The year is 2173, humans have advanced, developing new technologies and exploring the Sol system at large, colonising Luna, Mars, Europa, Ganymede and Titan. A boom in economy and technology spurred humanity forward as each planet allowed for vast resource gathering and mining, scientific breakthrough and study. One of the biggest breakthroughs in living memory is the development of a prototype warp drive, allowing humanity to make jumps to neighbouring star systems and send and receive information over thousands of light years. The Hermes was the first company ship to be designed and fitted with the warp drive in attempts to travel to Gliese 581 to explore a new solar system. Sol waited with baited breath as The Hermes departed from Earth and made its jump, within hours reports were coming back through to earth. Inspection of one of the planets had signs of life. Photos from the orbit of one of Glieses planets had what appeared to be structures built tall, towering over the natural landscape. The possibility of meeting aliens within the foreseeable future excited and scared humanity, hours passed by and communications with the Hermes began to fade. Some last blurry audio made it back to Earth “Somethi.. ong... The... thing and no...” followed quickly by “We n... help”
That was almost 2 weeks ago and the Sol system has heard nothing from the Hermes since. Since then Earth Gov has been stuck in political debates over whether to send a rescue team with a warp drive or whether it’s too risky. Humanity was left reeling at the loss of such a potential breakthrough.

You awaken in your quarters upon the Heimdall, a routine company surveillance ship, patrolling supply lanes with long range scanners to act as a security and rescue force. You scratch as your stubble and sit upright in the chrome room, third day in space in a row, stretching you look in the mirror
“Come on john” you think to yourself, trying to build motivation for the day ahead.
You leave your quarters and almost bump into a short girl, with equally short mousey brown hair.
“Ah jeez sorry Lizzie” you say smiling, still feeling half asleep.
She throws you a sassy smile “Typical Dallas, you never look where you are going or what you are doing” she shakes her head laughing softly to herself.
“Shut up” you smile at her, as she walks past you, keeping pace at her side down the metallic corridor.
“You’re late anyway” she says “Someone’s gotta keep those machines running and I’ve been flying solo for the last 4 hours! It’s been bloody boring”
“I don’t sleep well out here” you say, gazing down the corridor “I should probably eat something” you mumble
“Well be quick” she snaps playfully, as you both stand at an intersection, one corridor leading the way she is turning, the other turns left to the mess hall.

From a broadcast on your phone, President Minezaki says, “…and Katsuya Nekoyo! And that’s the last participant! Details will be sent to you all later today. Let’s show them what Tetsuyashi’s made out of!”
Looks like you used up all your luck for the year. You are now a participant for the Cultural Festival, the lottery ticket you opted in randomly chosen out of sheer chance. Maybe.
“Hey, nice one!” Sorai says as he pats your back, “Who did you pay off?”
“Who did I pay off?” you say, “Is this real?”
“Dreaming? Hold up, I’ll pinch you.”
You karate-chop his hand away, “Go pinch yourself, I don’t want to wake up.”
And he does. “Ow. Good news is that I’m not asleep. Weird, I shouldn’t be up this time of day in the weekend,” Sorai says.
“Got any plans today?”
“Got kinda an annoying problem, nothing big. Why?”
“Curious.”
“Mmm,” Sorai rubs his neck, “What about you?”
That’s… a good question.

Interlude
June 17th, 1977. Terry's House, Pleasant Valley. 2:30 PM.
"But cooommeeee oooonnnnnnnn!!!!"
"I said no, Mary, and that's that! Dam-darnit, I'm not pulling in that much scratch as it is, we aren't going to go and see some kid's movie! You want some entertainment, how 'bout you get it the old-fashioned way? Go out in the street and find some! You can take care of yourself, you're what, 13? 14?"
You sigh as you open the door to an argument between Terry and Mary. You spent most of the last day panhandling, shoring up your financial reserves, and had decided to spend today relaxing. Guess that's not in the cards.
"What's up?"
Mary starts first, her filmy, Technicolor eyes tearing up in a pubescent play for sympathy. "I wanted to go and see a movie today because we haven't done anything like that and Uncle Terry's being an asshole and saying no even though I bet he has the money really!"
"HEY! WHAT'D I SAY ABOUT THAT KIND OF LANGUAGE!?"
"Well you use it all the time when you think I'm not listening I'm not stupid you know!"
"Look, Jerry, she's got it all wrong. I ain't found a job yet, money's a little tight, you know how it is."
>Hey, Jerry, don't sweat it. I'll take her.
>I'll cover the costs, and all of us can go: it'd be a good thing for building camaraderie.
>Micheal can take us; that man could probably buy a movie theater with his pocket change.

Three and a half weeks pass and you and the family return to a normal life. No crazy battles, demented government officials, or random acts of aggression from any lost Demons. The demon believed to be your sisters known as York, has begun staying in your home and doing the common household chores that you have... Neglected.
Amy continues her schooling and gets to be close friends with York.
Tensions between Dizzy and Amy have seemingly disappeared.
Sasuke... Stays the same. Trying to show you his nerd stuff and giving Dizzy those weird simulator games.
Samantha, after recovering from your tease has begun once again talking to you. Much more than previously... Sam sits with you at lunch now on an almost daily basis and even occasionally asking you to walk her home.
Dizzy, is learning the ways of the dark side. Falling in deeper and deeper into the degeneracy with the help of her enabler Abel. Even Kana, the younger sister of Samantha is learning to be a nerd from that kid. But they are happy so you have allowed it.
The trip begins in two days, the first Monday of the month you are to arrive to school early so your class can take the trip to the Airport together. But as of now it is Saturday morning and you have just awoken.
Everybody in the house is asleep besides you. York sleeps on the other couch in the living room Across form you.
>A) Take a nice walk. (By yourself.)
>B) Wait for someone to wake up. (who)
>C) Go into town. (Is there anything you need to bring on your trip to Europe?)
>D) (Fastforward to Monday)

>C) Go into town. (Is there anything you need to bring on your trip to Europe?)
We need to get York a cellphone
You think. 'Can't have these two alone for the whole trip without hearing from me.'
That thought leads you into town this bright and shining morning. Your trip into town finds you in a local cell phone shop. The store clerk comes to you.
"Good morning sir. Looking for a phone I assume?"
"...nah, I want some breakfast. You sell that here right."
"Very funny sir... Right this way please." He leads the way to the to the display. "We have three models in stock" he says showing you the them.
The first The model A is... Basic... It makes calls and texts, not overly reliable but still good. Cheap to
Model B. Some new apps. A basic phone with internet access and pretty reliable. Moderate price.
Model super deluxe Z. Most tricked out phone on the market. It does everything except wipe your ass. But its hella expensive... Your Trip funds would be minimal for the duration of the trip.

Dawn of Worlds is a collaborative World Building exercise where the players are gods in a new world. They can choose to work together as a pantheon for their combined prosperity or compete as they struggle for dominance.
Submit Gods like so
>God Name
>Domain/Sphere of Influence
>Alignment (Lawful, Unaligned or Chaotic)
>Personality Traits e.g. Aggressive, Cruel, Protective, Secretive, etc. You must have at least two Personality Traits and a max of five.
>Appearance (Optional) e.g. a Giant Six armed humanoid with golden skin and no eyes.
Rule Changes (In addition to the attached PDF)
-Start with 2d6+5 Power Point, and gain 2d6+4 Power Points each round, with the bonus decreasing each round until it reaches 0.
-1 inch=2 Hexes on the Map I'll post next.
-If a player is inactive for three rounds, they are removed
-Players can act in any order, regardless of their points.
-Race Creation undergoes the following changes
>Races have three Personality Traits. They must share at least one Personality Trait with their parent god, who decides their personality traits. These effect how the race acts. Lots of Corruption/Purification can affect their traits. A sub-race must share at least one trait with the parent race.
>Races also have physical traits, stuff like Long-Lived, Regeneration, Flight, etc. They can have any number of these, with real-life average humans serving as the base. When a players makes a race, they list as many of these as they want but if I or another player feels they are OP, they can veto the race's creation until the other player changes the trait. Same applies with subraces

This place is....well I still don't like it down here. This entire place feels wrong, like its out of place with the rest of the world. Sure it looks nice, pretty and clean. But it all looks the same, hell I'm pretty sure I would end up lost if it wasn't for all the signs pointing to various parts and sections of this facility.. Its just so uniform and boring. I mean I could see why someone would hate it, besides of course the reasons Lifa has for it being as she put it "An abomination to this natural world and all that live within it". I grab my one eyed daughter's hand, the labcoat I made trailing over her wrist and the floor as she digs her fingers into my palm, the "mask" I've given her twisted in barely contained rage.
"Hey cheer up, we're not going to be here for long" I say under my breath, just in case anyone's listening in on us as we walk down these spotless halls, though I don't think anyone would get too close since Kelly is right behind us...Muzzled sure, but still these people seem to be a bit...well they're scared of and hate monsters, so she should keep any prying eyes away. I hope.
But Lifa doesn't respond with anything besides a sad little smile, her eye still smoldering with age as she walks besides me.
"Oh oh oh" Galina chants happily, keeping her labcoat buttoned up as she tries to pull me ahead as I hold her back, gripping her wrist as tightly as I can "Come on, lets go over there it looks exciting over there! I've never seen stuff like they're selling before!"
"We will, just be patient, we have a lot of places to be today" I say softly and sweetly, kissing my confused daughter on the forehead as she tilts her head and frowns
"Grrr, this place reeks of pride" Maya growls under her breath as she tugs on my coat "we won't be here for long right?"
"Not at all, I just said that" I sigh as Alith glances around, wearing sunglasses to hide her pink tinted eyes.
"Huh" She says calmly, rubbing her chin "You know, this place is really drab isn't it? Its just so....boring mother, can we fix it up"
"We'll destroy it" Lifa hisses under her breath.
I sigh and smile, and continue walking down the hallway.
What do I do first?
[] teach Alith about mortals
[] Teach Galina and try to make her....less crazy
[] Teach Lifa more
[] Help Maya gather a few souls
[] grab a scientist and turn them into a monster 1d20+pot

[] treat it like a holiday, and just spy on some experiments for now

What the fuck do we do in this Quest?
-Your goal is to survive one year on this plot of land.
-Every night a random Cryptid will appear and attempt to kill you and your partner(s)
-By morning it will disappear.
-They cannot appear in the house but they can spawn absolutely anywhere outside the house.
-Where they initially spawn is usually random but they will be within 3000 feet of your house usually.
-When they spawn is also random. It may happen as soon as night falls or it may happen a few hours later.
-You must stay on the plot of land and cannot leave it for the whole year.
-If you survive the year you will get 50 million dollars and any partners or boon you have may also stay with you.
-Cryptids can be killed by conventional means, but some may be harder to kill than others.
--------------
Synopsis of the Story so far!
------------------
It's day 3 of the year long quest to survive!
-Beaten Giant Grasshopper
-Beaten Yuki-Onna
-Received a small gem from the giant grasshopper and a chest of tools from the Yuki-Onna
-A map of the island detailing, A hospital, a school building, a post office, a town, and a cemetery was discovered.
-A possible budding romance between Donovan and Maven has occurred.
------------
(Chu was a result of the luxury food package. Sort of a fun boon on top of a boon.)
------
"Maven please don't go running off like that from now on."
>"Whatever, fine."
Maven walks off up to her room.
"Well, I guess that just leaves you and me eh Don?"
>"I guess."
"Hey Chu, what's the food storage situation look like?"
>"We good on food. Helicopter come every month with fresh supplies, you no need worry."
"Gotcha."
>"The closest location on the map is the one me and Maven went to.. We didn't really explore much, and honestly it was getting late."
"Alright, well, lead the way. Whatever we can find there might give us an edge."
>The snow seems to be gone.

>"There are three areas here as far as we can discern, the elementary, the middle school, and the high school.
"Gee Don three schools?"
>"I know it seems like a lot. Any place in particular you'd like to start? We checked out the middle school for a bit but then got out of there. We knew something was wrong when we saw snow on the ground the other day."
"Let's start with high school."
>You walk toward the large decrepit building and enter through it's doors.
>Peering down the long disheveled hallways you're already filled with uneasiness.
>You walk inside.
>You grip your gun tightly, approaching the first classroom.
>A dull white light peers through the window.
>Classroom chairs and desks covered in dust.
>There are many papers scattered on the ground but one strikes your interest.
>"What's that?"
"Mosswood school mission statement. Looks like they're not big fans of religion or superstition."
>"Somehow that's the opposite of what I was expecting to hear."
"It seems ironic doesn't it? Wonder what could have happened here."
>You find pens and pencils in the desk, but something compels you not to take them for some reason and you put them back.
>You check out the next classroom across the hall.
>Heart racing in the deafening silence.
>Nothing is here and yet..
>Every step you make echoes through the vacant school.
2/3
>>1278140
>Your mind is screaming red alert, ready for something to jump out at you at any moment.
>You spot a tape on the ground and pick it up.
"What the heck is this?"
>"Here, let me see."
>He takes it from you.
>"This is an old camcorder tape."
"Oh really?"
>"Yeah. Pretty useless though unless we find the camcorder that goes with it."
"Well, I doubt this would be here unless someone was using that particular camcorder."
>"That would imply they left it behind here."
"For our sake I hope they did. We desperately need clues about what's going on here."
-------
>An hour goes by digging through the old desks and classrooms.
>You've found a firemans axe.
>It's old and covered in what looks to be dirt.
>"You gonna lug that thing around? You realize we have guns and another axe at home right?"
"I know, maybe I just don't want anyone else to get ahold of it is all."
>"Fair enough."
>One of the lockers is opened part of the way.
>You open it.
>Dust falls out, but also a camcorder partially wrapped in cloth.
"Alright yes!"
>Donovan picks up a jacket next to the camcorder.
>He rifles through the pockets a pulls out a scrap of notebook paper.
>He takes a moment and reads it.
>A grave expression forms on his face.
"Watcha got there?"
>"Nothing."
>He shoves the note into his pocket.
>You shrug and pick up the camcorder dusting it off.
>There are cords hanging off of it.
>There are etchings on the side which read:
>"UNDER THE FRIDGE."
>You pop open the door for the tape and slide the tape labeled "50" inside.
------
-You emerge from the high school with 3 hours remaining.
What will you do?
3/3
Head home and check under the fridge.
Perhaps you were the first soul the government has put on the island.
About The Quest~
Consider this quest a sandbox-ish quest(there's still a plot tho), you'll be meeting different species and doing whatever you want with them, anything goes, there's no-write in that's too lewd, stupid, crazy, dumb, like i said anything goes
You'll decide what to do with the tribes and species you'll meet along the way, want to turn their female/male population into submissive wrecks while the other dominates them? Want to drive them into extinction? Want to unify all the species of the area and make a kingdom out of them with you at the helm? Sure, go ahead, if the majority is ok with it you can do it
I'll provide you with possible actions, suggestions as well as an option for a write-in
I would appreciate feedback after the session is done
Now, let's get started
----------------------------------
So
What happened last time?
>You made some more advances to the tribe, met other two humans which only one stayed with you, you found a tribe of anthropomorphic Wolf-like people with a human leader which had a tribe of humans and wolves but you decided to leave them to go back to your family you also took a few wolves with you and you encountered another parasite along the way which took the form of Atraad but more sensual and as a chocolate elf, when you arrived at home your family and Evangeline prepared a welcome party for you and last but not least Atraad (new parasite) sneaked out for food and when you found her there was another parasite with her which took the form of a half-cat half-human hybrid.

When you see how Atraad's walking off you immediately call out to her asking her where is she going? The village is the other way. She looks back at you and shrugs, will you return? You ask which she responds by another shrug before she continues to walk away, you hurriedly catch up to her and explain how things would be better in the village with everyone else, she could experience the joy of being a proper mother with you or someone on the tribe, you will look after her just like you once did with Daarta she stops walking and looks at you with a doubtful expression before looking at the ground deep in thought, you're worried about her, you know how hard it is to find food for them and you don't know how will she do once she's alone. She remains still while she thinks about her decision but ultimately she hugs your side to not squish the cat girl before leaving again, with nothing more to say and no more good points to mention you let her go, hoping she will return one day. The trip back is rather uneventful except for the cat girls constant playful squirming and purring in your arms, when you arrive everyone's already sleeping in their houses and tents.
Anything you wanna do before going to sleep? And where is the cat girls sleeping at?

2) Collaborative Player-to-Player actions like trading, tutoring and PvP, will cost an action point to do so.
Combat:
1) Post 2 actions like you normally would. Your opponent will roll their own 2 actions.
2) To defeat your opponent, you must overcome their defensive or evasion roll and vice versa
>If you have not rolled an evasion or defensive roll then your opponent must pass normal DC to hit you and vice versa.
>If both combatants attacked successfully then it's a Double KO.
>If both combatants defended successfully then it's a Stalemate.

After the 3rd year your character will head off into a their first mission for a final test.

2) Your character's backstory, appearance and any other useful information.
3) You are given 3 Skill Points. Choose 1 starting spell and 2 other skills or spells.

Acquiring and Improving Spells & Skills:
1) Study, research, explore, train or take classes to discover and learn new spells.
2) Training an already learned spell or skill will raise it further to the next tier once enough [Progress Points] are accumulated.
4) The progress threshold is based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,2,3,5,8,...)
>Usually Spell and Skill tiers are named as Basic => Intermediate => Advanced => Expert => Master
>Alternatively you can label the tiers as T1, T2, T3 and so on.
Spellcrafting:
Spellcrafting involves fusing spells with various skills, knowledge and even other spells that your character has learned together creating a new spell or skill.
>The name of the resulting new spell will be determined by the QM. By default it will be "Cast A B C..."
>Your dice roll will affect the result of the spellcrafting. Lower rolls will result in weaker or negative version of the intended spell and vice versa.
Social Interactions:
1) Role playing with other players is a free action. Role playing with NPCs, however, will cost an action point to do so.

You go to class and you learn the techniques used. The professor goes on how “Spatial theory has mainly been used for portals and strategy in the past but what people have forgotten are the other ways and applications of spatial magic. It all comes to the basic foundation that ‘You’re only limit is your own mind’ wherein magic’s limit is your imagination, but now’ I’m getting too far from the topic. Let me discuss about…”

You gather some books in the library. You put books around you that are related to your addiction. There aren’t much books on your specific problem but there are books on addiction and ways to deal with it. There was all this info on looking in the spiritual side. There was talk about looking within to rid yourself of ‘bad ki’. There was this one book that seemed to peak your interest though. It is a book by some famous psychologist. ‘Flights From Burden Of Selfhood’, it was called and it was filled with info on direct detail on what could be the causes and effects of these problems. There was also a dedicated chapter to masochism and sadism, it comes to detail on how this is not a mental illness or a chemical imbalance but a psychological trauma. You continue to read and learn that it still follows the idea of the earlier books. The best way to deal with these strange thoughts was to take a seat and talk to people. This was the best way to deal with the in removing the bad aura around you.
>Blessed with [Letting It Out], When talking with people about how you feel, you will have a +10 to rolls. This can help you in talking and healing your past trauma.
>[Letting it Out] can be used 3 times, It’s easy to let it out at first but as you talk about deeper things, it gets more difficult to talk..

Is this you?
Your name is Chiaki Matsuda, and you are a Magical Girl.
And you've just unleashed what looks like a huge brass spider monster witch right smack dab in the First Officio Assassinorum's moonbase.
A spider monster that is currently disemboweling and tearing apart anything and everything it can get its bladed chains around, with each prey providing a sobering choir of death screams punctuated with the juicy crunch of broken bones and ripping flesh.
All just to interrupt Tomoe Mami's judgment and impending execution.
All just to buy more sand for her hourglass. For you to make sense of what she's done and what she's tried to do.
This is you fixing things. This is you taking control of the situation. The only way you know how.
And you'll make her answer you properly if it's the last thing you ever do.

Above the deafening alarms and the wash of red emergency light, through the bloodcurdling screams and the hypnotizing cascade of pulping meat, behind the maniacal peals of laughter coming from nowhere and everywhere at once - you find yourself momentarily enchanted with the sight of the most powerful magical girls in the world being inconvenienced by a Witch. No, that's obviously an understatement - they were being massacred by it. Decimated by it. Tearing them to pieces despite their best efforts to kill it.
It's not for lack of trying, to be sure. Even without looking - and you can't, not without risking blindness from the migraine-bright flashes of light and explosion of color from the desperate attacks - you know each of them is burning enough magic, flinging enough firepower to level an entire city block with each hit. Enough to make the air inside the now-bloodied chapel smell acrid, thick with ozone and static electricity. Enough to make your teeth itch and your ears ring.
But no matter what they did - no matter what they tried - nothing seemed to hit. Nothing seemed to work. Sure, their attacks sheared off chain after bladed chain, even flash-melting them whenever they get too close - but each one destroyed was replaced with two, and every two replaced with three. When a blast of blinding light finally managed to slip through the trashing forest of barbed metal links, they simply dissolved into the yawning, gaping tear in reality that the Witch mockingly peered through. Its massive, arachnid form barely visible through the virulent, violent energies of the warp-torn hell it made its nest in.
Almost like...huh. Almost like one of those creepy, poisonous spiders you remember watching a documentary about. A funnel web spider, kind of thing. Burying itself underground, in its own tunnel, only to burst through the camouflaged opening with fangs ready to deliver the killing blow at the right time.
As much as you'd like to stick around to see that, though, you have bigger things to worry about. Namely the all-but-forgotten blonde still crucified at the altar, placid among the carnage, amidst the chaos.
+ CHIAKI-SAN, I'VE GOT HER! NOW MOVE! + Vintage's pulsed cry of panic and haste derails your track of thought, snapping you back into the chaotic mess of the present. You hurriedly scan the chapel for the mousy Equerry - only to find her just beyond the whipcracking cascade of bladed chains still hewing flesh and blood from the First Officio, her small frame shivering as it tries to support the limping, bleeding form of...Tomoe Mami...?
You blink at this. What...? Two of them?
[1/2]
>>1278077
+ One of her ribbon copies! No time to explain! + Vintage insists as she hobbles towards you, clearly struggling to haul the blonde's weight. + MOVE! We need to get the both of you to the savior pods before they catch on! Luxuria can't keep this up forever, even if it looks like she's winning! +
Just behind her, another girl of the First screams bloody murder as the chains wrapped around her limbs violently rip and tear her apart, before dragging her still-bleeding, still-twitching remains into the abyss from which they've sprouted from. Her cries for help joining the ever-present chorus of the damned.
What do you do?
[]Scout on ahead. Clear their path to the savior pod.
[]Grab Mami and have Vintage guide you to the savior pod.
