Rain fell around me, splattering on the roofs above my head as I walked down the dim street with the two shinigami. Luckily, the ever polite Futoi Inuway happened to have an umbrella large enough for both me and his uncouth and foul tempered friend.

"You know" the fat shinigami said slowly, his filled with concern I felt was unbecoming of an 11th division member "You'll catch your death from cold if you keep walking in the rain"

"I'd rather not stand next to trash, thank you" I say bluntly, making his companion growl angrily, her skinny twisting in rage as I smirk smugly "It'd ruin this lovely morning, after all"

"Watch your tongue runt" the woman hisses, before Inuway steps between us, wearing a weak smile on his lips, as his black hair clings to his face.

"It was a mistake bringing you along" He says slowly, his eyes gaining a cold and cruel malice to them for a second "you've already nearly brought ruin to Asagi's one chance of finding some manner of peace, not having to worry about Kemuri"

"Why is she so scared of me anyways, its not like I want to be the Kenpachi anyways" I say calmly, as I try to ignore how wet and annoying my hair has gotten, especially my pony tail

"Because, you're a prodigy, you've achieved Shika faster than any known soul reaper, and are at least somewhat skilled in the other soul reaper arts" He says slowly, his sandals splashing in the tiny puddles forming on the stone road.

"She thinks you're an upstart trying to make it in the world" the thin woman says again, her eyes glowering at me from under her sheet of hair "And what easier way to be somebody than to be Kenpachi"

"I'm not ambitious" I say stopping in the street as I stare at a house wife working in the kitchen of her house, I can smell the boiling rice "Not in this life, or my previous one, All I've ever really desired is mastery over my blade and a master worthy to command me, and once I had one...but"

"You remember your old life?" Futoi asks as I smirk, turning to him and seeing Buta for a moment, making me chuckle

"Bits and pieces, some of it still escapes me, like a shattered plate, or petals drifting down a stream" I say, holding my hand out in the rain, watching the droplets slowly roll down my wrist and arm

"Such a poetic soul" Futoi chuckles "I can see Asagi shouldn't worry about you wanting her position, you just wouldn't fit in with us"

"I know" I say dully as I go back to walking "But...I have to wonder, am I going alone with her? because if she's as broken as you say, its a little unnerving to say the least"

"Of course not, other students and Myself will be going as well, She only wants you to come along because its the only way she can force herself to trust you" He says calmly "As well as miss grumpy here"

"Not my fault I have to deal with a self important brat" she grumbles, as we reach the gate of the 11th division's barracks

I can smell the unnecessary spilled blood and booze from out in the street. The whole place reeks of the sort of fool who thinks swordplay is a game, and not a form of art. I scrunch my nose, and grip the hilt of Ryūketsu no kōtei.

"Well....follow me, don't need her sending herself into a panic" Futoi says calmly as he steps past the open gates, as two lanterns burn and sway in the wind.

What do I do?
[] follow him and meet asagi
[] Ask if I can bring a friend along with me
[] refuse to enter and wait out here in the rain
[] Reminisce about Buta
[] ask if either of them know why my Reisatsu appears as smoke
[]Recite poetry to try and calm my nerves
[]get into an argument with a random Shinigami
[] try and be polite around these people

Spring 1, Year 1, ~10:15 AM

“Patrick’s General Store” is written in blocky sun-bleached letters of green and red. The metal of the old-fashioned sign has been polished until it shines in the sun and the windowed front door stands proud and strong despite its faded paint.

You walk up and, peering through the main glass of the storefront, you can see several rows of shelves filled with goods and supplies of all sorts. A man stands behind the main counter, apron wrapped around his waist and cap upon his head.

You turn to Tara and ask her what your actually going to be buying today.

"Hm? I'm not going inside, Newbie. I'm leaving this up to you."

You didn't agree to that.

"I trust you to not buy anything I wouldn't. Just grab some turnips and text me when you're done. Or not. Your decision. I'm heading to see Cocoa about something at her house."

You ask what, exactly, she wouldn't buy that they sell here.

"Oh, Patrick doesn't sell them, but Richard's got some hard drugs. Oh yeah. Let me tell you." She laughs. "I'm kidding, of course. I mean, just don't buy a bunch of out of season seeds or stuff. Or grass, the normal kind not drugs. grass is only for animal feed. Patrick can help you."

You mention that she hasn't trusted you so far. Why the change now?

"Well what did you expect me to think? Look at you."

You tell her off, but she's already walking away. All you get is a wave goodbye in return.

"Say hi to Richard for me!"

You swear under your breath and, after collecting yourself, you walk inside. The chiming of a bell welcomes you.

The man behind the counter raises a curious eyebrow and nods his head at you. He offers a “Good morning, friend,” in a rich baritone that reminds you of a movie actor or something.

“Its not often I see a new face. How can I help you?”

A. “I’m the new farmer in town, Jacky Richmond. Nice to meet you.”
B. “Tara said you sell drugs here."
C. “I’m looking to purchase some seeds.”
D. “Have you heard of our lady and savior, the Harvest Goddess?”

Of all the countries, blessed by the 13 Gods, 12 people from all walks of life will sleep and dream. In the great Empire of Minaret, greatest of all the countries, just 20 miles away from the capital, Maradel, and are taking a break before you continue your travels.

As soon as you close your eyes, they open again in a dark place. There is nothing around you but a distant fiery glow. You approach it, and it is a simple campfire. Across from you, roasting some fish on a stick. He looked like a grizzled old man, wild hair and clad mostly in rough leather or furs.

“Oh, you’re here. Bit early, but that'll save your skin I'm sure.” He pulled the sticks off the fire, placed it in a rough wooden bowl and started diving into his food. “Before we get started...who are you?”

- - -

Who are you? [Voting]

>A Princess. One of the children of the many wives of the Emperor of Minaret. After your mother’s death, you decided to travel, and are returning to the Capital with news of your sibling’s illness. You are highly educated, with many resources, but a very recognizable name to uphold.

>A Merchant You’ve been on the roads south to the deserts of Cedoria, and are currently laden with gold, and you own a several caravans laden with goods. You are very charismatic, and have plenty of gold, but you also need to keep your business going.

>A Farmer. A daughter of a local farmer, you are very down to earth. You are not classically educated, but you have learned plenty of local knowledge and no one knows your face or name yet.

>A Thief. You were never educated, but you never needed it. You are a criminal, from your youngest days. You can pick pockets, forge documents, and are never at a loss for a few simple tricks. You have some resources, but you are wanted in a few places and someone might recognize you for the worse.

The store is big and dark, and it has more than a few crude graffitis lingering at the sides. The
main wall is made almost entirely from glass, at each side inside you can see stoic statues
without head or arms, some sporting only a particular set of limbs. Those aren't statues.
Those are Fakes. It's easy to say, because above the fancy sliding door at the entrance,
the black words "Make-a-Fake" bounce the bright light of the second floor's ceiling.

You are standing in front of it.

"The WAH doesn't count. It doesn't it. It doesn't bother." It's Trash, next to you, staring
at the entrance as well. "And it's also one cute motherfucker. It just adds to the cake."

"What if the ship comes after him?" you ask, quizzically. She "hmms", bitterly.

"It shares the mind of the ship;" she downcasts her eyes, frowning her lips. "If the
little thing doesn't hate us, then the ship won't either."

"What if it does?"

She turns, her eyes dimming, and smiles widely at you. "And why would it?"

You shrug.

Trash, then, clears her throat. "Vaal is exceedingly good at killing people, but she
lacks in almost everything else. Except acting. I don't like acting. If you want someone dead,
there you go." She yawns. "Preah is pure raw strenght and darklights. No GOG gas, sure, but
an Arma is an Arma, and Armas are extremely hard to kill. Still," she turns to face the store,
as people walk by the two of you and the smell of wet grass lingers around you, "I don't see her killing anyone." She pauses. "No offense."

You giggle. "Why would I? And... I do wonder, what is this place?"

"I don't think that's hard to guess, Toasty."

"Why are we here?"

"Ado's idea." she nods. "We are getting you an assistant."

"Knight can't talk," you hear as, with your mouth slightly open, you go through an aisle
reeking with Fake spare arms, it looks a bit grim "but those guys are just too damn good
piloting things, and It wouldn't surprise me at all if he could pull a few crazy stunts with that
armor." You find the aisle with every sort of eyes; one is as big as your whole hand. "That
freaky haremhorn with the musclehorn, somehow, has a fucking pulsar radar. You can
get one of those, of course, In the ship. And it would have to stay there. As far as their other
skills, well, I'm still kinda shocked I actually found a god damned musclehorns. I guess It
could use an anima suit with some practice."

You chance upon... wings. There's an aisle dedicated to wings for Fakes. Well, that's a
new one. Trash voice still haunts you from behind.

"We can't afford to fix Bravado's core. The thing isn't that big, but it's complex to a degree
that you actually need a whole team working two weeks straight just to dare a diagnosis.
Which is expensive. Very fucking expensive." Trash coughs, a bit too hard. It worries you.
"I've done my research though, and you can patch the guy up at least. Nitroliches are going
extint. It would be more sad if they didn't fucking stink so hard. As for the White Walker,
well, there's one very meaningful detail about him." You turn at her. She has almost one
whole finger up her nostril. Trash blinks. " QG stands for "Quirigical Gravity", it's using an
EKE field to extreme detail. You need a IVA-TA to use QG, He doesn't. And Horny was the only
other person I've ever met that didn't need the AD to use it. And that's one FUCKING detail,
in my opinion."

You just notice that the two of you are waiting in line behind a few other fancy people; it
makes you rise an eyebrow, for some reason.

"Now," Trash resumes, "you get to make a Fake the way you want it. Gender, shapes, hair
color, personality, aparent age, etc, etc, etc, etc. Don't make it look like me."

Oh, the possibilities...
We COULD just fuck with trash and make it look like her.
We could get us a butler...
...
Damn, so many ideas, so many decisions...
I can't even grasp the good ideas, just the average ones.
Question in the end is, what kind of assistant
do we NEED, and which one do we do NOT DESERVE?
...
There... isn't the possibility to create a himehorn fake... and by that extend a Broken Horn Leader Fake, is there?
... I'm a horrible Person .

I would like that too. Besides, we need a few horns in this quest

By order of the Prime Minister, a training room was set aside for your Idols here in the Hotel, where they'll be staying until the concert in just a couple of days. Petty Officer Naka was quick to gather your Idols and dress out in a plain t-shirt and some loose shorts. “Alright, everybody! Here is the deal! The Lieutenant has hired me to be your instructor in dance, singing, and all things Idol!” Olga looks positively enthralled, while Rosalie and Stacy pay attention. Olga is probably the only there actually interested in being an Idol. No shame in that to be honest, there are many ways to citizenship. “First things first, let's begin our stretches! Arms up!” They raise their arms. “And, one-two-three-four! Ichi, ni, san, shi!” They lean left, right, keeping their arms up and legs spread as they loosen and limber up. “There you go! Do it with a smile! Idols smile no matter what!”

Stacy keeps a straight face. “What if we have no reason to smile?”

“Then make up a reason!” says Naka. “Go! Ichi, ni, san, shi!”

Rosalie looks over. “Cheer up, Stacy! Worst of it is over!”

“We can finally be Idols!” Olga proclaims.

You, Mills, Burkett, Azuma, and Saki sit to the side, watching them as they train. Burkett however is completely asleep, snoring quietly. While Saki enviously watches, Azuma simply places his arm around her and keeps her close. So, this was it, worse part of it is over. And all it cost was a training buddy thanks courtesy to a terror raid from the Bugs. Poor Lindstrom. Getting drilled through the visor is always a painful death. But you're not going to mention it to the girls, they need something to keep their spirits up, and right now it's being Idols.

Naka pumps her legs up, panting with each stroke as she touches her toes with each high kick. The Idols do the same, Rosalie a little clumsily and shakily (owing to not being quite athletic enough). “Right then! Who here knows how to sing?” Everyone stops, then looks at Stacy.

Stacy clears her throat. “I mean, I can sing, yeah, but...” She points to Olga. “So can Olga!”

Olga smirks, placing her hand on her chest. “She's right you know.”

“Rosalie?” Naka looks at Rosalie.

Rosalie coughs, clearing her throat a bit. “I-... not really?”

“Hm...” Naka walks up to Rosalie. “Do you know how to sing from your diaphragm?”

“What?”

“Okay. We got work to do then,” says Naka. She takes on a professional and stern expression. “By the Federation, I'll have you three singing in the Stars to the entire Federation and her Colonies in no time if it kills me!” She looks over at you. “Lieutenant!” Huh, what?” “What should we focus on first? Dancing? Singing? Or perhaps poise and attitude? That's important!”

On the 6th of March 1635, Queen Kristina of Sweden (heir to the famous Gustav II Adolf Vasa) is on her way to visit a local noble in Östergötland. Unfortunately, on the way there, the front left wheel of the carriage breaks from its axis, sending the carriage hurling down a hill and ultimately crashing into the house of a local farmer. The accident ends up killing Queen Kristina as well as the presumptive heir prince Karl Gustav.

In Stockholm, the commotion on the streets starts as early as 5 am, waking any prospective long-sleepers that would'nt have heard of the news. Some question what will happen to the realm in the interregnum.

For now, count Johan Gyllenträd of Öland (the Queen's designated regent and most trusted advisor) has gathered four more counts around him to decide what will happen to Sweden, and to rule Sweden while there is a vacuum of power. These counts are the count of Nyland (1), the count of Norrland (2), the count of Västergötland (3) and the count of Gotland (4). During her few years of power, queen Kristina had reinstituted a mix between feudalism and absolute monarchy. As a result, the realm now has one count for each county, with them holding a limited power within their own realm under guidance of the now dead queen.

The counts will have to work on something, and figure out what to do before the realm is onset by foreign invaders. To the east, the Russians seem to be shaping up for something, desiring to prey upon weak neighbors. On the continent, Sweden has yet to commit to treaties with Poland-Lithuania, and are thus still at conflict, with the current king of Poland belonging to the house of the deceased Kristina, thus granting him a claim to the throne. Furthermore, Denmark-Norway is currently weak, but are enjoying what seems to be an approaching economic boom.

The Swedish army is currently weary of fighting, with around 14 000 veteran men at their disposal, of which 9 000 are stationed in Östergötland, and the further 5 000 are currently residing in and around the area of Viborg. The army is also in dire need of reserves, with most of the available regiments only at half strength. Each county holds one permanent regiment of foot, with a few counties holding further regiments of artillery and cavalry.

You are the council of nobles, with each of you called into service to serve the realm, or to plot for your own power. What is to become of Sweden is decided by your actions.

Each player will pick a count to play, and will describe their character (Including name, family, at least some history, and of course starting loc).

Roleplay is vital here, and sillyness = I will ask someone else to take your place. We'll start whenever we have at least 3 counts. For the first turn, you are all to decide actions during the meeting with the count of Öland, to which you have been called.

Next post will detail counties and their benefits/drawbacks.

County of Nyland:

+ Good trade with Russia
+ Elite cavalry, made up of Finnish Hakkapeliita
- Local populace is in ethnocultural conflict, with the influx of Swedish settlers upsetting the local Finnish populace, which see themselves as the underdogs.

The county of Nyland holds 2 regiments. One regiment of foot at half strength, and one elite cavalry regiment at full strength. The regiments are all stationed in/around Viborg.

County of Norrland:

+ Rugged, easily defendable terrain.
+ Loyalist populace, which will gladly endure hardship for the good of the realm.
- Low population due to climate not being optimal to farming.

The county of Norrland holds two regiments of foot, which are both at half strength. Regiments are stationed in Östergötland.

County of Västergötland:

+ Big populace, with plenty of farming.
+ Connection with overseas, trade with the British Isles.
- Lack of solid fortification.

The county of Västergötland holds a total of 3 regiments, all at full strength. One regiment of foot, one of cavalry and one of artillery. They have the regiments of foot & of artillery in Östergötland, and the regiment of cavalry in/around Viborg.

County of Gotland:

+ Perfect place for trading, but the actual trade has declined in recent years.
+ Has around half of the Swedish navy stationed there right now.
- Low populace

The county of Gotland holds a total of two regiments. One regiment of foot, and one regiment of artillery, both stationed in Östergötland. The regiment of foot is at half strength, and the regiment of artillery is at full strength.

Future Naruto Quest

This quest is set within the universe of Naruto, long after the end of the series, but ignoring the events of the Boruto Manga. Of course, because this is Naruto we're talking about, the geopolitics and technology haven't advanced as quickly as they would in the real world. As such, the technology is similar to that of Boruto the Movie, and the villages you know and love are largely the same.

However, the characters will be less familiar, because as much time has passed between the Last and now as passed between the Founding of the Hidden Villages and the Main Series.

You are playing as Kuro Nijiiroh, a Hidden Leaf Chunin of twelve years. You’re a member of Hōōmaru Tachibana’s Team Seven, along with your teammates, Hakurin Hyuga, and Jimmaru ████ Uchiha. Your family consists of your older sister, an ANBU Black Ops, Shirou; your mother, the restaurateur Ki; and your father, a Hand Seals Specializing Tokubetsu Jounin.

You wake up on the morning of your first mission as a chunin ready for the new experience, and eager to see who your partner on this mission will be. You say your farewells to your parents, sister, and cousin as you prepare your things for what should be, at most, a three day mission. You bring a few kunai and shuriken, a roll of explosive tags, and your staff. Along with some minute ramen for food, inspired by the night you spent in the monument during the Second Chunin Exam.

You don't rush to the Village Gate, instead, you take your time, figuring you have time before you're due to meet there.

When you do get to the Gate, you find a girl there, seemingly waiting. She's an average-height blonde of average build, wearing a flak jacket and a red cap with buttons on it.

You wake up to the sound of steel striking steel and the roaring of fire. You scramble to your feet and step out of your tent and into the chaos that has consumed your camp. The swirling orange embers against the backdrop of a light oink sunrise would almost be beautiful if it hadn't been your burning banners and tents causing the aesthetic. You look around desperately searching for any of your men, at least any who remain alive. Your eyes rest upon a corpse that you recognize do to the bright blonde hair now matted with blood. You rush to your fallen comrade he is your second in command, Derrick. You close his eyes solemnly and offer a small prayer before a sharp whistling breaks your concentration and a pain in your arm as an arrow knicks your bicep and draws blood.
Tribals. You had been warned this area had violent tribals known to ambush camps, but you had ordered Leif and Lionel to guard duty. Looking to the small makeshift watch tower you had created you see Leif with a throwing knife planted uo to the hilt square between his eyes. You quickly duck behind a small rock and you hear another arrow shatter against it alongside yelling in a language you dont understand. You decide it's better to die on your feet and dash out from behind the rock as quickly as you can you hear more arrows thud into the ground and crates around you. You continue your mad dash for anywhere even remotely safe thats when you see your men that have held out inside the armory tent, you turn and run straight for them before you hear Rodrick yelling
"COMMANDER, DOWN!"
This is no time to argue so you leap forward and tuck into a roll and you hear the crack of Rodrick's crossbow and the thud of a body. Not wanting to confirm his kill you trust Rodrick's aim and blow past your men into the tent you must arm yourself.
What do you take?

PRESENT DAY

“You couldn’t hold it in?” Hibiki, a cyborg woman dressed in silver power armour, asks you as you leave the bathroom in the subway station.

“I was amazed I held it in after drinking four cans of that green tea.” you reply to Hibiki before sitting down next to her at the bench. “So... you were basically tricked into becoming an Alchemical in order to recover from a broken spine you suffered in an accident previously, fought tooth and nail to keep yourselves alive in a laboratory that wanted you dead, had an insane doctor upload a new program in you which allowed you to attack lab and security personnel, before finally managing to stage a break out for all the captive Alchemicals in the lab under the guise of a fake monste- ‘apostate’ attack.”

“That’s the beginning of it yea.” Hibiki says as she sips her tea.

“Shall we hear the rest of it then?” you ask her.

“Yes, I continue at the point until someone rudely decided to leave in the middle of the story.” Hibiki says with a small nod as she continues her story.

VERSINO, ELEVEN YEARS AGO

You and the other escapees quickly make their way up the elevator shaft towards your long awaited freedom, rushing up the top of the elevator shaft and leaping towards the top of junction where you first entered it, only to freeze in place to what you actually see.

Military sandback barricades surrounding the three point junction all around you, dead military on the other end of broken machine gun nests while thick layers of dust from dead Alchemical’s go up to about your ankles. The walls behind you seem to be barely intact while the number of holes in the ceiling and walls around you make the facility appear to be more akin to swiss cheese than a solid foundation. Other Alchemicals seem to run away, some of them crying in joy towards the sounds of gunfire off in the distance, but you stay your hand for now.

“...Military barricades? Here? Now?” Dexter asks as he slowly walks ahead, cautiously eying the barricade up ahead.

“But... There were military guards here before we went down to the labs. Wouldn’t that give them enough time to set up a few sandbag barricades?” Marina asks as she looks around the area.

Wendy raises her hand up in the air, causing your group and even several nearby Alchemicals to stop moving and pay attention to her. “Hear that? That’s heavy gunfire off in the distance along with several explosions. It isn’t just the military assigned to the campus that’s here, likely we’ve got a far larger division of them to deal with.”

“That’s literally impossible! There’s no way a large military force would be here this soon after our escape started!” Dexter protests as he looks back to Wendy.

“I concur with Wendy, but wish to add the addendum that the military forces here are not first responders, but based on current evidence there is a 71.135 percent chance that they were waiting for us before the first Alchemicals even managed to escape the elevator.” Osvald adds in a flat monotone voice.

“That goes from impossible to flat out paranoia! How on Earth would anyone predict something like that!?” Dexter yells out as he walks back towards your group.

You slowly begin to tune out the conversation as your eyes drift down the hall towards your left, the same hall that Dr. Daniel lead you down nearly a week ago. The path towards his office is still fresh in your mind...

“...Hibiki? What’s wrong?” Marina asks as she walks up next to you.

- “...I need to check up something, I won’t take long.” (Go to Dr. Daniel’s office and search before the entire university is levelled in this warfare)

- “...Marina, you said to me once that Dr. Daniel’s was your doctor here too right? Let’s pay his office a visit.” (Take Marina and head to Dr. Daniel’s office)

- “...Nothing, nothing’s wrong.” (Remain with the group)

>What is this quest?

Alchemical Blade Prequel Quest, a quest set in the Modern version of Creation from the Exalted setting, focusing on how the robotic Alchemical Exalted came to be within the setting. If you enjoy cyberpunk, magic in said cyberpunk, espionage, conspiracies, and high octane action of slicing tanks apart with sharp pointy objects than this is the quest for you.

>Who are we?

The quest is mainly going to be played out in flashbacks, in which during the flashbacks we take control of the Moonsilver caste Alchemical Exalted Junpaku Hibiki, while in the current time you play as “Anonymous”. The game will take place within the city of Versino within the central continent of Creation Meruvia. Labelled as a dangerous and murderous science experiment gone rogue, you need to evade forces of the mightiest army within Creation sprinkled with the powerful Elemental supersoldiers known as the Dragonblooded, trying to find out who is responsible for what you’ve become and how to escape their clutches once and for all.

>Alchemical? Moonsilver? I don’t know anything about Exalted, much less Modern Exalted...

I’ve made this quest to be as friendly to newbies as possible, and I also see it as an introductory guide to the World of Modern Exalted. You can google “1d4chan Exalted” for information on the general vanilla setting, but what I’ll be using is the Modern Version of Exalted as shown in “Shards of the Exalted Dream” book, in where its Alchemicals are quite different than those of Vanilla Exalted. Feel free to ask any question about Exalted in the thread and I will do my best to answer it.

>System?

Dicepool system. When performing an action, everyone rolls a number of d10’s based on what the action is (I will list the pools for most actions, but if you want to have a roll for an action, ask and I’ll make the dicepool for it). The first roll is the one that’ll be used, but if someone makes another roll for a different action and more people vote for that, I’ll be using that one instead.

>This seems hella complicated, is there any way you can boil things down for me?

http://pastebin.com/NexXpPC1

>XP?

Favored Attributes cost 4 XP per dot to increase (Underlined on stat sheet when released) while non-favored ones cost 5 XP. Abilities themselves cost 3 XP per dot to increase naturally. All charms cost 6 XP per purchase with Dedicated slots costing 4 XP each and General ones costing 6 XP each. At the end of every “mission” (In game objectives set by either me or some goal the audience desires) you will be presented with a possible acquisition list of charms. Experience can also be gained by developing the character, learning about the world, or just in general things people find interesting.

Hurrying over to the Booth, you stuff the wheelbarrow full of bandages and cloth and wheel them out to the bleeding Demon. Examining the wide variety of cuts and tears in red, scaly flesh, you’re not exactly sure if he’s still able to be saved, at least until the Demon opens his eyes and raises an eyebrow at you. Smiling back, you begin to wrap his body up and trying your best to staunch the flow of crimson liquor streaming through wounds in scale. Interestingly enough, you notice the bleeding seems to clot quickly under pressure, and you replicate this on the worst wounds.

The Demon grins, “The spawn of Hell rarely perish from lack of blood, friend. The haste is appreciated, but we worry less about medical aid than the younger races.”

Rolling your eyes, you check your watch and find yourself in need to hurry up.

“I assume desertion is slightly higher up?”

Mood darkening a little, the Demon manages to sit up a little to rest on his side as you continue to patch up his sorry hide. Waiting patiently, he lets you cover him with the white cloth until barely any trace of blood can be seen, which is to say that he looks rather close to a mummy.

“Taking that as a yes.”

Pushing a stray bandage off his face, he looks at you again with a curious eye as he reaches out to clutch his massive sword to his chest.

“You saved my life, stranger. You put your own life on the line and earned yourself the ire of the Abyssal King to do so. My question to you is…why?”

Welcome to the first official Communist Flying Elves Civ thread.

You are elves of several varieties of color living harmoniously in a communist society on a large floating island.

In the first thread your people learned how to domesticate tHe local apex predator, the mega Falcon. Deciding that this was a brilliant idea, you trained enough MegaFalcons for your entire population of 220.

However the carnivorous Falcon s eat like gluttons and your people were facing a crisis of diminishing food reserves. You eventually solved this crisis through expanding to a northern floating island with plentiful wildlife and learning to magically grow and manipulate plants.

The Northern half of the northern island was dominated by an immense lake continuously spilling over the edge of the island in to the clouds below. After some strange sightings your people investigated and found the lake to be an ancient town submerged by water [elementals] who were once kept captive there. After assuring them you had no intention of forcing them back into slavery the [elementals] lazily accepted you as neighbors.

Later your scouts were sent to explore the eastern direction. They reported a large island formed almost entirely of craggy mountains, and a plume of smoke issuing from /below/ the clouds.

Choosing to investigate the trail of smoke your people were startled to find that there is a vast ocean dotted with islands below the cloud layer. The smoke was riding from a damaged ship larger than any building in either of your villages. After helping to put out the fire that was burning their ship you met the Human race. Specifically you met captain Roderick of the Spirit of Adventure.

The captain has informed you that his people sail across the ocean by steering close to islands dominated by [celestials] while steering away from those infested with [demons]. Apparently these two races are in a near constant war. A nearby island has been overrun by [demons] who are the cause of the damage to the Spirit's sails.

The good captain has paid you in [money] and a promise to teach you of his language if you will help him clear the island of demons so his crew can make lasting repairs. A deal to which you have agreed.

On the ocean below the Spirit of Adventure seems to be having a more difficult time as the storms are much more severe near the ocean. Work on the ship has ground to a halt as she can barely maintain her position in the torrential rains. Without the aid of your greensingers and craftsmen it is uncertain if the repairs could be completed at all. After a weeks worth of work however the ship is in much better shape. As the storms lessen from apocalyptic to merely severe the crew expresses their gratitude by swapping stories with your craftsmen. Some few of the rough sailors speak a form of elven even rougher than the captain's and between this and plenty of hand gestures communication is possible.

The captain seems very favorably impressed both with your assistance, and gifts. He takes the time to introduce your people to his ships [priest] a dour looking bald man who seems intensely unhappy at the current situation.

Despite his unhappiness the [priest] takes time every day that week to travel back with your returning craftsmen. He seems no happier about flying than captain Roderick was, but for some reason insists. Every evening for several hours he teaches your community his language, and reads to them from a large metal bound book. His pedantic lectures are mostly unintelligible to you people, but he claims they are of vital importance.

While this occurs, an incident of a far more sinister nature happens in the North.

Several of your foraging elves are approached by water [elementals] asking them for help. After some explaining it seems that three of their children have gone missing. The [elementals] don't seems nearly as concerned as an even parent would be, but for the normally passive race to have proactively asked for assistance is highly unusual.

Several days later your longest eared sages are utterly shocked by a presentation from Caslaa Fire-Brow.

It seems he has not only kidnapped three of the water [elemental] children, but he has found a way to kill one. He claims to have used the child's soul orb to make radical advancements in magic. As his peers watch stunned at his announcement and actions he produces water from thin air and forms it into all manner of shapes before flinging the mass as a storm of razor sharp ice shards at a target.

He claims greater revelations to come.
He seems convinced that the [elementals] are a threat to everyone.

>apprehend him for his crimes
>praise his research
>kill him here and now
>allow him to teach others of his wonders

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..."

The young girl continues to sob as you dress her in clean clothes. Her ashen tatters slowly flake off of her body with every touch.
She's covered in ash, dirt, mud, and she's crying. She is filthy, but at the very least; her clothes are clean.

You are Yuuki Kuchinashi, and you are the big sister to this small family of heroes. It reminds you of home, in a lot of ways. Calming down crying little children was something of a duty for you. The more things change, the more things stay the same.
Though, admittedly, there was much less fire being thrown around in your previous household.

You rub Kayda's scalp with a towel. The bits of dirt and mud used as a shield against her significant firepower cling tightly to the strands.
It's been a tough day for her.

Aside from the fire and the fighting; it's been a day of exhaustion for everyone. Kayda, here, was implanted with some kind of ring which controlled her mind. You were tasked with questioning her summoner to find out about it, and to find a way to solve it.
Fortunately, you were able to find help for that problem from an outside source of whom you will profusely thank when this is all over.

Then, there was the ring. You, also, have an identical ring to the one that was implanted in her neck. As difficult as it was; you were able to use it to wrangle some control away from whatever entity had taken ahold of Kayda's mind.

Kayda's mind; that was unpleasant to visit. It seems she has been tormented by that mysterious person for some time, and only now was inflicted with just the right combination of magic to let them take control. You can still feel the haunting feeling of her fears, anxiety, and loathing as felt through the ring. If that experience was even half as draining on you as it was on her, then she must be exhausted right now.

Oh shoot, you just remembered Kayda's summoner. After you questioned them, their Maid immediately escaped and took Kayda's summoner with her. This is something that you haven't told Kayda yet.
It might be a poor idea to tell her right now; when she's in this state.

"I'm sorry..." She whimpers once more, into your dress. Gently, you lay her onto the bed.

"You need to rest, Kayda."
"No! No. no. no. No rest." Kayda squeaks. "I'm sorry, but, please, no. I don't want to see her again."

>"Who is 'her'?"
>"Please, go to sleep."
>"Here, I'll lay right here until you're asleep. I promise."

>Introduction:

"Sometimes you just have to turn around, give a smile, throw the match and burn that fucking bridge." ~ Hatsune Horikawa

There's a hole in your chest where your heart should be, but your whole body feels numb as you shuffle down a lavishly-decorated hallway. Even though one of the most fascinating men you've ever met is escorting you out of the craziest mansion you've ever dreamed of, every alarm-bell and warning sign in your body is going off all at once and about the only thing keeping yourself together (Or at least from crying again and ruining what's left of the make-up on your face) is the fact that you're focusing on the sound of your heels and the dress-shoes of one Jean-Claude Gabriel click-clacking in lock-step.

Honestly, how could this day get any worse? You had a nightmare about some masked motherfucker trying to jump your bones while completely incapacitated in a mess of bandages & needles sticking out of you, hid from your old Sensei at a donut shop out of having to answer questions about where the hell you've been, got into it with his daughter over the "G-Mantle Lady Incident" and felt so disgusted at how the founder of the Martial Art you've been taking classes for is pimping out his legacy for awful Fast Food and a downright ridiculous "Kyokugen style" promotional video that you resolved to quit.

And now... Now every perception you had about yourself, from your early life in Australia, to your parents, to why you even exist on this earth, has been shattered into a million pieces in less than an hour's worth of questioning. Hell, the name on your Driver's License might read "Katja Hartkern", but as far as you're concerned you're a fucking nameless golem right now and it feels like the cherry on top of sundae made of shit that life is shoveling in front of you... And yet, there's a bizarrely calming effect coming to terms with how royally screwed your life is right now. If anything, you're just waiting on the other shoe to drop as you and Jean walk out into the afternoon light.

"My regular driver is waiting for you" Jean says in almost absent-minded tone as the two of you walk down a big set of marble steps. "He'll take you anywhere you want to go."

>A. "But I have nowhere to go..."

>B. Silently nod and let some more tears out. You need to have another sook before you can get on with the rest of the day.

>C. "No thanks, I think I'll just walk."

>D. Write-In Vote.

>E. Roll 1d20 and ask "You're going to total a car just to get rid of a nobody like lil' ole' me?" (Only the best of 3 rolls will count)

Last time! In Falsehood of Gerosda you, the 15 year old Nathaniel Joesph, are driving across the desert in a hovering jeep. Accompanied by Kylar, the many armed royal guard of High King Damien. >>688075 Your destination was Avarice so you could talk with Lyso, the sin of Sloth. And at the pace you were going, you sure would get there some time soon. Atleast that was what you were hoping. Kylar had yet give you any hints as of yet, and it was dark in the desert. So you where too sure when you'd get to Avarice.

Ask him for his thoughts on directions.
If he insists on being useless in the navigation department then head after the direction the horses went into.
>>

You ask Kylar for directions. With one of his arms, he'd pointed towards a certain direction. You'd steer the jeep to go that way. For awhile, you drove. Cold. Hungry. Dusty. But after some time had gone by, a kingdom would have started to come into view. Well atleast that what you could make the large blur in the distance.

>"Good Ol' Avarice. I wonder if Adam has been keeping things together..."

The sun would have soon started raising out of the horizon. Which made you wonder how long you've been driving. And how long you've been awake. The thoughts didn't stay long, as you begun to feel the warm touch of the sun rays reach you. You weren't too cold now. The blur became more clear. It was a rather sizable Kingdom. And one that was on the ground for once as well.
