"WARNING! WARNING! PLANET FALL IMMINENT!"

Cold and groggy, you are awakened by the sounds of muffled electronic voices, emergency sirens and hissing pressurized air. You slowly realize that you’re cold. Everywhere is cold. Even the enclosed space that surrounds you.

"INITIATING EMERGENCY PROTOCOLS. DISENGAGING CRYOSLEEP."

Stimulants are administered. Gradually you come to your senses. You realize that you’re inside a cryosleep pod.

"ALL PERSONNEL PLEASE PROCEED TO THE ESCAPE PODS." Everything shakes for a brief moment before settling down again.

Outside is lit up be dim red emergency lights. You can still see the other cryopods near you; 01 and 02. 01 is half open and seem to be producing excessive amounts of ice. You can see what looks like a slumped over head peeking from inside the pod. 02 seems to have been forced open by something strong. The occupant is also missing for some reason. On the other side are the lockers where people get their clothes and gear after waking up from Cryosleep.

You are Jacob Marshal, a man who recently drove his sister into the redzone of a blacklight outbreak, became a lovecraftian horror, and are to busy to summarize this because your too busy fighting what looks like a satanic porcupine!

I'm sorry! I left to go do things for a bit!

I'm also terrible at one liners, but in exchange I think I've finally come up with an interesting Prototype range option. It's always bothered me that there isn't one in game. I'm thinking of drawing it up, so give me a while and I'll see if I can't give the thread a sketch.

>Anniversary Edition

The coastal town of Diamond Shoals, a popular tourist destination in the summer but otherwise relatively sleepy in the off-season. Occasionally though, there is some supernatural activity abound which is usually seen to by a few strange denizens of the town. For as unnatural as this activity might be though, it usually goes unnoticed by most everyone else. Usually.

You've seen your fair share though and are starting to think you picked the wrong town to move to.

You send a group of your skilled troops scouting around the shore to the North in an attempt to go East.

When they return their spores are erratic in trying to explain what they saw. Eventually you get them to calm down and explain in detail.

One of the slingers updates the map while the others explain. You may have scaley and acid spewing beast, but they saw signs of something more mighty.

According to them, trees had large gashes in them and had been toppled over, prints the size boulders from the mine, and a cry like the howling of the cold wind could be heard every so often.

With some of the more well trained troops sent out you have the Spearshrooms around Capstone train.

In the area they've started to use as their training grouns you can hear commotion of some kind all day.

---

At this point you check on Scientist, who was given a sample of the "healing seaweed" you got from the Bullywugs.

"Chief! So good to see you, I was just about to see how strong the effects of this plant was."

You see Scientist has one of the seaweed wrapped around his arm and he continued. "With our troops being safe I had to give myself another cut with an axe, but it wasn't too deep."

As you think about their habit of selfharm, Scientist takes off the wrap. You see... nothing.

"Well it seems to have completely fixed the cut I gave myself recently. Though for larger wounds I'm not sure how much would be needed."

It is the Year of Our Lord 1120. You are Victor Reis, a Knight-Captain of the Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Frankfurt (The Teutonic Order.) You had come to the Holy Land after a request for aid from your brothers in the newly-formed Templar order, and traveled with them to a mountain pass Northeast of Acre, and joining a Saracen horde in battle there, suddenly found yourself in another world, along with your Teuton brothers and Templar allies. After an ordeal that involved Elves, the Wilde Jaege, and even more Elves, you finally made your way back to the warcamp, that was transferred to the world as well.

No, having the same OP image makes it easier to track down the quest in the catalog.

Whatever floats your boat, a consistent image is more recognizable but I don't have a problem tracking down the quests that do switch them up, if you've got some sweet art you want to share go for it

There's no need to change the OP image, it's easier to recognize the quest when I'm scanning the /qst/ page.

We continue after Alagos's car was demolished by machine gun fire...

You get up and look down the alley. Looks like your attacker is a mercenary. Probably a good one, too, if he's alone.
"Nice reflexes, getting out of the car that quickly." he comments, putting his gun aside and drawing his pistol.
"Yeah, I'm pretty good like that."
Kilo gets up and flicks the safety on her uzi before drawing her sword.
"Kilo and Alpha, supposedly working together. You've been targeting Hanzai quite a bit lately... I've been hired to discourage you from doing so."
You summon your Bravo and brace it against your shoulder, peering down the sights at the mercenary.

In a time of global conflict, the elite international task force Overwatch was formed. Soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities: together, they ended the Omnic Crisis and restored peace to a war-torn world. For a generation, the heroes of Overwatch protected the world, inspiring an era of exploration, innovation, and discovery.

After many years, Overwatch became troubled, and was finally disbanded by official U.N. order. Soon world conflict and terror rose again. Governments weakened by strife ceded power to mega-corporations. Militaries were replaced by private security forces. Some omnics returned to war with humanity; others remained peaceful, but faced fear and violence from humans affected by the war. The global crime syndicate Talon, in the absence of their perpetual rivals, rose to vast wealth and power, pushing entire nations into chaos.

You are a young man who's been many things: adventurer, treasure hunter, freedom fighter, and international criminal. But before all that, you dreamed of helping defend the world with Overwatch. When you encountered Tracer on that fateful night and agreed to help her rebuild, you didn't quite realize what you were getting yourself into. Joining as the first new recruit of the reborn team, you soon found yourself as unofficial leader in coalition with Athena, apparently the world's only benevolent Mind.

In the weeks since then, you, Tracer, and your new friends have travelled the globe, recruiting former agents and newcomers to the cause, and doing what you can to protect the citizens of Earth. Overwatch is doing what it can to ward off the forces of chaos, oppression, and war. But can one small group of vigilantes really protect everyone?

The world needs heroes. All you can do is try to be one of them.

Today has not been a good day.

When the terror alert at the Watchpoint went off, and your strike team flew to western Africa to fight a squad of corrupted Omnics rampaging through a major city to assault a corporate research facility, things started out okay.

You and the other agents handled yourselves pretty well against both sides: the combat frames, machines controlled by a fragment of the malignant AI Anubis, and also the corporate security forces who violently objected to your assistance. You took down a heavy gunner mech with the help of Hanzo and Tracer, even if it cost you your left-hand EM glove. You even managed to extend an olive branch of sorts to the security force when you offered to let Mercy heal their wounded.

Maybe that's why you did what you did, you think, as a bullet cracks into the concrete next to your head. Things were going so well. Everything was right with the world.

You are the Courier, with dreams of establishing a new American Empire in the blasted irradiated wasteland, the path you and your followers have tread has not been an easy one. At much peril to yourself, you ventured forth into the crashed alien vessel attacking BigMT and, after rescuing an Old World Chinese settlement within, smashed your way into the alien command center with a mighty Chinese tank, before returning to your settlement.

Your settlement meanwhile, at high cost but with high spirits, defeated and fended off a Legion assault to retake Cottonwood Cove, once again securing their freedom, as the survivors continue to strive on for the fallen and rebuild.

Much needed to be decided after that. You recruited numerous companions to your service, convincing them to go to Cottonwood Cove and aid in the efforts there. Then you returned once more to BigMT to decide what to do with the right arm you lost, as well as going to your brain where you needed help in resolving a major internal debate about the future of your nation, coming to a tentative, if based on compromise, resolution.

>Last Thread – Civ Action: Bring the Companions! + Crafting Station (Bonus!)
You decide to recruit four of your known companions.

Ares - the Airforce Android, comes along after you had repaired her and established companion protocol, bringing with her Gatling Laser and incredible robotic strength and toughness. She can pilot a Vertibird and any other Old World American aircraft you manage to restore. She was previously repairing her F80 Shooting Star jetcraft parked in Fort Nellis, although it was currently a dead end due to a lack of sufficient aircraft parts.

Veronica - brings along her favorite weapon, a pair Ballistic Fists, as well as a pair of Combat Armor MK2. In addition she brings her intelligent mind at old world science, particularly that of technology and electronics.

Raul - brings with him his wrench and multi-toolkit, a wizard at repairing conventional technology and old world robotics, he’s not as scientifically or program minded as Veronica or yourself, but a master of repairing circuits, hydraulics, and battery packs. A genius at jury rigging matched only by you he can repair almost he can understand and has the right parts for.

>You also convince him to transfer his workshop, which with the help of your followers you carry by foot over the wasteland, equipment by equipment, giving you a substantial boost.

+Raul’s Workshop! – Much better than a normal one, contains all of Raul’s little tricks tips and bits for repairing of a wide variety of objects. He can repair any of the Courier’s known equipment up to 100% (with some necessary jury rigging for advanced designs) and gives a bonus to repair actions.

>Raul has automatically repaired your damaged Armor and Weapons from the BigMT battle, including your Remanant Power Armor

Rose of Sharon Cassidy - This was an admittedly risky decision to bring her along, you know right well she’s being hunted down by the vengeful caravans after the trouble she caused them in revealing their monopoly schemes to the NCR, who took harsh measures against them and enacted strict trade laws. You don’t know how long the caravans will find out about her being with you, after you told her to lay low and now bring her to your settlement, but she does bring along with her a savvy survival sense, her tribal heritage bringing with her familiar hunting rifle that might a well part of her and just about as an expert as anyone in wasteland survival and hunting (except perhaps Boone).
>>
>>1469131
I think we had solved the arm situation. We settled on Biological arms for both us and Willow
>>
>Hero Action – Get back our Arm + Bring back some of the BigMT Loot

>Vote: Upgrade the Monocyte Breeder
The Doc says to let him scan your Monocyte Breeder Implant, then to return to him in about few weeks or so, during which time you help Raul ferry his workshop while also scavenging BigMT for plasma rifles and laser weapons to bring to your settlement, storing them in the, still intact, southern armory along with the necessary ammo.

Last but not least, you decide to bring the Sierra Madre Vending machine from the abandoned Brotherhood Bunker, storing it in Cottowood Cove.

It is currently limited to a known set list of items.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sierra_Madre_vending_machine

Furthermore, requires Steel / Metal + Fission Materials and a user who knows how to produce Sierra Madre Chips to function. The average human can only hold Fission Batteries, other fissile materials will pose radiation risks. Currently it’s a non-action to produce individual items for your Courier, but to supply an entire settlement will require a Civ’s worth of material, as well you are limited to the one machine for now.

>Brain
“I’m glad you’re deciding to stick with elements of my plan for now, remember I just need you to solve your base’s food and medical problems and then return to me with the good news. I don’t think you’ll be able to do that with one machine, but it’s going to help and buy time for you to upgrade those farms.”

>Raul
“I can produce those chips you want Boss, plus I’m a lot more resistant to rads than most. If you can get me some other radioactive stuff like old car batteries I can use that to make chips. I still gotta make em by hand right now though boss, so it takes time.”

>Veronica
“Perhaps if you were to find us some radiation protective suits, I could help Raul make more of them. If I don’t get bored out of my skull making chips every day.”

The entire arena was starting to populate quickly now as bodies piled up and then disappeared, blood staining and then wiped away, turning into an endless war zone.

"Ahhhhhh!" Liz gasped, her hands out around her as she felt the cold arena's air filtration system. She felt good about her chances, spawning in the middle of all of the action wearing her usual gym attire as she started to run through the arena, hungry with the urge to kill.

As he walks out the crowd explods, everyone cheering, whistling and screaming for him. Once he enters the arena he lifts his arms to the sky, a plastic big in one hand and a crudely made shive in the other, spinning around either not knowing what the fuck was going on or make a performance for the crowd.
"In this corner, the golden street grouch, the huffing homeless, the dubious druggie. It's George "the golden guy" Greg."
George wave his arms as the crowd cheers louder for the 40 years old, over weight man with fresh paint on his face. He put the bag to his lips, the crowd shoting "huff huff huff." While he breaths in and out almost like he's hyperventilating, but no, George is higher then ever, his rusty, blood cover gold shive, ready.

You are in a forest.

You don't quite remember how you got to this forest, though it is quite convenient, as you're short on cash and apparently most monsters leave behind gold after you kill them. And forests happen to be fantastic breeding grounds for all kinds of monsters!

In the depths of a bar known as the "Irriguus Deorsus", a small kobold is on his laptop in a corner, mixed between breaking down, being overwhelmingly drunk, and using the internet.
He takes a swig from a bottle of wine, which is already his fourth bottle.

His name is Revenaris, and he is not only drunk but also having a mid-life crisis.

He's lost in the underworld, drunk out of his mind, drinking strange wines which probably doesn't even come from grapes, and is very depressed over his lack of ability to just drink tea.
Of course, in order to calm himself, he's turned to drinking and using the kobold internet...

Now, of course, Revenaris has gotten into an internet argument over the best type of drink, and like many trivial arguments has made him quite angry. It's not too long before he gets fed up, and slams his laptop closed and goes out into the street.
He stumbles around, nearly falling over onto the marble road, but stumbles along...

What do anons want to do?

You are Captain Ichimaru Gin, the ranking officer of Third Division. Many of your peers have accused you, usually behind your back, of “wearing a mask” in public. While there was at one point a joke to be found there regarding hollowfication, not only would that be in rather poor taste it wouldn't be quite as topical anymore since nobody in the Seireitei performs it in that manner any longer.

You will admit however that they have a fair point.

The proverbial mask is there for many reasons, some of them selfish and others more utilitarian, but lately it's been increasingly difficult to maintain. Today, for example, your adoptive mother was grievously wounded while investigating the sudden appearance of Hueco Mundo in the skies above the Seireitei: both an impending planar convergence and the loss of one of what you'd consider the three strongest Shinigami currently active within the Gotei 13 could be considered disasters in the making.

That's why of all the times you've been called to an emergency Captains' meeting, this one is the time you've found yourself resenting it the least. You even arrive a few minutes early, which doesn't go unnoticed.

“You're here early,” Head Captain Kyōraku observes with an uncharacteristic frown as you let yourself into the hospital room where the meeting is being held in lieu of the First Division's barracks. “Things must be getting serious.”

“You wound me, Head Captain!” you reply dramatically. “It almost sounds like you think I'm usually late on purpose.”

“Your mother nearly died, you know,” the old man muses quietly. “No shame in admitting you're worried.”

“But I'm not worried, Head Captain,” you insist with a practiced smile. Okay, maybe that's a lie... more precise to say you're not as worried as you might have been were your mother less durable. “I'd have a tough time believing anyone short of Aizen or the Royal Guard could actually go an' kill her of all people. So you see, I expected her to be fine.”

From her bed, Riku gives you a tacit nod of understanding. She sees through your bullshit of course, far better than most, but that's okay. It's never been meant to fool her, and she knows that.

The meeting quickly begins as other officers arrive: the Head Captain and Riku were present when you arrived, and Yoruichi arrives not long after you do. Captain Shiba Kaoru arrives a few minutes later, followed by Lieutenant Kurotsuchi Nemu and Third Seat Kotetsu Kiyone representing their own respective Divisions. Last present is Captain Unohana, who was presumably working until just a few moments before the meeting was set to begin.

“Now that we're all here, Captain Kusajishi?” Captain Kyōraku announces. “Please repeat everything you told me.”

“There's a valley of screams that currently connects Hueco Mundo and the Soul Society,” she explains, wasting no time getting into the details. “I've also confirmed that there's some group of souls with shinigami powers who're either causing this to happen or accelerating it.”

“And what can you tell us about those people?” Unohana asks. You've always had a good sense for people, based on their expressions and the tones of their voice, and that's part of why you're so good at hiding your own intentions. Unohana on the other hand makes no attempt to hide her concern at the existence of a group able to cause such havoc.

Yoruichi raises her hand, glancing at Unohana. “With due respect, Retsu, let's not do this right now? Just let the woman finish so she can rest.”

She glances at Riku, who nods softly and continues. “They wore dark green shihakusho with chest plates. They spoke of banishment a thousand years ago, and about how they wanted revenge for that.”

“I can't be certain,” Yoruichi takes over the discussion, allowing Riku to shut her eyes for a moment, “but it sounds an awful lot like the exiled Ryōdoji are back for revenge. But since it happened a thousand years ago the records I have are incomplete.”

“I don't even know what their crime was.”
