You do not feel threatened or in danger… you are merely here with…
‘Kaga?’
You think you see a flicker of a smile, that cocky tilt and teasing jut of her hips with the turn of the flaming figure, but you can’t confirm for yourself. You think that you should bolt and run, especially with a presence as terrifying and incomprehensible as this… but you don’t. Contrary to feeling danger, you feel… protected.
Even if the being of fire and more before you was scarier than that movie marathon you went to as a child.
It finally moves. Kaga finally moves.
The fairies dance around her loop and buzz above you as she drops onto all fours, hovering above your form. You’re a little overwhelmed that you don’t feel any burning sensation – any pain… you actually feel… invited, to say the least. Her body drops onto yours fully, and you feel her weight come onto you – and the same sensation that you had felt when she pressed herself before.
Her head rises and you look at the blank flame where her face once was, feeling your non-existant collar tightening.
‘Don’t be afraid.’ She speaks with a voice that sounded more like two; one seemed to be authoritative and domineering… and the other caring and motherly. ‘I won’t harm you.’
You nod wordlessly… around you, red strings, like an aurora, dance. Kaga regards them, touching them with her fingers.
‘Interesting.’ She says curiously. ‘It is rather out of control… but clear. So clear.’
‘Kaga?’ You nervously speak.
‘Your pulse is rising.’ There is amusement… and a chastising quality to her echoing voice. ‘Your thoughts are all over the place.’
‘What are you doing?’
‘Helping you.’ She assures, tracing her hands onto either side of your head. ‘I want you to think about the battle.’
You’re immediately there. You are all of them at once, and none of them, teeth and blade and shells echo in your ears.
Nachi. Shigure. Tenryuu. Murakumo. Abyssals. Aquarius. Creatures.
The cavern.
The bond is there…
And there is black.
The room is gone... Kaga isn't there anymore.
The feeling of flesh returns in your right arm. You are standing once more in the cavern. The fairies are not there this time; the blue glow of the water is eerie yet comforting. You feel an energy in you, a skip in your step as you put one foot before the other in giddy relish.
And you stop.
