Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkworld creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.

They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.

For many years, Dark Gate Academy has held back the forces of the Darkworld, kept this unspeakable evil contained within their walls. But a dark cloud approaches, and times are about to change. A new chapter in the tale of Dark Gate Academy is about to begin.

The ground continues to rumble beneath you. Tsuki and Taiyo are so far away, and yet you can feel their fighting from here... the presence, the raw power... just how strong are these two? Were they really this powerful the entire time, and they were able to keep it hidden? Tsuki always boasted and bragged that he was holding back in fights... but you figured it was just big talk from a cocky teenager. You never expected it to be true... especially not to this staggering degree. The rest of the group led by Saki eventually catch up to you as you stand in the plains with the angelic Eos. Chihiro is the first to react.

“Oh, and just who is this beautiful, busty beauty?” she gasps in amazement. “Did someone achieve their angel form? It looks marvelous!”

“Angel?” Eos asks in a graceful tone. “No, I am a demon.”

“A demon?” Saki asks, warily gripping her lance. “You don't look the part... and you're not attacking us...”

“Plus, she looks positively... heavenly!” Chihiro swoons. “Why Sayeka, she looks how you would as an angel!”

“I suppose that's flattering...” Sayeka gives a small smile.

“Nobody here is an angel,” Amaya sighs. “She's Taiyo's daughter, a demidemon.”

“Another demidemon?” Saki mutters. “This is getting weirder...”

“You sound disappointed Blondie,” a limping and injured Gado remarks. “You must really be lusting after that angel form.”

“I-I don't lust after anything!” Amaya blushes, before shamefully turning away from Gado.

Gado smirks. “Heh, sure you don't.”

“Regardless, I must join my father,” Eos nods. “I hope that our next encounter is a happy one.”

“Thank you for saving us,” Makoto smiles. “You... you really are an angel.”

Makoto blushes as he smiles at Eos, causing Chihiro to grab him and hug into his arm.

“Let's not get carried away now! There's plenty of lovely angels surrounding you already! There's the lovely lady Sayeka, myself...”

“Please let go of me,” Makoto mutters. “My point is that regardless of her apparent nature, your actions show that you're truly a pure soul.”

“Thank you,” Eos nods.

Eos flies off with tremendous speed, as Sae cracks her knuckles. “Hey, are we done talking here? Because I've got some demons that I wanna fill with steaming hot lead!”

Anri fills Saki and the rest on the information you learned from Eos moments ago, the fact that Taiyo and Tsuki were once the one Archdemon, split into two halves, and now the dark and light halves are fighting.

“We can't let them fight much longer,” Saki remarks.

“Indeed...” Sayeka explains. “I may not be able to see them in my visions, but I can see the results of this battle. The aftermath will be... devastating.”

“I don't think even they know the destruction they're causing...” Akuro mutters. “This power... it's really scary.”

Saki nods. “Exactly. We can't allow for this fighting to go on any longer. One way or another, we have to put a stop to it... I have my own ideas on how to handle the situation, but what are your thoughts, Kazuma?”

“Why do you always ask me about this stuff?” you question. “My advice can't be that helpful.”

“You knew Taiyo and Tsuki,” Saki explains. “And while Makoto is the head of your class, he's not much of a tactician. As leader of the club, your input is the most useful here.”

>The both of them are set in their ways. The only way to stop this is by fighting back.
>There's a chance we could reason with them, Taiyo especially. We should try that before anything else.

"Ah, yes!" you exclaim in satisfaction.
There are few things that you, Galvanio de Amicis, enjoy as much as a lucid dream.

Those rare occasions in which you feel like you’re totally in control of the world, just like in your precious econometric models. There’s no room for multicollinearity or omitted variable bias here, all the tests for the signs of the coefficients are significant, and to top it off, the adjusted R-squared is consistently high.

That’s exactly the way you feel, taking a stroll through the enchanted forest of your dreams. You’ve been walking for what felt like hours now, but you don’t feel tired in the least.

“I wonder where I have seen this place before,” you think out loud. “Was it Switzerland? Or perhaps Germany? Or maybe some place in the United States?”

The more you think about it, the more you feel like you’re off target. And yet there you are, in a place so familiar and so strange. And what’s with the heavy clothing you’re wearing? You can’t quite see it, but it feels like you’re carrying a bag of bricks.

You already resolved to take a look at yourself in a mirror, or, failing to find that, in the closest reflective surface, perhaps a body of water. You’ve tried to make one appear for a while now, but with no success.

“Oh well, I guess lucidity only goes this far. I’ll be more than happy if I can see some busty, sexy lady before I wake up,” you concluded.

Last night, you played some fantasy MMO and then went straight to bed. You’re starting to consider whether or not that played a part in the lucid dream you’re living, and you suppose there’s a fair chance for that.

Immersed in your thoughts, you barely notice someone coming towards you in the distance. It’s still quite far away, so you can’t make out its figure precisely. If this place wasn’t so deserted, you wouldn’t have even noticed it, but you’re standing on a elevated section of the road, and the forest itself was thinning out.

In conclusion, it was a combination of fortuitous circumstances that allowed you to spot the incoming figure.

You are Lars, a young adult, average in nearly all aspects of life, still living with your parents, and you've just moved to a new city!

Background:
A couple days ago, your dad got news that he was being transferred by his job, effective immediately. Since you're a piece of shit that still lives with his parents, they have no choice but to take you with them. Any plans you thought you had for your future are no longer viable.
Rather than reading up on the new city you're moving to, you spend your last night in your hometown drinking with your childhood friends, lose your phone, and spend all but $150.00 dollars of your savings. The next morning, you board a plane to your new city, pass out in the cab from the airport, and wake up in your new house with no knowledge of your surroundings.

Rules:
1. Options will be given for each post, but you may elaborate on the options to an extent. Some posts will allow write-ins.
2. Sometimes a roll will be required for an option. Details of how each roll works may vary.
3. In order to progress the story, time skips will sometimes be an option. In the case, Lars just goes to work, doesn't do any exploring, and maintains his social connections without making any new ones or deepening the ones he currently has.
4. In each update, I will answer a question about Lars's life before moving, to give context about how certain options could play out.

It's 2pm, January 1st, 2017, and you've just woken up in your new house, extremely hungover, what do you do?

A: Explore the new house that you've moved in to, seeing what the old owners left behind.

B: Go outside and explore your new neighborhood

Extremely disoriented at first, you manage to get off the ground. The house is almost completely empty because the movers won't arrive for another week with your family's furniture.
You start by looking around the first floor. The living room is completely empty except for the blanket you were lying down on. You walk back in to the kitchen, where the old neighbors left their fridge and microwave. No food though. Back on the other side of the living room, you enter what must be your new bedroom. All that's in here are some coat hangers and an old landline telephone mounted on the wall. It works.

You make your way upstairs to explore the second floor. Nearly the entire floor is taken up by your parent's bedroom, which is still empty, because your parents are driving to the new house, rather than flying as you did. On your way back downstairs, you notice a small door on the wall, which leads to a crawl space/storage room. The ground is littered with books, and dozens of hand written notes, all in Chinese. You take some back to your room, in case you encounter anybody who will be able to translate them.

Finally in the back of the kitchen you find the staircase to the basement. It's unfinished, and smells of dust and mildew. You find that there is no washing machine, so you will have to go to the laundromat, at least until your parents get one. In the corner, behind a table there is another door, locked with a deadbolt. You try to get it open, but there's no use. Your parents probably have a key.

It's getting close to 5pm, and you're getting hungry. You need to figure out a way to get dinner. Do you..

A:Order a pizza with your landline phone, and spend a good chunk of the $150.00 that has to last you until you can get a job
B:Walk down the street until you find a restaurant/convenience store/grocery store (specify direction)

Your name is Rose Selgiro. You are about four years old, and are considered a prodigy by everyone. You don't get the big deal really. Math has always come easily to you, as has music and most other subjects.

You have just woken up in this room.

The walls, floor, and ceiling, are a plain white. A small light hangs from the ceiling. You see no door, however, you do spy two metal grates on the wall.

A paper lays on the floor. (See img. )

Your last memories are of opening an anonymous christmas present. All it said was that it was "From a friend".

...
...
...

Alright. Well. Hm. What do you-

Suddenly, a voice calls out. You can't determine the source, and it has been run through a robotic filter. Obscuring the speaker's gender.

"Oh, I see you have woken up! "
"Now that you have awakened... "
"I want to play a game. "
"You see that paper on the ground? Pick it up and read it. "

"Ah, you look confused. Odd, considering that this is your favorite thing in the world... Math. It may not look like it, but it is. I want you to solve the problems. If you fail to do so within 24 hours... You and your family will perish. You will find a pencil in your pocket. "

...What...
...What do you do?

Given each circled group of symbols is arranged similar in form to an adjacent set of symbols I assume we'll need to fill in the missing symbols to complete the puzzle and move to the next test or break free

the upper right seems to be some kind of hint at the flow of things forming e a weird number system, base 7, where the line that curves down from the upper right indicates a roll over to the next place value (with the "zero" symbol outside of the number line, and place values expanding to the right instead of the left.)

The middle problem seems to be addition, the example outside seeming to say 1+1=2, and the one inside saying 1+10= 11 which would be represented by two rounded corner rectangles tied with a bar.

I think the bottom one is division, with the example saying 4 / 4 = 1, so the problem in the bubble would be 4 / 2 = 2 (don't seem to have any way to represent fractions, unless that's what the first one is, so that has to be the order of the operators) so put a wonky lambda at the end of the empty leg.

The top has me stumped though: 0 something 6 equals 1 (or 6 something 0 equals 1) just doesn't make sense for any operators that I know of. x plus y mod 5? x times y factorial? Both sound pretty stupid to me.
>>
>>977603
>>978772
Oh, wait...6 to the power of zero would be 1, and likewise one to the power of 3 would also be one. Also sounds pretty stupid but at least it's all internally consistent and that's the best you can fucking do given these hints (I need to make a LaughingPostmodernists.png image for problems like this)

Welcome to the Diabolical Maze of Death.

Here, there are four camps on each side of the arena: BLUE camp, GREEN camp, YELLOW camp, and PURPLE camp. You can choose allegiance to any of the four camps, but the game can only start when all four camps have at least one occupant.

Assign your character a name, a camp, and a stat distribution. You have ten stats you can distrubute into five areas: HP, STRENGTH, DEFENSE, SPEED, and SEX APPEAL. The SPEED stat is particularly special because it decides how many spaces you can move on the map.

Movement is determined like this: you have four directions you can move in. UP, DOWN, LEFT, and RIGHT. You can choose to move any number of spaces in any direction, as long as it is within your range of movement (which is your SPEED stat.)

Your goal as an adventurer is to get to the BIG, SCARY VORTEX in the center of the maze and defeat the evil who lies within. Beware, as he has many EVIL EMMISSARIES sent out to attack. See those numbers in each room? Those are the NUMBERS OF EVIL.

If there are two numbers, then rolling either of them while inside their room will trigger a RANDOM BATTLE, where you will square off against one of the baddie's EVIL FORCES and have a chance to level up upon defeating them. After leveling up, you can distribute the amount of EXP the monster gave into any stat point of your choosing.

You can also battle members of opposing camps. If a member of an opposing camp is within a FIVE-SQUARE radius, you can attack him and duke it out.

But if you die, it's back to square one with all your stats reset to their defaults. So be weary.

Now create a character, and enter into the DIABOLICAL MAZE OF DEATH.

Oh, and I completely left this out.

If there's just ONE number in a room, then a random battle will happen if you roll either that number, or one number above or below it.

After what I promise to be the last of any major absences, welcome back to Brave New World. To answer what my surely incalculable amount of subservient fans must be wondering, my inactivity is due primarily to one simple combination, and that is Christmas and working retail. In all seriousness though, the last month or so has been nothing short of complete hell, but at last I'm relatively free, and I swear to make good on what I said last thread and henceforth update once a day at the absolute minimum, at least until I devise a more proficient schedule.

Of course since nothing is ever easy, my temporary third party form of archiving is down at the moment, and while I am not a total failure and thankfully have all the images saved should worst come to worse, all the posts themselves are currently unavailable to my understanding. The second the archive is very hopefully restored, I'm going to stop being a fucking idiot and immediately brute force a more permanent and stable solution. On that note, should anyone want a broad summary of the story so far or any specifics should you be fuzzy on certain details, please do not hesitate to ask, and as always, I am so sorry for all of my shortcomings.

All that being said, last time we were about to brazenly confront our main obstacle, Sycorax, keeping her busy long enough for Miranda to retrieve belongings she deems essential to your two's escape from Arcadia. Now, without further ado, let's begin our homestretch and finally end this eternal prologue.

(Btw, all research, wars, etc. are on hold - this is not the typical 'a month a turn' Y, S!-thread. Rather, it spans maybe a day or two and is mostly aimed at developing your rulers' characters.)
Yule, Christmas, An'Sha Quaelin, St. Dibbler's Day... Today marks a special holiday for almost all of the world (speaking of which... what's the name of our world, anyway? Any suggestions?). Kings and commoners alike go to bed filled with what the morning might bring, for gifts are granted to all - the cynical say it's friends and family, the hopeful say it's their nation's holy figure, but the presents are there regardless.

>Describe your holiday. Is it religious? Cultural? Are its roots long-forgotten? Is it a celebration of life, or a sinister night, with the ceremonies intended to ward off death? What are the traditions? What's the gifts like? You get the gist.
>Of course, Rulers, you have wishlists. What is your heart's desire? (Five items minimum. They must be items that would reasonably be able to fit in a room.)

Gifts are given and feasts at held.
The gifts can be anything as long as the point is giving. People tend to try to give something the receiver would want.

Last time the unexpected happened. For the training trip from hell was cut short by your surrender to a Necromancer bitch and with the aid of Mister Neutral after you made some rather...large mistakes. Which was why you ended up burning a boon and impressed a lot of bitches. After that you returned to boss to new knowledge and objectives. Where you were given much freedom in trying to hash out. Which was why you took a trip to a megacity and then went back to the city where the survivors knew you to increase relations. Which worked well until one day you decided to get lost ran into an interesting group. There you stole a pair of panties that were being fought over and returned them to their owner. A Crazy Crazy Ravager trying to find her fiance. After departing ways you somehow got lost again ending up at said Ravager's place. Before leaving once more and crashed in your apartment. Ignoring a bandit raid and after discovering you suck at building stuff. You trained their militia a bit and arranged an arms shipment.

After that you decide to get lost trying to find a good place to build a settlement. There you encountered a town in oddly good condition and with few threats. Yet for some reason the comms didn't work. Thus you ended up having to leave go back to your boss after noting its location.

At the boss's place meanwhile you found out that for some reason there was some strange event going on or 'holidays'. As the bots were decorated strangely, there were odd furniture and foods available.

Heinlein Station, 2511, one month before the Sprawl incident

Another dull day at work, another wasted night at the station's bar trying to pick up chicks and drowning your boredom in booze. At the end of it you're stumbling back to your quarters in the residential zone, alone as always. For the last 3 months this has been your routine, despite your hopeful expectations about station life when you were first assigned here. You thought maybe in space you'd get some excitement, but it's the same damn thing as back on Earth. Just darker, colder and lonelier.
You make a brief stop at a public bathroom on your way, taking your time on the latrine to contemplate quitting your job. With your...

> Law Enforcement
skills you could go back to Earth and get a just-as-crappy job, at least there you'd get to enjoy the sun sometimes. Or who knows maybe you could even find a date that doesn't try to convert you to Unitology.
Those thoughts are silenced when you hear a few thumping noises coming from the stall next to yours. Which is strange since all the stall doors were unlocked when you came in. In your semi-drunken stupor you decide to...

Anon charges up his ball of weird fire without being noticed and throws it to the tall fingerman, while the other one tries to understand what's happening you punch him in the face, really hard. Anon takes cover in case they do something, GG Banana tells you their reaction:

>They've been mildly damaged, at least the tall one, the one you've punched has began to cry in pain, he doesn't look like he wants to fight, although his tears are going upwards. Also the girl looked at you weirdly while doing all that manly stuff.

The tall finger gets up, and GG Banana tells you he's spawned a huge ass spear. Fingerman Pinky begins to talk:

>You're screwed.

>(Fingerman Index continues to cry)

What do? Ghost Banana Peel is back.

>A) Ignore Index and confront Pinky, trying to get him close and using the peel to make him fall, finishing him with another fire ball. Pinky has a huge range with his spear.

>B) Ignite the table with weird fire and throw it to Pinky, while he evades it throw another fire ball (it gets weaker everytime).

>C) Show Index your Scorpion Torso Girl poster to make him happy, hope Pinky doesn't make you Swiss cheese.

Roll the dice and make a decision.

“A magician’s job isn’t just to beat her enemy.
It’s to give others the strength and courage to push forward no matter the obstacles,
And to show those who stand against the darkness that they never stand alone!”

The dark room is illuminated by the brilliant gold of the spell gathering at the girl’s garish wand.

“[ SHINING SMASHER ] !!!”

A huge beam of light explodes from the magical focus, surging over a second black clothed magician who screams and yells her curses melodramatically as she’s overwhelmed.

Two girls, one Mika Myrri and one Suzu Sigilind, sit in their pajamas in front of the television, starry-eyed. Despite it being midnight the former has practically jumped on the latter in a hug, dragging her along as she sways back and forth with lively energy.

“Suzy, Suzy!! That was so cool!”

The second girl nods emphatically, her agreements muffled behind her friend’s arms.

The two girls are watching the season finale of ‘Magical Shining Solar’, a cartoon that dramatises the jobs that magicians undertake. Though initially aimed at children, the series turned out much more popular than expected even among teenaged and older audiences.

They stay enraptured by the screen for a minute before a door opens in the hallway behind them. Out walks another girl in pajamas with a white towel around her neck, her recently-dried dark brown hair loose and falling below her waist in length.

“Come on you two, go to sleep,” Alexis Aeron scolds, “we’re going early tomorrow.”

“Yes mum~”

“Call me that again Mika and I’ll shoot you,” she replies, with no hint of malice despite her words.

The energetic girl laughs and gets to her feet. The show is playing its slow ending theme so she turns off the television and drags her younger friend with her, and the three of them head to the bedroom.

Most of the jobs trainee teams can take or get assigned to involve dealing with small Fog Shards relatively close to the city safe zones. Whatever those dark purple pieces of crystal are made of emits the Fog, and over time even small ones become nests from which Fog-Creatures form. They’re pretty common, so there’s always a need for teams to get rid of them before they turn into bigger problems.

Give one more time and it’ll form a Fog-Barrier, which is a little piece of unreality with the Shard at its heart.

Barriers are odd things. The area within them doesn’t correspond with their size outside, and it’s normal for the inside of a Barrier to not be immediately hostile to a magician that enters. These spaces follow their own strange rules, and look very different from what you’d expect from something made of that dark mauve-coloured gloom.

The inside of this one, for instance, is a picturesque forest.

Your sight is filled by the browns of tree trunks and roots and the rich greens of the leaves and the undergrowth at your feet. The four of you walk, craning your necks around wide-eyed at more plant-life than any of you have seen in your lives, ignoring the crunching and snapping from branches underfoot in favour of distant birdsong and rustling of unseen animals darting through bush.

“You know, when they aren’t just super weird, Barriers can be pretty cool,” Mika says absently.

You’ve had very little experience with this kind of thing, but you nod in agreement anyway.

This mission was for a medium-sized Barrier located not-very-close to the city’s safe zone so you expected something a little less peaceful. Though from what you’ve heard these spaces may as well actively defy expectation, so maybe you were being a little silly.

The four of you still have your Gears equipped and hold your weapons ready, but nothing accosts you while walking through the forest. The trees grow sparser and the undergrowth disappears readily, and soon you reach a large clearing.

In front of your group is the entrance to a wooden-walled town, an arched entryway with the top decorated by a symbol of a large, many-branched tree above a perfect circle. From past those walls come the sounds of cheer and revelry - a festival?

The symbol, at least, probably refers to the tree you can see from here; an absolutely huge trunk reaches up into the sky from somewhere in the town, making a leafy canopy all on its own.

Walking closer, you spy the figure standing by the entrance.

It’s a wooden doll, only a little shorter than your height and with stocky proportions. It’s wearing a multi-coloured dress that is more tassels than cloth and a flower wreath on its head. Your team approaches cautiously, and the doll turns its head towards the four of you.

“!Tivvgrmth slmlivw erhrglih! !Xlnv rm, vmqlb gsv Drogrmt Uvhgrezo zh blf kovzhv!”

You look to your left and see Suzu, looking as confused as you feel, and turn to your right to look at Alexis.

“... Let’s go inside. Just be ready in case something happens.”

The four of you move to enter the town slowly, but when passing the threshold all of your Gears disappear and are replaced with different outfits.

Alexis is in a perfect black and white tuxedo with red bowtie, her hair drawn back showing her forehead and her face partially covered by a silver ornate half mask.

Mika is in a horrifyingly flashy hawaiian shirt dominated by bright colours, large pitch black aviator sunglasses, and thankfully less absurd khaki shorts.

Suzu finds herself in a light green and white ballroom gown with a tiara on her head, the outfit’s skirt inconveniently long and dragging behind her over the dirt and grass.

You picture a sad haremhorn, grabbing long steel bars from behind it as you hear the news
about Captain's arrest, from behind the low glass table at Trash's apartment. Kneeling
over your recharging pillow, you can't help but look at your dull reflection at the tea cup with
more than a hint of sadness.

"She was absolutely, positively fucking framed." You turn to Trash squatting at the left
side of tht table, who looks pretty serious as the What stands over her head. "Seriously; it's
like they are not even trying. Why the fuck would White send that shit if she had an inside
agent ready to blow this shit apart?"

"Aparently, because himehorns are that stupid." At your right, Vaal is shrugging. She
turns to the still hornmother, who's looking straight at her holding a cookie into her mouth.
"It's sarcasm, sweetie." She pats her head between the horns.

"What now?" You ask, between sadness and confusion. "Who's going to stand between
them and the Judges now?"

"Don't forget Difos is back." Trash points out, as she takes a cookie from your plate. "She's
got her own crew at the himmie's. They'll be there until Captain's trial, and a lot of their
neighbours volunteered to look after them."

"Will that be enough?" you ask, with a hint of hope.

"To be dead, dead honest?" Trash shakes her head. "Not sure."

"Is there anything we can do... well better put, should do? How did you manage to get your broadcast through Trash? Do you know of any sort of evidence that might have been left behind by the person who really enabled white's transmission?

Perhaps it's best to just leave the politics to Difos and focus on getting the final interviews done. We'll need to get a hold of Lumina so we can ask her about what to put on the mechanics portion, and get things set up for the combat and piloting portion. if we have some paper and pens I can start writing out some of the exam questions myself... anything I'm forgetting?"

Also we've recharged Nielly haven't we?
>>

You let your elbow over the table and your tilted head over your open hand. Looking away. "Is
there anything we can do... well better put, should do?"

"Do the interviews at Captain's pan, before they turn the eggs into souffle." It's the voice across
the static, overlapping Trash's as the templar shrugs and moves her lips. Turns out, Nielly
eats a lot of batteries. "If any psycho tries to get in, we'll get to see how Vaal makes sashimi."

"World to Toasty, did it fry now?"

"Nielly's back." you nod at Trash, she opens her mouth in comprehension. The black
headset is so big it feels like your head is being biten by puffy pillows. "Trash?" She looks at
you again. "How did you manage to get your broadcast through?"

"In ways none of those fucks could dream to mimick."

"She blackmailed everyone." Vaal interferes, grinning.

Trash glares at her. "Oh come on what the fuck!"

"What!" Vaal jumps, pouting. "She needs to know, and for your information, you aren't the
only one who can do that."

Trash grumbles.

"Do you know of any sort of evidence there might have been left behind by the person who
really enabled White's transmision?"

"Forget it, out of your reach." Trash says. "If there were clues or leads they would have
been broadcasted to fuck Captain in the horns. Most likely they don't have a clue, either."

"As for the ones in charge of the screens, they've sent some to jail on the same charges
as Captain." Even if slightly, Vaal grimaces. "This is the kind of things you don't have to
hear about, Roomba."

"Like what?"

Vaal glares at Trash across the table, yet without hostility. You stand your chin over your
palm, now looking at the table.

"Perhaps it'sbest to just leave the politics to Difos-"

"WAH?"

"-and focus on getting the interviews done." You close your eyes in a mini nod. "We'll ned to
get a hold of Lumina so we can ask her about what to put on the mechanics portion, and get
things set up for the combat and piloting portion."

"Pff, easy as shit." Trash says.

"If we havesome paper and pens I can start writing out some of the exam questions
myself... anything I'm forgetting?"

"Ask our candidates for their mottos and what would they like to have in the Friend." It's the
voice across the static, you open a palm towards the talking Vaal as your eyes flicker
upwards. "Personality profiling is very important, sometimes even more than skill. A
strong gun won't matter if we can't aim it."

"Hmm, sounds good." You nod to nowhere. "Any other ideas, Nielly?"

"Start with Vaal. She seems interesting, and she's already here. How does she look like?"

"Anything else, Toasty?" You turn you head to Trash, who's already standing. "Can't believe
my head's still fucking bloody."

"Those red stripes on your hair look good on you!"

"Vaal what the FUCK."
>>
>>974218
Go over and help Trash get all the blood out of her hair, and double check to make sure it's not her blood. A little head wound can case a lot of blood loss.

"Nielly is right though, we didn't get around to interviewing Vaal after Trash did we? And Nielly, did you want me to describe her appearance to you?"
