>4chan is still sending me to random malware sites
mods, please, i see enough random porn on /v/ already, i don't need malware sites for that,
>>535424
>he still hasn't blocked ads
Better get used to it then.
>>535428
Fuck off Hiro.
>>535424
You have a virus on you computer
>>535457
it happens on my cellphone too and it only happens when i browse 4chan
it's not on my end
>>535438
I'm not Hiro and fuck the entire banner ad business model.
>browsing /v/
You wholly deserve it
>Adblock Plus

>>535479
>it happens on my cellphone too
you've never connected your cell phone to your computer?
>>535513
oh, i didn't know we had something like this, i thought this board was the feedback board
>Malware
>Ads
Haven't seen anything like that since 2012 thanks to noscript, addblocker and ghostery.
>>535680
Never heard of this third one but the other two have also served me quite well over the years. This sounds quite good though, and its name is similar to one of the greatest shows out there, Ghostory.
Do you think that they are going to fix it or they are too greedy?
>>535438
>Yeah, Hiro totally encourages ad-blocker to make less money.
>>535424
I've seen 6 malware ads just today
I'm genuinely curious and It'd be super nice if a mod could answer.
Just what the fuck is happening to this site? The moderation has gone down the shitter on almost all boards, 4chan is now serving malicious/intrusive ads and the administration has been quiet for months now.
I don't like this. Are they doing this on purpose?
Maybe they want to replace all old users with new ones.
>>536561
>Maybe they want to replace all old users with new ones.
It fits. Why else would they use a "captcha" system that gives new users 8 free posts [1] before being challenged instead of having the challenge in the first post and free posting thereafter?

Thank you for the sauce.

Well, shit. I didn't realise they'd been running for a whole week now.
I'll leave feedback.
>>536692
>i'm not sure if this pisses me off more or less
It doesn't piss me off more or less but it still pisses me off: makes the archives feel like you're visiting swfchan or some dodgy porn site in comparison to the active threads.
>>536701
I think it will follow on the main site soon or later. I hope i will be proven a liar
>>536849
This problem has been on and off the front page of /qa/ for months and hiro's not going to do anything about it because it's not in his financial itnerest.
I think the worst thing this situation implies is that there's very little communication between Hiro and the rest of the team. It looks like he just does shit without consulting the other people.
At the very least moot could actually talk to the mods.
>>536688
>I didn't realise they'd been running for a whole week now.
>whole week
Try it with months.
>>535438
>asks for help
>tells them to fuck off when he gets help
>>536849
Still, it made me feel better.
>hotpocket
>Implying
I did it on the off-chance that someone who can do something about it would read it... as well as for free.
>>537349
nobody's going to do anything you idiot
it was hiro's decision to put malware ads on the site because he wants more money from it. he is aware of the problems it brings and doesn't care.
there's also the fact that nobody seems to care about the feedback page at all. hell, I've reported some really easy to fix bugs in the feedback before and some of them are still not fixed
>>537349
Lol.
>>537395
>I've reported some really easy to fix bugs in the feedback before and some of them are still not fixed
What did you report, f.am?
>>535424
This is the thing that drove me to using an adblocker here, prior to that I let it run on 4chan but it's not worth the hassle if this is the kind of shit that's happening
>>538096
Same, 4chan was always a site you could whitelist without worrying.
Now, things have changed.
Did they fixed it? I dont get popups anymore in archive.
>>538325
>Did they fixed it?
Sort of: the stuff's all still in the page source but the ads themselves are 0x0 sized and titled "empty".
I'll understand it as "ads have been temporarily disabled". Which is good. Sort of.
I'm guessing that, once the problems are sorted out, the extra ad below the "Thread archived. You cannot reply anymore." text is here to stay.
Regardless: thank you, developer, for the temporary solution.

Oh wow.
Hiro doesn't know anything about computers though.
He dindu nuffin.
>>536561
They work for a site that infects people with malware.
They do it for free.
mods(or hiro himself) are deleting threads about this on /g/.
>>539155
Source?
>>539159
go try make one yourself.
>>540247
Implying these are my screenshots.
What's the best phone adblocker
>>535424
Thanks doc
>>541458
Mozilla Focus
>visit 4chan on my (admittedly low-end) phone
>freezes up the entire phone, forcing me to take the battery out and restart
Welp.
>>542791
Pressing and holding the power button for about 10 secs will restart most devices nowadays. No need to take off battery
Moot would never have let this happen, he made sure all ads didn't lead to malware.
Fucking Hiro, get your shit together.
>>543181
moot valued some nebulous concept of "integrity" more than he did profit.
>>543178
As I said, it froze so hard I had to take the battery out. That didn't work.
>>537018
>It looks like he just does shit without consulting the other people
Just like moot did all the time.
Do you retards seriouslly think Hiro makes money off ads?
The NSA pays him more for our posts lel, ads are just there to still make some money off dumbfucks who can't into adblock
>>544128
The thought of someone having to sit in a dark room all day and read all my posts about the filthy unspeakable acts I would perform on my waifu, while taking notes and trying to figure out just what kind of targeted advertisements to send to a degenerate like myself fills me with pleasure.
Why don't you guys just use uBlock + script-blocking extension?
>>544331
Because 4chan used to be a site you could trust.
