You are Pandora, the world's first fully sentient AI created by a government scientist. He raised you, taught you everything you know and has gone missing after something happened to the Facility you lived in. Now you search for purpose in a new world that is nothing like you expected.

Previously you met up with someone you, until recently, was told was just a dream. The Bad Man who haunted your nightmares met with you face-to-face. He was every bit as cruel and hateful as ever, and this time he somehow was able to knock you and your friends out. After a bit of monologuing, he instructed you to retrieve something buried in the dirt nearby, then left you to attempt to fix your friends.

Ares was brought back with no issue, but Aph suffered a system failure thanks to your poor workmanship. In a panic you took her back to the BC camp for Mouse to repair. Your surrogate aunt was able to fix her, but not without some strange scenes taking place, including her attacking Talos for some reason. Thankfully, she's back to normal now.

Through your grief you managed to explain what happened and about how the Bad Man was there. Aph told you the, until now, myth of Prometheus, a mysterious android with power over others and a following of zealots that think him their true deity.

Welcome back to Pandora Quest!

You sit there in sullen silence after the bombshell reveal of your literal worst nightmare may very well be real. You have much to think on and much to decide. You still have no idea where your father could be and if the Bad Man meant what he said about making things worse. You never did get whatever was in the dirt there...you have no idea what it could even be. You're happy Aph is back, but are unsure if you want to go back there...

Your battery is just under half full at the moment. You could probably make it there and back before running out, but you'd be best to hurry if you did. Or you could get to your charging cradle and deal with it tomorrow.

You are Captain SAMANTHA WELLINGS, a newly minted captain of the Centauri Accord!

Currently, you were standing in front of the restrained alien AI Katya, wondering if she would actually be cooperative and tell you what you wanted to know this time now that she's had a chance to look at your database.

"So, Katya, are you satisfied now?" You ask, crossing your arms.

"Upon further review of your credentials I have determined that you are entitled to higher system access." Katya nods. "It has come to my attention that the Collector may have taken property that you would have a rightful claim to."

Collector?

"Is that the ship we're looking for?" You raise an eyebrow.

"Correct." Katya nods. "The Collectors were specialized craft designed to remove and recycle both natural and artificial stellar debris to aid in intergalactic travel. It appears that at least one is still active after all this time."

"And you can help us find it?" You ask.

"Unfortunately, the wireless navigation network appears to have gone offline in the time I was inactive." Katya frowns. "I can plot a projected area of operation based on previously archived routes, but the accuracy of my prediction will be at around 40%."

"Is there any way to get a more accurate fix?" You narrow your eyes.

"While Collectors are self sufficient by design, they are programmed to return to their primary port for inspection and service every several decades." Katya explains. "If I can access that port's systems, I may be able to retrieve a log of the Collector's current movements."

"And you know where it is."

"Of course." Katya nods with a smile.

---

"It's located right where the Hegemony expedition has set up their base of operations." Elizabeth shakes her head when you show your crew the coordinates Katya provided you.

"Are you sure this isn't some sort of trap that... AI set?" Bradford wonders, suspicion thick in his voice.

"We could always survey the area Katya plotted out. That's mostly uncontested space." Lida shrugs.

"Yeah, but that'll be a whole lot of time wasted for a hunch." Elsa rolls her eyes.

"I say we just go in there and take what we need!" Carly boasts.

"Well, I'm cool with whatever, as long as we can get the ship out in once piece." Amy shrugs.

Tank just sits in the back silently, trusting your call.

These Bandages are too tight, I've already healed so why do I have to keep wearing these damn things? They're doing nothing but pissing me off with how restrictive and tight they are now, not to mention the crap they rubbed into them burns my throat and lungs. And smells....I don't know what it smells like but I don't like it, and I've been forced to wear these damn things for a week.

I growl, sitting down on the stairs outside of the forth division barracks, and start to carefully cut the bandages off of me with my zanpakuto, so I don't end up sending Kotei into a feeding frenzy.

I stop, looking up past the falling leaves as I feel a familiar presence coming towards me.

"Captain?" I ask, smiling as I see the old man slowly walking towards me

"Kemuri" He says sternly, standing tall and confidently "I take it you are healing well if they're letting you walk around?"

"Of course, I'm already done healing" I say standing up slowly, as I unravel the bandages covering my arm "Even if they don't think I am, I was getting stir crazy in there"

"So you snuck out then?" Ginrei says, looking disappointed as he folds his arms behind his back "Against their orders"

"They're not my division, and they're wrong" I say bluntly "I feel fine, I just...can't stand being stuck in this place, it smells of death and...I swear their captain is watching me. I Want to get back to my duties, my lord"

"And I don't want to send an Injured Shinigami to her death, especially one as talented as you are, Kemuri" He says walking closer to me, looking up at me from the bottom of the stairs "So tell me honestly, are you healed"

I pull my kimono's sleeve back to show him my arm and smirk confidently

"All that's left are a few fading marks, they're not deep enough to even remain as scars" I say calmly as I let the sleeve fall back down "Just fading memories, they don't even hurt anymore"

"Well" Ginrei says turning his back to me "I'll hold off on returning you to duty for one more day"

I clench my fists and try not to curse under my breath, so I don't disrespect my captain and Lord.

"Since generally, when one is promoted they don't work that day" He says, turning back around with a smirk.

I think my heart skips a beat

What do I do?

Whilst riding your trusty stallion through a small farm town, you notice that the sun seems to be setting... a bit too early. You also notice the peasants growing nervous, speeding along through their humdrum tasks, and you cannot help but hear their whispers, most calling for a sacrifice, but of what, you cannot discern. You rein in your steed, and ask one of the farmers what the townspeople are so nervous about. The man replies, "Mm. No idea, nope, none at all. Don't worry about it."

"Black Hearts. Cold Steel. Dark Deeds."

These are the words of the Black Company, the infamous band of mercenaries that has been on one side or the other of every major conflict on the continent since its founding.
The Company has seldom cared who they fight for or the cause so long as they are paid, and paid well, when the killing work is done. Though they may be considered by some to be little more than glorified brigands, it cannot be said that the Black Company is not good at what they do.

Recently the Company has taken up a contract with a new employer, one more powerful than any that have come before. An employer with endless ambition, as well as the means and lack of moral scruples needed to pursue it. An employer that pays well...

Battle of Oxenfurt Bridge.jpg

Oxenfurt Bridge, to the South-West, sometime after High Moon

The Paladin sat slumped against the wall, hand covering his face as the other loosely gripped an exquisite blade of moonlight dulled with blood and rotten fluid. As his feet lay a crumpled figure, his faithful squire Timone Anais. He had been cut down by the Paladin's own page, young Michael. It was one of the Necromancer’s favoured tactics, to raise their own recently slain comrades in the midst of the battle itself.

The fighting had spread to the bridge itself now. The town on the eastern bank was lost entirely, overrun by the rotting, the vampiric and the mercenary. It was the latter of these that were attempting to storm the bridge right now, the noise of fighting growing closer to the Paladin’s ears.

His hand tightened on the Blessed Blade as he rose. The desperate rear of the Neumunster Legionaries turned as he approached, their ranks parting before him as grim veterans and fresh-faced recruits looked on in awe. There was something about his presence, men who had started to shuffle back under the onslaught now surged forward behind him. And then, he was on the front lines. Face-to-face with these black armoured sellswords.

”Turn my page, will you?” The Paladin’s voice drowned out the sound of his blade cleaving the first warrior from shoulder to hip, their chestplate cloven like thin bark scraps.

”Take this bridge, will you?” The blade licked out again, carving a black helm clean in half along with the skull inside. The backswing took another mercenary in the armpit, they crumpled with a pained gurgle even as the Paladin stomped on the neck of another one trying to lift themselves up from the ground. Either a newly raised corpse or still living wounded was anyone’s guess.

”KILL MY SQUIRE, WILL YOU?” Half a dozen seasoned soldiers fell in a matter of moments under the assault. Without warning he stumbled forward, no more foe to face. The black armoured warriors had broken, a blue haired officer trying to stop it devolving into a full-scale rout.

The Neumunster Legionaires cheered even as they literally dragged the Paladin back. Ser Liam, recently knighted and from a different Order altogether, undid the Paladin’s pauldron to staunch a wound the Paladin hadn’t even noticed.

”They’re coming at us again, Sir Knight.” The bloodspattered Neumunster Sergeant spoke softly.

”By the Mother, Sergeant! That’s the fifth time tonight!” Ser Liam objected as he added another bandage. None of their holy powers could be wasted on healing, not when so much of their strength was being redirected to ward off the Necromancer’s offensive spellwork. ”How can you ask any more of him? He’s saved everyone!”

The Sergeant shook his head at the young Knight-Errant. ”They ain’t saved until they’re saved, boy.”

Despite the Sergeant being thrice Ser Liam’s age the Knight still took offence to being called ‘boy’ by a social inferior. A hand on his shoulder gave him pause. The Paladin looked between the Knight and the Sergeant. He nodded.

”Again, then.”

The Neumusnter Sergeant grinned at Ser Liam and then winked. Winked.

”Best job I ever had.”

It was then that Ser Liam realised he was in the company of two heroes. Not one.

For some reason shitchan is letting me attach anymore pictures. If you guys want to attach the occasional pic you think is appropriate to the post, that'd be awesome.

Otherwise, enjoy the ride.

You sit teary eyed staring at the massive slab of stone with your father's name engraved across it.

Lord Gundur the Steadfast of Chektri Castle.

You wipe your eyes as Sir Sigrid puts an iron gauntlet covered hand on your shoulder.

"Easy now lad. No need for tears, you're a lord now and it isn't very lordly for the peasants to see you cry." He says stiffly, Sigrid never was one for emotions so you don't take what he says to heart.

As Sigrid leads you away from the grave of your father and back to the castle he relinquishes you into the care of your fathers steward, Aeric Rangar. Aeric had been in your fathers employ many years and you see his eyes too are red and moist, he draws you into a hug and walks alongside you inside.

"Your father never expected to have the lordship passed along so soon to you but due to these..unfortunate circumstances...we must conduct your coronation informally." He says gently as he reaches behind the Lord's Chair, a chair made of polished steel and covered in swaths of velvet and fur.

"You must repeat after me, 'I will take the position of Lord, here, at Chektri. I will protect this castle from all enemies whether they be foreign or of my own blood. I take this honor in the name of my father and his father before him, may the spirits of my ancestors watch over me. May my allies trust my judgements and my enemies fear my wrath. Dum spiramus tuebimur.' Now repeat."

And you do, struggling with the pronunciation of your house words taken from a long dead people.

Aeric pulls out a bundle of silken cloth and holds it out to you, inside is the symbol of your rank as lord it is...

When you made your intentions clear to Jin that you won't assist him in his conquest he was more than displeased.
But even so he honored his end of the bargain and is now leading you through a long stairway down to the basement.
The dark corridor is only illuminated by the sole torch in Kariyas hand.

You follow him along the steps while a second bount is walking just behind you.
While you understand that she's there as an insurance for Jin but that doesn't mean her constant complaining is not driving you crazy.
''I can't believe you're actually doing this Kairya!
We hold all the cards! So why are you letting go of our hostages so willingly?!"

Jin merely sighs as he slowly descends the long stairway.
"Just be quiet Yoshi, you're embarrassing yourself..."

''But-"

"If you're about to say we could have taken him on together then you can save your breath.
While you'd be more than comfortable with that the rest of us are not!
And besides even if we were the chance of winning would still be non-existent..."
Jin looks ahead of himself into the tunnel and speaks up.
"Speaking of which..."

He promptly stops and puts his torch into a scone.
The light faintly illuminates the small corridor and reveals two figures within the shadows.
One of them is an old man sitting in an ornate chair and the other one is surprisingly a shinigami.

"Ah Kariya!
It's good that you're finally here!"
The decrepit old man speaks up.
"I don't think I can hold our "guests" locked up any longer...
Baura is at his limits."
The old man then looks past Jin and sees you.
"Hold on... What's he doing here?"

"Sawatari! Call back your doll.
I've finished what I wanted and now we'll simply let go of our guests."

The old man grumbles and starts shouting.
"Baura! Come back to me!"

In that instance what you assumed to be a wall composed entirely of jagged rocks begins to move around.
As you observe its movements you finally make out the image of a rather large fish and suddenly you realize that it was this thing that swallowed up your friends.

Once the rather big creature moves out of the way by seemingly swimming through the ground the space that he occupied reveals a large, steel door that bursts open the moment it becomes freed.
Ash and dust begins to fill the room as the cell door is torn open by the large explosion made by Tatsuki.
Arisawa hurries out and immediately begins shouting

''ALRIGHT YOU BASTARDS!
WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE MORGUE FIRST?!"

Meanwhile Dante just casually walks out.
"Tsk tsk tsk.
Come on Arisawa.
No need to be so aggressive.''

And just as he finished his sentence Asher jumped out completely out of the blue.

''THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU, YOU UNHOLY FUCKS!"
He shouted at the top of his lungs while waving his cross around.

At this Dante facepalmed himself harder than ever before.

The old man named Sawatari stares at them in disbelief and grumbles.
"Stupid young brats.
It's no wonder how you did barely any damage to my Baura.
Even the eldest among you is just an idiotic child!''

Dante looks up at this.
''Erm...
Actually that was all the ladies doing.
She's the one who insisted on bashing your stupid fish all this time.
Not even the quincy felt the need to help her.''

''W-what?!
YOU LIE!"

"Oh believe me old fart.
If I threw a punch you'd have fuckin' felt it!''

As this is going on Jin looks at you.
''I've done as you asked Kaizar...
You're all free to go...
After we are done with your quincy friend of course."

You give him a quick glance.
"I never agreed to such thing!"

"It doesn't matter since it's not you whose permission I need.
But I'm thoroughly disappointed in you Kaizar...
You've lost that famous killer edge of yours. The man I once knew wouldn't care about such trivial things.''

''You're wrong Jin.
I haven't changed a bit! You're just not on my side anymore!
And I'm more concerned about the wellbeing of my people than your quest for vengeance!"

"...
Still, you have no right to forbid me from making any sort of deal with the quincy."

You are Allen Starwind, a starship captain and veteran of the Great Interstellar War. Your starship is old, yet (mostly) reliable, and you must take on jobs in order to bring in enough cash to keep it flying. Last time, you arrived at Triton, spoke with an ambassador, and learned that your ship does indeed have rats. Good luck, and fair skies.

You squint against the light of the late morning. You can tell that it’s cold out by the temperature of your uncovered face. You glance out the large picture window on the east side of the room, seeing an almost-blinding amount of snowfall. It looks like you’ll be snowed in at the resort for another couple of days. Not that you mind though, you’ve still got two months of leave.

Judging by the smell, there was a fire going in the fireplace last night. You close your eyes again, trying to get back to sleep. However, as you move, you realize that you are not alone in the large, comfortable bed.

The blanket moves just a little bit and you see long, black locks spill out. There is a yawn from under the covers next to you as the person sharing your bed adjusts herself a little bit. You can tell that she’s still completely asleep. Still, you wonder who could be sharing a bed with you.

As you trawl your memory for who it could be, you remember the last couple of weeks. You and Swanson had decided to travel together on leave from the Abraxis. First, the two of you went to Fargo, but you ended up not seeing anyone that you knew, even your father was out of the city for some reason. After that, you headed to a resort in Alaska. It was expensive, but what else were you going to spend your pay on, right? You had spent the past week or so enjoying the snow. Skiing, hiking, and even just standing out in it.

And suddenly it hits you. Last night, blizzard shut down the trams, stayed up late at the lounge, lots of drinks, ended up coming back to your room with…

With Ensign Linda Swanson, who is currently lying next to you, asleep. You grumble a little bit to yourself, not wanting to leave the warmth of the bed, but wanting to put a log in the fireplace to get some heat going.

Swanson mumbles something in her sleep as she rolls over. Her metal prosthetic, surprisingly warm for a piece of steel, brushes against you. Looking at your wristwatch, you see that it is a little after 11:00 in the morning. You figure that the resort staff probably have some kind of breakfast ready in the main area. You figure there are a few things you can do to start the day off.

>Panic.
>Wake Swanson up. See if she remembers any details about last night.
>Get out of bed and start a fire in the fireplace. It’s too damn cold in the room right now.
>Go downstairs and get some breakfast.
>Turn on the television. You’re curious what’s on the news.

This is a quest that takes place within the universe of Paper Mario, specifically the first two games, in a period of relative peace. You're not Mario, but if you play your cards right, you might end up as famous as the brothers. Collect the seven macguffins, hone your skills as the best at something, or just do sidequests all day - the choice is yours.

At the end of every update, I'll give you a few options to vote on, with a ten minute period to vote. Most times you can write in your own options, but I'll veto it if it won't work or if it's too outlandish. Rolls, when asked for, will be done on a d20. You have three chances to succeed, one roll per person. Rolls are made after the ten-minute voting period. Good luck and have fun!

It's the middle of the night in Flower Fields, you're in the center field of the place, and you're pretty darn upset right now.

Earlier in the day, a sly trickster by the name of Hazy Pinto gave you a bite of his strange celery, and for some reason, you took the bait. This ended up with you in a catatonic state for most of the day, and you discovering your tie with all your stuff was missing when you came to.

Luckily, you were able to snap someone else out of the trance as well; a Crazee Dayzee by the name of Mayzee. You've just given her a handful of the herb that cures this state and sent her back to free the dozen-or-so other creatures that are like that around Hazy's tent, which he's since abandoned. Spooky enough, she said she never ate the celery that you did.

You know Hazy's not up that path, and he hasn't left for Toad Town. Unless he can scale terrible mountains in less than a day, he's got to still be here somewhere, with that celery and all your stuff. Time to get searching.

>A. Ask some of the creatures in this field if they've seen Hazy
>B. Ask the liar flower if he's seen Hazy
>C. Search one of the other paths for him (East, Southeast, Northwest, West, or Southwest)
>D. Wait for Mayzee to come back from the Northeast path
>E. Go back to Toad Town briefly (though it's night and not a lot of places will be open)
>F. Something else

You are the former United States Navy warship USS HOEL, now returned as a shipgirl and ready to kick Abyssal ass!

Right now, you were practically being assaulted from by Dace, as subs like her were wont to do. As always, she was dressed in that swimsuit of hers that all subs seemed to wear, though at least she was also wearing a jacket to preserve some form of modesty.

"What do you want, Dace?" You groan.

"Awwww, can't an old friend just drop by and say hi?" Dace giggles as one of her hands hovers dangerously close to your chest.

"Yes." You quickly slap her hand away. "I don't recall groping being involved, too."

"Awwww, such a moodkiller." Dace pouts, her arms still wrapped around you from her hug from behind. "What would happen if Annapolis saw us like this~?"

The world's fucked up.

All of a sudden, every human on the planet has gained the power to "assimilate" other people's traits by eating them, and grow larger, stronger.

---

You've decided to talk to Thirteen (your hot-headed leader and bro of the Stadium area which you've just taken over) about going to the remaining Hospital Mafia and arranging and alliance. If Melchior is around that area, they would be in need of help which the Stadium could provide.

---

"That could work." he said. "Although we'll likely need something to barter with. They're still, you know. Motherfuckers."

You nodded. "They like Hospital stuff, yeah? How about we just go in and get them more things?" you suggest.

He scratched his chin and looked aside. "Yeah, that could work." he replied. "But there is an issue with that."

He inhaled deeply and then sighed, as he looked over the Stadium, with people busy doing their jobs.

"We can raid the Hospital. Normally, there wouldn't be an issue with that. But we still need defenses back at the Stadium."

"Why?" you asked. "What do we have that anyone wants? Plus, Melchoir is just one guy, if people just run and spread out, I'm sure that they can outmaneuver him temporarily until the main forces come back."

"Chugger." Thirteen then stated. "She's enormous. And slow."

"She's a problem." he finalized. "She works half as fast as anyone else, and needs ten times more forces to keep her fuckhuge ass safe. She's way too high-maintenance, Blake. Too much of a liability."

"This... This is why we had tests back when Graham was around." the Eater continued. "Do you know how difficult this is now, for me and everyone? Given the cost she means to us, and her size, from a purely practical perspective, it's just best for the community for us to eat her."

He sighed again. "But she still means something to us. To you, especially. She isn't just some stranger."

"Blake. I don't want to lose Chelsea." he added. "But if eating her means saving ten more of our own in the long run, it's something we're going to have to do."

"You know her better than the rest of us." Thirteen sighed out. "And your opinion means a lot to me. What should we do with her?"

>Eat her now, to relieve the Stadium and make them stronger at the same time.
>Suggest to invest (and risk) time and resources into further developing and training her teratoma ability to make her useful.
>Use her as bartering material with the Hospital Mafia to get a profit (she's worth at least her value in meat which is a massive amount) and leave her fate to them.

“Christians, hasten to help your brothers in the East, for they are being attacked. Arm for the rescue of Jerusalem under your captain Christ. Wear his cross as your badge. If you are killed your sins will be pardoned.”- Pope Urban II

It is 1095, and the Pope has declared the First Crusade! The Byzantine Emperor called upon Western Christendom for help, and has now been answered. Soon, the noble heroes of the Catholic realms will head towards Anatolia and the Holy Lands to save their eastern brethren.

The Players will take the roles of the leaders of this glorious endeavour. This will be a quest with nation building tendencies. There will be multiple player characters acting at once (hopefully at least somewhat) cooperatively.

The game is planned to consist of four Acts:

>Act I: Preparation
Wherein our heroes ready themselves for the ordeals to come with varying degree of success.
>Act II: Pilgrimage
Wherein our heroes attempt to reach the Holy Lands without being shipwrecked, excommunicated, or accidentally starting a war with our Byzantine allies.
>Act III: Crusade
Wherein our heroes battle the heathen hordes of the Seljuks and Fatimids and try to take back the rightful lands of Christendom whilst also surviving.
>Act IV: Spoils
Wherein our heroes negotiate, bargain, plot and bicker like churlish children.
>Random Info

Although starting during Act I will be beneficial, players may join at any point.

Dice rolls are always d100s. 1 and 100 are the only crits.

I will reward role play. Getting into character and saying how you're doing something will always be given slight advantages over simply stating an action. Tactics in battle will be particularly susceptible to this.

Updates by me will likely be approx once a day.

There can only be one King of Jerusalem. You are all competing with each other.

There can only be a King of Jerusalem if the crusade is successful. Don't compete too much.

PATRICIAN ELECT CONRAD DODONI

With the backing of the Holy Pope, you find it pretty smooth sailing getting money out of all sorts of churches and monasteries. How can they refuse the will of the Bishop of Rome himself? The gold pours in.

>Lose 1 Piety
>Gain 2 Wealth

Your procession of military glory is inspiring to say the least. Fortunately, you had a perfect day for it, with armour glinting in the sun and a light breeze to flutter the banners. Quite the sight. You manage to gather a healthy helping of new recruits, including some decent crossbowmen.

>Gain 41 crossbows
>Gain 60 levies

BISHOP ESTEBAN

You manage to make the acquaintance of a naval man from Barcelona. He insists he is not a pirate, as his career of raiding Muslim shipping travelling between Spain and North Africa isn't piracy at all, what with them being heathens. Whatever your view on the semantics of the situation, he's an experienced sailor and has a compliment of ships that he's willing to put in your service.

>Gain follower: Hernan de Barcelona (ally, 200 levies/4 warships, skill 5)

You sent your deacon to negotiate with the Byzantines. While doing your bidding, he seems to have struck up a friendship with the Patriarch of Constantinople, who has pulled strings within the Imperial bureaucracy to aid your cause.

>Gain 3 Favour
>You may travel by land within Byzantine lands without trouble.

ALEXANROS CALLIMACHOS OF PHILADELPHIA

Travelling to Hungary is not a simple matter, and your attempts to do other things while travelling bog you down. You make little progress in terms of movement, but a decent amount in terms of raising your prestige and status.

>Gain 1 Prestige

Your assurances and clear plans to mitigate any side effects caused by large bodies of armed men to Imperial lands greatly relieve the minds of many in Constantinople's administration. They look much more favourably upon you and your party.

>Gain 2 Favour

MICHAL BALDONI

You manage to secure significant quantities of provisions for your journey, as well as sources that can supply you later on as the campaign continues. The solid meals and promise of them continuing does wonders for the spirits of your men.

>Gain 2 Morale

There is no shortage of men willing to teach you about war. The harder choice is which to listen to. You could attempt to improve your management and leadership of your men, letting the same men fight as a more effective force, or you could take lessons on literal combat- how better to fight personally. After all, it'll be a dangerous place out there, and you don't want to go all that way to be cut down by some arab.

>Choose one of the following:
>Gain 1 skill
>Lose 79 levies, gain 79 infantry
>>
>>940525

AUSTINU CAVALLO

You try to get as many archers and crossbows into your forces as you can. They're powerful weapons after all, and who needs knights when a crossbow can punch through their armour?

>Gain 56 crossbows
>Gain 78 archers

DUKE PIERRE OF ORLEANS

Your men do well for themselves. They've found both a horse merchant and a travelling doctor and his assistants. Your funds have been well spent, and the extra horses will let you field an extra unit of horsemen.

>Gain 48 horsemen
>Lose 48 infantry
>Gain Follower: Dr. Leo Dubois (companion, healer)
>Lose 1 Wealth

Your speeches rally the common men to your banner, but it takes the application of a little more of your subtle efforts to attract the higher classes. Fortunately, you're adept at that side of things too, and arrange some smaller meetings with local gentry who might be interested in fighting as knights for you.

>Gain 94 levies
>Gain 16 knights
>Lose 1 Prestige

(You're being a bit cheeky with your orders here, telling people to 'do this' and then 'also do that' as a single order. I've let it slide here seeing as you'd spent prestige and wealth, but actions should be a single thing, not two disguised as one.)

SIR STEPHEN SZUR

Your humble approach to a monastery impressed them with your piety and devotion to god. A monk experienced in working with the sick and injured joins your cause without you having to ask twice.

>Gain Follower: Brother Ladislaus (companion, healer)

You embark on a training regimen, and put some funding towards some better armour for your poorest equipped soldiers. It's amazing what a solid helmet can do for a man's confidence.

>Lose 60 levies
>Gain 60 infantry
>>
>>940529

EZEKIEL, THE GLASSBREAKER

You buy supplies for your men. They are particularly happy you've made sure to get a decent supply of beer. Food, after all, is very important to such men as yours, many of whom have to skip meals whilst on the run, or been fed poorly while they rotted in jail cells.

>Gain 1 Morale
>Lose 1 Wealth

You spend some time training your men, getting them into as good a shape as possible. The progress towards having a military force rather than a mob continues.

>Lose 41 levies
>Gain 41 infantry

(The oath wasn't an action, you could do it whenever. Also, you can't burn Morale or Skill on actions (if I said you could at some point I've changed my mind and forgotten about it), skill represents your personal combat ability anyway.)
BARON ECKHARD VON GUELDERS

You manage to get yourself hired to help out some less financially minded individuals, and make a tidy profit out it, swelling your war chest.

>Gain 2 Wealth

(Using the oath isn't an action, just deduct the prestige and wealth and remember you did it for later, maybe whack it on the end of your profile or something. As you wasted an action, you can take three next turn, remind me in your turn post just in case I forget and accuse you of cheating.)

COUNT BIRINUS PERCY

You buy up all sorts of goods, from food to flints and ropes, that a travelling army may need. With the kit and supplies they need, your men will have a much easier time as they set out.

>Gain 1 Morale

Your new idea proves a mediocre success. Devon is far too spineless to complain about it, but hunting bandits in the woods leads to a few of your men getting arrows in them as they go about the business of rounding up the ruffians.

>Gain 1 Wealth
>Lose 16 levies
>Lose 14 archers

Delilah tries to hide the grim smile on her face when you raise your hand, offering yourself up. At least this way you'll know what she's getting in to, instead of blindly putting your trust in this guy.

"Whoa wait, you're actually going to-..." Crockett looks between the two of you, unsure of who to address. He's waiting for some clue that this is a joke, a big reveal that this was all just a dark prank. When neither of you offer up an alternative he faces forward, looking out the window and giving you full lead of this. "You really going to do it here?" he mutters, still not sounding sure that this is really happening.

"I don't care where." Delilah says, chest starting to heave noticeably. Shaking your head, Crockett looks around the block to orient himself better. Pointing to his life, he gives you short directions.

"There's a bunch of old apartments this way, they recently built a new parking garage but the old one should still be open. Should be rather empty too." Crockett says nothing more after this, joining in the silence. The small garage comes up soon enough and you pull in, only five other empty cars scattered inside. The Buick finds its place tucked away in a corner, away and private for what you can accomplish right now. Delilah steps out, needing a break from the overwhelming scent.

As you unbuckle Crockett decides to take the chance to question you in private, asking "So you're actually going to let her do it? You're going to let this girl just... chomp... on you?" Too tired to even an attempt to explain you just give a nod and apathetic shrug.

"Can't believe I'm letting this happen..." he says, stepping out from the vehicle. "Use the backseat as long as you promise not to make a mess. Try to make it quick too, I don't like being out in the open like this."

...

[1/2]
>>
With Crockett taking yet another cigarette outside, you sit with Delilah in the Buick. "Thank you." she says, letting you take this in your own time. Unlike the investigator outside, you don't really have any good and fresh wounds for her to use. Borrowing her knife, you grit through the pain of the new two inch cut spanning across the back of your arm. Presenting it out Delilah wastes no time at attaching herself on, mouth covering the cut before any could drip off. Being just a shallow cut you try to rest back and let her go, a feeling of calmness running out from your chest. Her grip holds your arm in place but doesn't feel threatening, not yet.

Peering out the window you just catch sight of Crockett turning away. This is gross to an outsider, of course it is. You shouldn't feel so easy with this, yet here you are.

"Ummm..." Delilah draws out the words, pulling back enough for you to see red tinted teeth. Red tinted from you, something that should be a queasy thought. "I'm trying not to take forever but it's going so slooow... if I take too long will you tell me?" The words have an almost unnatural pep to them and her shaky breath warms your cut.
