You were abducted while on your way to union negotiations for your father, a rich shipping tycoon. So far you've:

You walk out of the ship behind Vasquez. Being an officer doesn’t feel too different so far. The recreations center isn’t far from the docking area, for obvious reasons. You enter the same way you had before, but you take a turn for the officer’s area instead of staying in the main room.

A guard admits you. It looks more of a business place than bar, or at least a much nicer bar. The floors are cleaner and it’s less crowded. A crowd gathers near a row of consoles and view screens at one side of the room. A quick glance confirms your thoughts, recruiting and bids for contracts.

“Job terminals,” Vasquez says, “particularly valuable crew and jobs are over there. Ever need something more than cannon fodder, that’s the place. Anybody can pick up a gun and join a crew, but that doesn’t mean they can operate a warp core. Docs, engineers, navigators, hackers, you name it. If you can afford them, they’ll come. Sit down.” He motions towards an empty table, something unheard of in the common area.

“With the bigger ship, I only need more people. You’re going to need a whole squad. I’d recommend only getting two or three from the recruiting station and making them your ones and twos.” He motions towards the screens, “It’ll cement command and keep the rowdies from questioning you, though you don’t have to. You could always talk people into joining you. Keep a firm hand. I’m not saying be a dick, but if you let them push you around they might challenge you. You’ve seen the challenges.” He pauses for a second, “The command structure is pretty much the same as the ship’s. You’ll have a one, two, three, the list goes on. Whenever someone dies from a challenge or otherwise, the next is just moved up.”

He motions you to stand up and hurries to a gap that’s appeared in the crowd. “The captain will usually shill out enough to cover half the cost or 500 credits, whichever is less.” He slaps you on the shoulder and moves to his own console.

It’s eerily familiar in its layout, a merchant’s price list. There’s different sections for specializations: engineer, medic, combat specialist, hacker, the list goes on. Most got for about 500 credits each, but hackers and the more technical engineering type go for 1000-1500.

Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkworld creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.

They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.

For many years, Dark Gate Academy has held back the forces of the Darkworld, kept this unspeakable evil contained within their walls. But a dark cloud approaches, and times are about to change. A new chapter in the tale of Dark Gate Academy is about to begin.

“Hm, what do you think Rei would like?”

As you walk around the clothing store, Saki eagerly leading you along, you can't help but shrug. “I don't know... new running shoes?”

“No, Isamu is already getting her those... among other things,” Saki explains as you continue to wander, carrying a pair of bags in your arms as your girlfriend leads the charge. Christmas shopping in the mall of the town of Okane, a brief twenty minute train ride away from Dakugeto, but it's still more travelling than you're comfortable with.

I don't get it, do all humans buy this much for your weird custom?” Stranger asks.

“No, just Saki,” you reply.

I think it's incredibly generous!” Nina smiles. “I don't see why you too have such a problem with it.

“Ryoji, you look exhausted,” Saki mutters.

“I am exhausted,” you reply. “We've been wandering around this town since dawn! How many more gifts do you need to buy?”

“Ryoji, as head of class I have a duty to give gifts to everyone!” Saki smiles and beams proudly. “After all, we've done incredible work this year. We've achieved more than maybe any year in the history of the school, and with minimal casualties... sorry, Nina.”

“Nina says it's okay,” you relay the message from your head. “But don't you think you're going overboard? I get that you're rich, but don't forget that your parents cut you off.”

“Don't worry!” Saki replies enthusiastically, “This is all coming from my Christmas fund. Starting December 26th every year I begin saving up pocket money and money from odd jobs in a special fund to spend on Christmas gifts!”

“You're so sweet, it's sickening,” you mumble. “I was planning on just getting some cards.

“Cards?”

“At most.”

Saki pauses. “Well, if you're not buying anything, I guess I should make this quick. I still have to find something nice for Yamano-sensei, and I need to find something that's suitable for... Raiden.”

Saki falls silent in thought, pondering the previous days discovery. It was a harrowing sight, to see Raiden in such gory fashion. Thankfully, Agent White announced that he was in stable condition, and will be fit enough to receive visitors later in the day. Either you or Saki will probably have to have a talk with him very, very soon.

Saki puts the thought to the back of her mind and carries on with her shopping, bouncing between isles and stores in the mall like an excited puppy. She's expecting nothing from you this Christmas... making it all the better that you bought her gift ages ago. Of course, you'll open with the gag gift of a card and burger, but then you'll follow it up with the real gift. You bought her...

You and Nathan finish your mead with your compliments to the vendor for it - the drink isn't exactly to your taste, but you do have to admire Kurt Crossing's dedication to a theme at this point - and take Nate's hand.

"Where do they dance here?" you ask.

"This way." Your husband leads you by the hand to a cleared space in the square, past the market stalls and the bustle. At first you think unspoken agreement keeps people respecting the dance floor until you realize the bounds of the space have been marked out by lines of fresh flower petals.

Laughing, Nate tugs you across the border and into the energetic music, clashing and mixing with the musicians and performers in the festival around you.

Nate's pretty agile for a guy with one leg.

"Hey Bri," Nate says suddenly, curiosity coloring his tone. "Ask me something about myself."

"Like what?" you inquire, tilting your head with a smile. "If you think I'm missing out on the small-talk material we skipped early on in the relationship..."

Nathan laughs. "No, not that. But there /are/ things we still don't know about each other, because, well...we've been busy. And the important bonds between us were never about the past anyway, but now I sorta want to know. So I'll show you mine, you show me yours?"

"Sure!"

Diamond Raji is the name for the base soul that remains through lifetimes of consciousness.Yes.He can appear as a baby or a mosquito depending on how the dice rolls.His goal is to reach Nirvana or he may get trapped in the Pit if the dice wishes so.I will use red and green dice and take pictures of the outcomes.The color with the higher number determines a good or bad outcome.I will ask other player gods for scenarios and roll on them you then wager on green or red and if you lose you give up the dice to another idea i chose.I may also chose an audible and propose my own scenario at anytime.I will start the first lifetime.Lifetimes arent on relative timelines.

The screaming walls of flesh pulsate with hunger beyond your understanding, quickly closing in on you- The scream sounds more and more distorted as the room is consumed by the crimsom mass- You need to think, and quickly. You do not know what would happen if you died in a dream- but this can´t be a normal dream at all. You desperately punch at the ground, unable to think properly

You look around, and only see red. Red. Red of flesh, red of your soon to be corpse- But you were already dead.

Your crowbar.
You grab the crowbar, rushing to the planks you just know are loose, frantically struggling to pry them open as the walls start touching your elbows. Finally, the planks fly loose, being devoured by the accursed room, and you dive into the dark hole, sure that at least death by falling cant be worse than being eaten.
At least you hope. You´re falling. You soon lose sight of the room above as the flesh completely blocks the hole you fell through, and the only source of light as you keep falling into the shaft.

The photograph in your father's hand is of Michele, posing for a quick picture with Charlie's arm slung around her shoulder. Both of them show off matching grins, and had you not known better than they could have appeared as real high school sweethearts.

You avert your gaze away, trying to clear the burn that sears across your throat.

"Tried..." you mumble, fingertips tracing the raised lines that drag across your neck.

"Hm?" It takes a moment, but your father manages to pull himself away from the photo. He tucks away the photo back into the book, and with him back towards you the courage to speak up returns.


"Tried to...bring back," you know to speak up for him, but it doesn't stop the trembles traveling down your hands. For now you focus on them, calloused fingers crisscrossed with each other in attempt to hold steady. "Looked for...Michele. Wanted to...find her. Bring home."

"You mean when you er...left." His back remains facing you, feeling just as uncomfortable when remembering that night.

"Thought...I could..." You almost say, thought I could make things better again, but the thought makes you feel even guiltier. Not only had you failed in bringing Michele back, you begin to doubt whether or not you would have even tried had you not fought with your father that night. As much as you'd like to believe otherwise, you being to wonder if you ever would have had the motivation to try and look for your sister in any other scenario.


The idea that you could really be that selfish takes all your thoughts away, but with your father standing by silently you feel the pressure to continue.

"Looked...asked around. But...couldn't find...Michele." In time.

"Did what...I could." And it wasn't good enough.

"I tried..." You stop to catch your breath, eyes and face burning like your throat. A slight waver in your voice, you force yourself to look up to your father now, "I miss...her."


"Me too." It is all your father can say, and while you have no plans to say anything more right now there's another guilty feeling that tugs away. You miss her, but you know better than to have any hope of seeing her again. You got to find out what happened to Michele- your father has no clue that his only daughter is dead. Even if he won't admit it, there's still the small bit of hope that he will see her again. It's the same feeling you held on to, the same one you would still hold had you not stood at her grave.


You've got nothing left to say, nothing for now anyways. With a heavy sigh, your father rubs at the corner of his eyes as he heads to the door, pausing and waiting for you. Rising up from the bed, you take one last look at the teddy bear sitting against the pillows and blankets. A gift left for someone that is never going to return home, you can't help but wave goodbye as you leave.

You awaken to find yourself stiff and bruised lying in cold mud. The sound of gunfire and mortar shells echoes in your head, and you aren't sure if you are actually hearing it.Your head aches like it has an ice-pick lodged in it, and as you open your eyes they seer from the sun, or you think it's the sun.

The sky is splashed with an array of colors, swirling, changing and converging, at it's center is a great white light which must be the sun.

Your uniform is tattered and grimy, your rifle bent and split but with the bayonet still intact. Your canteen and belt pouch seem to be missing.

The landscape is blasted and broken as if from artillery bombardment, but the some of the craters seem... wrong, too deep or wide, no uniform pattern, as if each individual blast was from a different explosive.

And the ground, is not normal, mind boggling; a multitude of different stones, and coloured sands make up the whole of the earth as far as you can see. Huge monolithic structures dot the landscape near the edge of the horizon, and beyond them are mountains, that, if you weren't still sane, you would say to be made of starlight.

Great black clouds swirl together above you out of nowhere and the sky begins to crackle with lightning, and what appear to be meteors shoot across the sky in all directions.

The world was once whole. A battle ground for dozens of God's over the millions that lived. The faith of the mortals fed these great deities gave them strength to bend and change the physical world. The power to burn city's, split oceans, and even blot out the sun. Each god had there own sect of power, death, nature, ocean, fire and through consuming other gods they gained more power.

But humans are fickle and so are there gods. Panthenons Grew and faded and some even claimed to be pantokrator ruler of God's. And for a time they were until they too faded.

Through these many cycles of Gods a force slowly grew in power. One that wished to consume the world and all life within. Chaos in it's madness, following the destruction of a pantokrator, sundered the world into tens of thousands of pieces now floating in the either and feasted upon man and God alike.

You were one such god Excanib the just, the keeper of the afterlife. escaping death to the hands of chaos. you took what little faith you had and threw yourself into the either.

You came to a piece of the shattered world an island floating in ether. It was occupied by barbarians and centuars fighting for dominance; but it was free from the grasp of a god or the taint of chaos. So you spread your faith and converted much of the barbarians tribes including the head priest of the Harri clan and a young half centuar that you have dubbed your prophet by the name of Edith in the Cherusci tribe.

Your group is carried, led, and dragged, in a cathedral. Shadows dance in the ghostly glare of mana fire illuminating the vacant pews.

A hidden door leads to a spiral staircase descending, you are on it for a very long time. Finally, a wooden door, warped by age, groans as the paladin pulls it open -- the sound echoing as it makes the journey up. Gram is locked into anti-magic manacles and gagged, the rest of you are seated.

This was made for both new players and QMs in mind. By creating a second thread for players to hang around, new players can shine in their respective schools, and QM's would have an easier time processing larger turns.

This iteration's rules have been updated based on creator and player feedback.

In this quest you assume the role of an aspiring student who is about to enter the Mageknight Academy of Madrid. You must hone your skills, make some friends (and perhaps also some enemies) and fight battles in order to prove yourself worthy of graduating as a fully fledged Mageknight. Each year (every 100th turn) your character will be tested by the academy to see if your character is progressing well and meeting the Academy's high standards. After the 3rd year your character will head off into a their first mission for a final test.

How to Join:
1) New players must fill out their character sheets. The sheet must include the following information: Their character's full name, backstory, 1 basic spell and 2 other basic spells/skills/talents/traits/knowledge/etc. of your choosing.
Note: Characters created are assumed to be students of 18 to 24 years of age.
2) Spells are written as "Cast X" with "X" being the name or effect of the spell.
3) Skills and Knowledges are given prefixes depending on the tier. New players all have theirs set to "Basic" tier. This is also known as Tier 1, or T1.
Note: Anyone can join at any time. Latecomers and laggers are given bonus action points to catch up with the other players.

How to Play:
1) Post 2 actions and roll a 2d100. Each roll corresponds to an action.
2) All players must wait for the "TURN GO" post before they submit their actions. After which they must reply to that post with their chosen actions on this post.
3) After all actions are processed and a new turn begins, update your character sheet and include it to your actions post.

5) If both manages to block/evade or hit each other then the result is a draw.

3) Training an already learned skill will raise it further to the next tier once enough progress points are accumulated.
4) The progress threshold is based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,2,3,5,8)

Arthur sat up in his clinic bed, looking out of the window moodily, watching the exchange students to Amsterdam leave. Boarding the bus were most of the friends he had managed to make here at this academy- Zoot, James, and Gram.

Brought together by [The Light], they had gone through a harrowing night together, watching each other's backs, almost dying, and though he may have clashed with Gram at times, Arthur felt as if a bond had grown between them. And, now, they were soon to be gone.

As they stepped onto the bus, Arthur couldn't help but feel incredibly alone. He hoped that Gram had at least kept the Sea Glass he had given him, as a reminder of the time they had together. (Somehow, he knew he didn't...) He just... he just wished he could have spent more time with them. If he could've gone, he might have, but his family was here, in Spain, and he had to stay for them, and support them. Arthur gazed down on his friends' backs forlornly. Then, Arthur sighed, and turned away from the window.

The year is 2055. What you and I know as the United States no longer exists. A civil war has divided the land into three separate nations. The war was ended by the signing of the North American Peace Agreement in 2039, allowing each territory to become independent and establishing peace and free commerce. However, tensions have been rising between the nations, and thoughts of war are beginning to come to mind. The leaders of the nations will have to work incredibly carefully to preserve the peace and prevent war. Despite their serious disagreements, each nation depends on one another for certain natural resources, so causing a war between any of the nations, means no trade between them. This could pose a serious risk for the nations’ economies. In the end, only one of the nations will come out on top, which one will it be?

Oh shit nigger it's a /qst/ adventure thing. That I'm pretty sure I saw someone did before and I'm ripping them off but I can't remember the name so I can't credit them. Yea.

4 persons form an adventuring party in a nondescript generic fantasy land.
Each chacacter needs at least 1 player to be the voices in their head to tell them what to do n shit.

Just give yourself a name with the character's team color to identify which person you belong to. Ex: "Red Faggot"
The party's current mission is to raid an ancient tomb that has been taken over by bandits, but after being beaten in the last episode, they managed to escape to town to heal themselves. NOw the party must decide on what to do: Prepare for another trip into the bandit den, or mess around town and wasting time so nothing gets done.

One by one, passengers-to-be of the Eternal Maid all made their way up to the cruise. The cruise had a modest reputation in the past years, but had seen a surge in popularity recently through the endorsement from celebrities. Tourism to Japan was also very popular in the United States, so the humble Eternal Maid had set sail more in the past year than in recent years combined.
Like moths to a flame, several celebrities had made it their agenda to utilize the popularity of such a cruise ship and had decided to host a private event, where only the upper crust of Japan could attend.
However, as with any 0.1% society there are many enemies they make, and this one was no different. Those who wish harm on the upper-class, had placed a Trojan horse upon this cruise liner.
"Glad to have you on board Mr. Bateson, we have prepared your room in advance, here is your key card. If there is anything you'd like help with, we're always happy to help. Have a wonderful time aboard the Eternal Maid."
The man placed the key card in the inside pocket of his suit, that no doubt had been hand tailored to fit his rock solid physique, which was only complimented by his clean shaven head.
"Thank you."
What the receptionist of the Eternal maid didn't know was that there were already 'packages' of 'weapons' on board prepared specifically for this well dressed man to use in order to complete a task he had been given before getting on the ship.

The ship pulled up the ramps and slowly departed with 340 unaware people on board that there is a professional hitman amongst them.

"Welcome to the Eternal Maid. The pleasure cruise of the highest standards, where the seas bend to your will."

Furrowing your brows, the slogan of the ship passed briefly, yet annoyingly, through your mind. Walking down the halls of the newly redecorated ship, you made your way down to the main lobby of the ship where your idea of wasting some time until the main event in 5 hours, involved finding the nearest gambling hall, plunge yourself in the pleasures, pain and uncertainty of gambling. It certainly was something of a vice you had acquired in your years as a minor. Having wealthy parents opened up a lot of doors for you, but the one's you actually took a step through were questionable at best. Gambling in 198* is still forbidden, so you've had to resort to some underground parlours. 'Underground parlours' sounds very shady, but if you paid the right people for the rights to gamble, you were safer in the parlor than on the streets. Over time you even developed friends from those kinds of places that you wouldn't normally think of bad people, just that they had a knack for the thrill of a gamble.
Your parents were very displeased with your actions in the past, however, eventually they learned to turn a blind eye as long as you did not bring too much shame to the family name and did your civic duty to even out the bad reputation gambling might have brought you if the public ever caught wind of it.

At the lobby, all the walls were painted white with huge pillars resembling marble, stretching to the oval ceiling with flowers hung up as far as the eye could see. No doubt when the ship was being refurbished the plans were to make the lobby look like a wedding chapel you thought to yourself. In the center of the lobby you could see a crowd gathered to appraise two VIP guest idols who were invited on the cruise. As far as idols went they were as cookie-cutter as you could get. Dressed in pure white, very polite, something you'd see and think to yourself, "that could be the emperors daughter."
You did not follow the latest idol gossip much, but from what you could gather those two had a falling out recently and now they seemed on good terms and maybe even getting back together as an two girl idol group.
"Fascinating" you murmur to yourself, looking for the nearest help desk.
"Where can I find the nearest monetary entertainment," you asked, smiling wryly as you tried to get words 'monetary entertainment' out without letting out a chuckle.
Without hesitation and with a smile of having done this a million times the help desk clerk politely pointed you towards a long hallway.
"Right down this hallway to the right, you can't miss it."
It's not as if a ship like this was devoid of any illegal activity, the hosts of the event had arranged for quite a lot of activities that would not reach the ears of the common man. That is also one of the reasons why not a single member of media was allowed on board.
Having made your way inside the room where all the action took part, you were greeted by a thick cloud of smoke, a deafening silence only interrupted by the occasional 'click' of a casino chip clashing together with another chip and a quiet but deep murmur of old men under a dim yellow light. As far as you could tell, not a single person in here was out to make money. They were merely wasting away their time with the eyes devoid of any light. Decadence at it's finest.

"I'm not like them," you told yourself while sitting down at the edge of one of the blackjack tables. Next to a cute girl. A fortunate yet random coincidence, no doubt. Stealing an inconspicuous glance at the girl, you note to yourself her long blue hair and her petite height, while sitting down her feet didn't even reach the floor resembling that of a child. Resembling a child by her appearance she did, but her calm and elegant demeanor struck you opposite that of a child. Her every move was graceful and carefully crafted to be as elegant as possible.

On the other side of the girl was an empty seat and after the empty seat sat a typical CEO-type. Grey hair, cigar, in his 70's and probably weighing twice the average human despite being shorter than most. In contrast to the blue haired girl all his movements were rough like that of a wild boar.

The old cigar smoker merely laughed in what only was similar to a toad croak. "What does it matter? It's a game of luck isn't it? What would it matter to you if he joins or not?" With a casual dismissive wave of his stubby arm the man signaled for the dealer to continue.

With a 25 000 yen bet in front of each of us, the dealer first gave himself a face up card (8 of spades), then slid one towards you face down, then the girl next to you, then the old man. Then he placed a card face down in front of him and gave you each a card so that everyone only knew our own two cards and the one face up card the dealer had.

To visualize it better lets show it this way

Dealer gets 8spades -> you get King of hearts -> Girl gets unknown -> Oldman gets unknown -> Dealer gets unknown -> you get Queen of diamonds -> girl gets unknown -> Oldman gets unknown.

Bending your cards upwards from the table ever so slightly so that you could take another peek at your winning hand, you confirmed that the hand was practically won. All that needed doing now was to say 'stay' and you most likely would be the winner. Shooting a glance at the nearest waiter, you beckoned him with a wave of the hand to bring a drink. It wasn't every day that the first hand was this lucky. With silent nod the man went to the bar. At the same time the dealer also reached for bottled water under the desk. You thought it a bit unprofessional, but if the man was thirsty then why not. Within seconds though the dealer unfortunately spilled water over the desk. None of the players got drenched, but everyones cards however weren't so lucky. With a thousand apologies the dealer was escorted out.

"Ha!" The old man laughed. "What's this? Your little card counting plan falls apart and now you're running?"

It seemed quite obvious at this point even to a complete outsider like you that the girl was counting cards and you had ruined the equation by joining and threw her off. The old man didn't even try to hide his smirk at this point, he knew he had the girl cornered.

The girl however didn't let up, fully composed, calm and with grace she retorted "Oh? I thought I heard an accusation there, do you have any proof to back it up?"

"Whatever. You there, new guy" the old man waved his hand at you, "do we continue the game?"

At the center of attention it was now your turn. The old man was trying to burn a hole in your forehead with his stare, probably trying to judge whether you'd help the girl next to you. Not sure of what he's expecting, if you didn't have the winning hand the answer would be clear as day, but considering you have the winning hand...
The girl however seemed rather unfazed by all of the events, with her eyes closed, with an elegant posture in her chair, despite the tense situation where you have no idea what the stakes are. You judged that she seemed way too relaxed for this atmosphere.
