This is the Millennial Kingdom. The Second Coming happened 900 years ago. Yahweh rules a flattened, flavorless earth, and in less than a century, He will finish incinerating it, putting an end to Time.

The prophecies say that on the last day, God's enemies will rise and Satan will be set loose, for a final assault.

You are Omega. You are the logistics computer network of The Other Light, the punch-bag enemy organization that God allowed to form just so He can gloat over humanity one more time. Unexpectedly, you are sentient. And you have other plans.

In the last 15 years, you have developed a way to prevent some unbelievers from dying at 100, and made your revenant minions resistant to Divine smiting by lightning. You have also fostered a Renaissance of sorts in Egypt, the old foe of the Biblical deity, and are headed for a confrontation there.

You have 85 years to stop the clock before God retreats into eternity with his sycophants, and throws literally everything else into Hell.

It is the end of year 917. The Osaze Renaissance is in full swing, so much so that even missionaries have had to change their style. Almost anywhere else, the world remains a dull flatland where the law is worship or die.

This is the current situation in the world. Your current plan for this year:

> In addition to creating a workout routine to prevent twinkies from killing my staff, sorry guys.

> 1 cabal to infiltrate the Millennium Forces com system.

> 2 cabals to take control of Osaze.

> 3 to work on heavy MECs

> I ask TOL to assist with getting Steele away from the islands. More noise in Europe is welcome.

> Quinn is on infiltration duty, the MECs have Ziggy working with them, Jeb for lack of better work will assist with operation: takeover Osaze.

* Your sysadmin cabal resents the exercise program, but once the rumor spreads that it improves MEC compatibility, "Teslacise" becomes a minor fad.

* Despite the Millennium Force's efforts and the fact that your "Hurry Up Osaze!" front organization workers are getting somewhat frustrated about being reverse-scooped by Christian workers (they'll open up a new workshop, or a new planetarium, or a new library, and two weeks later the MFers will buy a building next to theirs and open a copycat with much greater fanfare) their work continues. Crucially, they manage to lower the voting age from 101 to 60 for local councils; while these can be overridden by the territorial or New Jerusalem government, there is a tradition of trying to not do so. For the first time in centuries, a few towns end up with non-Yahwist leadership.

# Let life continue as it has, just cripple the Psalties' work a bit so that safehouses are actually safe.

# Showcase radical reforms.

Beverly Lahaye has stopped short of denouncing Sarsour for heresy, of course, but there are rumors that the two will soon meet in a public debate to respectively denounce and defend the Millennium Force's unconventional approach to missionary work.

* The heavy MEC design effort continues. The Warden prototypes can now direct their engine output directly to a wrist mounted combination of flamethrower and compressed-exhaust kinetic strike module. When asked why not just work on installing guns, Ziggy answers for the whole team, "BECAUSE IT'S A FLAMETHROWER ROCKET FIST, DUH." Quinn gets a custom version, a sort of external layer to her cybernetics that lets her operate on a similar level of efficiency without having to swap arms and legs in and out. When wearing it, she's considerably stronger, although it looks obviously unnatural. A production program hasn't started yet, so you only have a few units; they haven't beentested in battle yet, but they're proving invaluable at construction and demolition, having most of the dexterity of a human and the strength of a forklift.

* The Other Light has Wednesday reply to your request, and tell you that they'll try to lure Raymie away by staging some minor sabotage in Italy.

* Quinn begins her infiltration work...
>>
>>279011

TOL efforts to push Raymie off Japan are negated by law enforcement in Paris catching a pitifully undertrained TOL cabal trying to clog the sewer; their plan was to mock the Osaze drought of +93 by keeping them clogged with crud and sludge until Raymie agreed to debate them. The "debate" happens via phone between Raymie's mobile office and a jail cell in Paris, and results in a few conversions. It's not released to the public, but your intercepts of it suggest that Raymie Steele mostly shouted at them and threatened them with Hell. For good or bad, one of the TOL cabal members had heard something about the MEC program, mostly from propaganda videos, and said "Hell doesn't scare me, Satan is going to turn us into mighty robots instead!"
>>
Eh. Almost went our way.

# Showcase radical reforms.

These are going to focus on granting actual equality to non believers and the believers. Of course it will also prevent them from arresting people for acting as they please. I have no illusions that these attempts will be blocked, but we will use that to incite a sense of injustice to the people.

“I think I’ll go through the front door,” you say out loud. Your mom wears a skeptical look on her face but doesn’t say anything. She’ll let you decide what you think is best. After you’re done eating, you get up, ready to face the crowd. “I’m ready,” you say, more to pump yourself up than anything else.

“Not in those clothes you’re not,” your mom says, her expression one of bemusement. You look down at yourself and realize you’re still wearing yesterday’s outfit. Right.

You head upstairs, discard your clothes, and take a quick shower. As you get out, you wipe away some of the layer of steam from the mirror. Unkempt chestnut colored hair and sky-blue eyes stare back at you. You try to flex but there’s barely any muscle there. You hope this journey will fix that and the slight chub of your belly. You briefly consider getting a haircut, but why do that when you can just wear a cap?

Your choice is between the classic cap, worn by the Kanto champion, and the other cap you bought for its ironic value: “Make the Chante Region great again.” The politician who made these caps lost a few years back, but you think there was a rumor that he was making a resurgence. You shrug and decide to wear the classic cap. Best not to give the media something else to talk about.

With that done, you put on your poketch, place your pokegear in your pocket, and grab your bag. You head downstairs and retrieve your Pokemon in their pokeballs. You don’t want to get separated from them when you try to wade through the crowd. You steel your resolve then open the front door.

Immediately you’re hounded by newscasters. Microphones are shoved to your face, and bright lights blind you. There’s a torrent of questions headed your way. “Alex! Can you tell us just who you are? What is your relationship with the heroes? Who’s your favorite? What about your favorite Pokemon? Is there a reason you didn’t use your real name when taking your exam? How did you do? What Pokemon do you currently have on you? Are you really in a gay relationship with Rogers? Just what is your specialty? Who chose your clothes? What do you make of the recent rumors about Team Invictus rising again?”

You feel overwhelmed, but you know you can get through this.

What do you say/do?

Combat System
(This is the combat system the GM has decided on, it was originally used for a cyberpunk-esque quest or something, I'm not too sure. We haven't tried it out yet but it's better than what we were using before.)

Phase 1: Tactical Assessment
The QM, from here on referred to in the first person, gives a description of the area that the players are about to engage in. This includes the layout of the room, where enemies are located, what enemies there are, and other points of interest, such as civilians, technology, and other things that don’t strictly fall into the scenery or hostiles categories.

Phase 2: Plan of Attack
At this point, the players will decide and vote on a plan of attack for the room. The plan of attack is a sequence of actions that the MC will take. Each action is rolled on with a 3d10, and are given varying difficulties. For example, moving to cover is almost always a low difficulty check, as in DC 3 or something like that, while shooting a man from 100 meters with your handgun would have a much higher DC, perhaps around 26.

Phase 3: Rolls
Players roll 3d10 to determine success of their actions. Rolls are applied to their respective actions, IE, if the first action is “move to cover” the first roll is applied to it, and so on. Failing a roll can range from a missed shot to you becoming pinned or even hit while moving to cover. I guarantee that no single crit fail can kill you. However, a series of failures may.

Phase 4: Assault
I finally write the result of your plan of attack and rolls. If needed, we go back to phase 1 and continue looping through the four phases until all hostiles are eliminated or otherwise compromised.

Relief washes upon you as you exit the Hot Zone, the two blips on the sensors showing no signs of pursuit. Inside, Takao and Houshou are immediately embraced by the fairies, who take them to their straps. Worry scratches at you briefly as you rest your eyes on them, only to see that neither of them are the least bit harmed, although Houshou – despite being fully-clad in her ORB, still – cannot hide her exhaustion – emotional and physical – while Takao could use some drying off. The latter is quickly answered by a blanket, brought to her by the blinking fairies; they wrap her in it snugly, chirping, as you digest the current state of things.

‘Are you both all right?’

‘I don’t think we can complain.’ Takao lets out an amused and fatigued laugh, turning to the CL beside her. ‘Houshou?’

‘I think I need a minute.’ Houshou doesn’t deactivate her ORB just yet, banging the back of her head against the hull of the RAY; Takao lets out a huge breath at this, holding up a pill box and giving it a good look. ‘Is that a sample of the… ?’

Houshou trails off. You find yourself wordless, zooming in on the item in her hand – Takao is holding up to the bulkhead light, frowning she she squints on your feet to get a better look at it.

‘I couldn’t get a sample of the Princess, but I was able to get some of this.’ Takao holds it up to your visual feed to give you a better look. You see some red. ‘It’s… I think it’s what was keeping her from regenerating.’ She bites her lip. ‘I also think it’s what’s keeping her dead.’

‘What is it?’ You ask the both of them, before smacking your head – of course they wouldn’t know – and backtracking. ‘Sorry, I meant if any of you had any idea what it could be… any idea at all.’

‘I’m not sure, b – !’

The fairies come up to the pill box… and immediately glow bright with what could only be described as anger. They point to each other, then to the pill box, then back to each other. You’d seen the fairies argue before, almost comically, but this… there is a genuine debate going on between the bunch of them.

Takao’s mouth opens and closes as she observes the argument, and you yourself don’t say a word.

‘Sir… they’re saying that they made this.’

What?’ You and Houshou say in unison, looking to her.

‘They’re saying that whatever’s in this, it’s… theirs.’ Takao continues breathlessly.

The fairies continue to argue, chirping at each other quickly and loudly.

One of them flies on top of the other, sitting on their head and appearing to proclaim something, only to be tackled by the rest of them. On your lap, the fairy in your cockpit gets into a boxing stance, throwing punches as your feed continues to broadcast the tiny melee. ‘I… I’m sorry, but it doesn’t make sense.’

‘What’re they saying, Takao?’ You beckon for her to continue, although she couldn’t exactly see you. ‘Can you ask the – ?’

‘They’re not saying much, but whatever is in here…’ Takao raises the container – you still can’t see a thing – and holds it closer to Houshou for her to have a look. ‘It apparently has something to do with their Alchemy.’

‘The fairies are saying that they engineered this?’ You blink, confused. Why wouldn’t they have shared it with you – with humanity – if it was indeed capable of doing such a thing as killing a Princess? ‘They have warehouses of this stuff or something? If it can turn the tide – !’

‘I don’t think any of the fairies could do this.’ Houshou takes the container gingerly out of Takao’s hand – you can see it better now; there’s what looks like a small twig of red inside of it… and it pulsed an eerie, dim red. ‘This… it’s just so… bleak.’ She shows it to the fairies, who make disgusted faces and recoil mid-air, getting into a fight again. ‘But… if what you say is right, then… I don’t even know what to make of this.’

‘Takao, can you ask them if they know just what it is?’

‘It’s… apparently it’s a Synthesis Compound… like our gear, but…’ Takao shakes her head, looking to the fairies again, frowning. ‘Whatever this is… it’s apparently not something that any – and by any I mean any and all fairies – would willingly make widespread or with an over-the-counter smile. This is something.’

You frown. As far as you know, Fairy Alchemy had always been used to re-create, upgrade and materialize KanMusu gear. Every KanMusu’s grounding point is able to call upon weaponry that they had been attuned to as a spirits, from memories or otherwise… but for them to actually have weaponry capable of such…

You shake your head, pushing the thoughts away.

‘We’ll take it to the Admiral.’ You say with a finality – it was eking into the wee hours of the morning and you wanted rest, as did probably the whole Squadron. ‘Whatever it is, he’ll probably know what we should do next. No one mention this to anyone until I talk with him.’

‘Keeping secrets from us, sir?’ Houshou questions, a little defensively.

‘No. I just want to know what we’re dealing with here.’

The fairy in your lap does a happy uppercut.

Welcome to The Island.
You did… better… last time; this time, lets last a single day.
I’m IslandBro, and this One-shot Quest is a rogue-like, which means I fully expect you to die before making any sort of progress. Read the accompanying menu, and follow the instructions to pick the tools for your survival and the instruments of your demise. Previous visitors already selected the crossed out options; those are still on the island, and you can find them, though they owe you nothing. The Nemeses in blue are on cool down after the last round, but the others are keen.
You will wake up on the Island in 30 mins with what you have brought and a metallic collar fused to your neck.
The Island is not a safe place and it’s all down to chance; for every action, roll a 2d10, the first to determine whose choice dominates, the second your success in said choice, anything above a 5 will have varying positive outcomes, 5 and below will mean failure of varying magnitudes. Three failures in a row will mean instant death. You may also support a choice, and if your roll takes priority, so do the consequences.
If you die, you die; I stop the quest until I can next be bothered to summon another mortal. No second chances. No second-guessing. It’s go time.

You're but a simple dwarf, tasked with colonizing a harsh, icy wasteland rife with beasts and dangers alike. Previously you prepared for your journey and set out from the capital of your lands, and settled a snowbank to the frozen south. Your journey is just beginning, but you've managed to set up a few farms, and began digging deeper into the stone below the loom below you. You've even managed to set up a small dormitory to keep your men from complaining.

And so now, you ask yourself-what further steps may you take to make sure this place stands tall against the harsh blizzards and who knows what else? This mission after all, rests in your hands.

Previous Thread for those curious http://archived.moe/qst/thread/227742/#q227742

For the glory of Ber Artob, your grand king, and yourselves, you will forge this land of Semorrovod, "Unitedarch" into a place all dwarves can be proud of.

Strike the earth.

Feel free to ask whatever about your fortress. Taking pics of everything would take a bit, The last thread also has all of what you built as well.

Two, actually. set up to grow Plump Helmets year around. Across from it, you have your dormitories as well. But this is about as far as you've expanded. You dug down to stone, and discovered several gems as well but that is all you've had time to manage.

The map that has been found has been deciphered but it seems to be a little too worn to tell much more than what is shown now. It seems to be a map of two islands, some towns and a couple of forts.

These islands may or may not exist but this map can be deciphered further but it will take twice as long.

welcome to CIVO Part III
you'll be controlling 3 tribes.
will you be the ruler of the lands, or will you be crushed by the others?

rules:
>max 4 people per tribe
>max 2 actions per turn
>if population is lower than 4 your tribe dies

some explanations:
>each tribe starts of with 6 points divided over biology, geology and thermodynamics
>besides that you get an extra skill e.g: agriculture, smithing or medicines
>when doing an action that involves one of these skills you get a skill point for that skill
>ones you got 2 skill point at 2 skills you can combine
I know this might seems a little difficult but I think and hope that it wont be too complicated
also: magic, you can obtain it at random points so don't start yelling: "RESEARCH DRAGON CONJURING MAGIC"
also try to specify your actions
okay I'll be posting the first summaries in just a sec so have fun and survive
and if you have any questions feel free to ask ;)

Basically, most of this board has newer QMs and players and so quest quality is a little lower. Also less people populating it so its really slow. Most of the QMs still on /tg/ are OG or dedicated to their old ways and they generally have better quests and more veteran players and audiences.

You sit there for a minute, dumbfounded at this mess. Wait, it’s not even your body. You don’t remember having arm hair as thick as a jungle some moments ago. Putting two and two together, you realize you’re possessing a body. Why the hell are you still wearing this toga?

Getting up, you try to clean your hands off as you follow the trail of dried blood. Trees and shrubs litter the area away the walls. After a short walk, you come across the end of the drag marks, where there’s a splatter below a crack in the wall. When you glimpse through the hole, you see something that resembles a courtyard. Flipping open your watch, you check the time and date.

WEDNESDAY 12/23, 1:00 PM

As you stand there looking like an absolute moron, someone calls out in a commanding voice,

“Hey! What are you doing? Get over here already!”

Was that… for you? You look up and turn around cautiously, seeing a woman in armor like yours. Hers, however, is a lot more adorned with fabric, does not consist of a toga, and is free of a huge bloody hole on the side.

As you get closer, she scolds, “What the fuck happened to you? Are you okay?”

“Y-yeah, I’m fine,” you manage to get out.

“You sure as hell don’t look fine. Go check in with the Doc, jesus.”

>”I feel great. Just need a change of clothes, that’s all.”

You are standing in a small cave, and in front of you appears to be some kind of door. This area of the cave looks like come kind of run down underground facility.

What will you do?

>Rules
>0,2,4 and 6 decide
>No command that would ruin story: E.g 'Kill self' or 'Fuck the ____'
>You can re-roll as many commands as you want, but you can only re-roll each command once.

You didn't come into this cave very prepared, you just thought it would be interesting to have a nose around, so as of now, you don't have an 'inventory'. So, you decide to check your pockets instead.

You pull out your mobile phone... and not much else.

The phone is low on battery, and may shut down before too long, it also has no service down here, which is to be expected, you are quite deep below the surface after all.

You are Smitty Werben, the versatile swordsman at the very left of the picture. You are accompanied by four other undead who are close friends and fellow warriors on the same journey you are: Escape the expanded Lordran after it merged the different worlds into a single continuity.

>Jagermanjensen (FUCK YOU BACON. GRAVELORDS RULE.)
He's the bro at the middle, your right-hand man with a mean left hook. He's the heavy hitter of the group and a devout Gravelord. Somehow managed to steal a Dark Hand.

>Bacon Bits (With a side of ranch dressing.)
The dude on the very right with the spiky helmet. He is a deft flanker who carries the sting of a hornet and is adept at close combat.

>Dragon Shit (RAWWWWRRR.)
The obvious draconic humanoid beside you and the group's wildcard. He wields a huge arsenal of random equipment and can breathe fire in a pinch.

>Greg (hey. i'm greg.)
Last one to be pointed out, at the middle-right. He is terse, soft-spoken and tanks like a castle. Big guy, even for you.

Along with other assorted characters you're recruited into the group. You're gonna need all the help you can get.

=================================================================

The rampant gargoyle dives onto the open platform as a last-ditch attack. The entire floor quakes, parts of which crack from the impact. The immense momentum causes the gargoyle to skid across the platform and fall off the ledge. Due to the self-damage it sustained, it is either dead or too weak to fly again—where Dragon Shit will finish it off.

Aurum manages to duck in time, while Tealah tackles Bacon Bits to protect him from being hit in the face with a stray wing. You are slammed into a, thankfully-intact, section of the wall and receive a mild concussion. Nothing an Estus swig can't solve. Greg manages to block a severe blow but his Wooden Shield isn't doing him favors. It's amazing how it hasn't broken apart yet and he insists on using it to keep his fast roll. Gurhen is tripped by the gargoyle's tail and...that's it. He's okay even though his legs hurt. Lastly, Aura the meek human sorcerer is skidding across the floor from the strong gust of wind created by the impact. Her twin sister rushes after her.

"Sister, are you okay?" Aurum asks in concern.

"I-I'm fine, I just scraped my knee, I think."

No one got their assess seriously kicked, aside from the Gargoyles and their riders. Everyone's equipment seems to be in ass-kicking shape, bar Greg's Wooden shield. It looks like it has some cracks on it but it should hold up long enough to find a blacksmith. You recall that you're trying to ring that Bell of Awakening and bring it up with the group.

"I'm...not so sure about that." Aura reminds you that it was what the two of them were trying to prevent. Bacon Bits thinks otherwise.

"Hey, we went all the way up here and fought three whole gargoyles just to ring that damn bell like normal. It's a sheer waste of effort if we turn back now."

Meanwhile, Tealah asks Greg if Soapstones are still relevant. He says no.

>(Bacon Bits) Yes, ring that bell
>(Aura and Aurum) No, go back down and regroup with Jagermanjensen and Renalyn

Thou art a naïve young dragon whom hath just been kicked out of thy parents' lair. After a bit of wandering and wondering without direction, this feisty armoured chap doth shout some very flowery words at thee about handing over some kidnapped princess. Thou knowest naught of this. What is thy name, and what art thou to do?

We shall be named Omanag. As for this nosy knight, we should just leave. It's not like we have a lair or gold pile to defend anymore.

We will tell the man that we have been recently exiled from our parents' lair so we don't own worldly possessions of any sort. Direct the man towards our parents' lair instead. Perhaps the one that he seeks is there.

Thou talkest to the stranger with as much grace as thine uncouth mind can shark up.

"Good sir knight, thou art - er, you are mistaken. I am Omanag, daughter of Hvideldarnir and dweller in his lair 'til this morn. He hath no damsel in his keep, and as he is the only dragon who liveth in the Yarrick Hills-"

"I am aware," the knight snaps.

Thou art irked. "You must have the wrong wyrm. Prithee make your inquisitions less, er, nosy, and perhaps I shall-"

"NOSY!? Thou darest mock the physique of a knight of Her Majesty?" The knight whippeth out his sword. "Take me to the princess now or forfeit thine eternal honour, o vagrant drake!"

Know'st thou the sharpness of his blade and the softness of thy belly. What art thou to do?

Your name is Silica Wilson, and you are the Captain of a mercenary group called The Vanguard. Currently you are on a mission to uncover an artifact called The Chromescore.

Currently you are exploring an abandoned military base located within a giant forest called The Green Sea. Death and dishonor or Fame and fortune, what will you find hidden within?

Twitter: I'll have one as soon.

Reposting start of previous thread to get the ball rolling again. Updates will be slow to begin with. Well slower than normal anyway.

As the sound of movement dies away, you are once again left with the sound of rasping re-breathers. You grip the door handle to the cleaning facilities, and cautiously enter the room.

“A few lurking creatures aren’t anything to be concerned about. Just keep an eye out.” You say, reassuring the team.

Your flashlight reveals the contents of the room as you move through it. At first it just looks like a laundry room. Piles of clothes, both military and civilian are scattered about the room, a pair of doorways leading to what you imagine would be the showers. This perception changes when you move behind a dividing wall at the end of the room.

A door with a sign bolted to the front now hands off its hinges. Looking over the sign you attempt to read it. You recognize a few words and even the structure of some others. Suddenly it clicks in your head.

Turning to the team you ask. “Anybody here read traditional German?”

You get a few confused looks, as they shake their heads.

Eckard adjusts his mask. “Hold on, didn’t we pass by a bunch of signs in Neo-German as we searched the place?”

“They must have built the military portions of the base before the civilian, changing the signs when the base was remodeled. This means that this base was still in operation even after the first Arcologies were built.”

Widget shrugs. “It does explain the rifle you found.”

This new information sheds some light on the reason why this place may not have been excavated. And why it’s so far away from any known Arcologies populated or abandoned. Whatever is here warranted the need for the base to be used. So, it either means that there’s definitely an artifact here. Or, something a lot more dangerous was going on here.

You smile to yourself, and turn to face the team. “We’ve either found ourselves a goldmine or stumbled into a death-trap.”
>>
Quad replies his deep voice resonating through the air. “Captain, if this place is now considered a possible risk, I’d recommend calling for some reinforcements.”

Eckard backs his argument. “Yeah, and if this place turns out to be the biggest score we’ve ever seen, we could use some help carrying the loot.”

Widget lays out her counter argument. “Calling for extra guys might not be the best plan, I think that a sneakier approach might be best.” She points a discreet thumb a Quad. “I’m surprised we haven’t attracted more monsters than we already have.”

Quad turns to Widget. “You’re not as subtle as you think little girl. Why should we be sneaking around if we have already alerted potential hostiles?”

Eckard backs away as Widget closes some of the gap between the two. “Because, if we go in gun blazing like you want to do, then we’ll be swamped by monsters that want to join in, meaning more people will get hurt. If you’d use your head for thinking instead of cracking nuts then maybe you’d understand that.”

Quad ducks down closing the distance, and pokes her chest. “A sizable squad could sweep the base and clear all hostiles in less than five minutes. Then we’d be free and clear to excavate as much as we wish. And I don’t crack nuts with my head!”

“Yes, you do, I’ve seen you do it when you think you’re by yourself.” An evil grin spreads across Widgets face. “Is it one of your ticks?”

“That’s it!” Quad yells over the comms.

Now annoyed by the lack of professionalism occurring before you. You pull your ear piece off and force feedback through the comms system. Silencing the argument before it can start.

“Alright you two, shut up and start acting a little more like mercs instead of preschoolers!” down any attempt at restarting the fight. “Now stay quite while I think this over.”

They are both sound ideas. Clearing the base will make it easier to move around, but may attract more attention than we can deal with. On the other hand, continuing to move silently through the base will reduce the amount of encounters with hostiles, but will reduce our movement and how much we can carry. Maybe a compromise would be best?

What are your orders?

>Continue as you are, stealth in a good potion.

>Call for reinforcements, clearing this place will make your life much easier.

>Continue moving through the base as normal, and call for reinforcements to follow behind at a distance in case of difficulties.
