Can we have a thread about McCarthy? All I ever was taught about him in high school was that he caused the red scare and was a relatively terrible person. I would like to know the truth about him. Such as were there really as many communists as he was claiming? Was he actually a pretty cool dude? Did we not heed his warning effectively?

Look up people convicted of espionage for the soviet union. Whole lot of higher ups in government were caught. Who knows how many evaded detection.

Nice trips. But really there is not a reliable source out there. All truth and history is muddled up. All I can find is that he caused a great sort of witch hunt in the sense. Which caused many people to be accused and arrested. So I ask were they actually commies or were they just accused as being one?

He would be ashamed of the socialism that the Democratic party has become.
He would probably support based Jim Webb.

So McCarthy was pretty based. I can only imagine the reality we would live in had he become president. He would have removed any communist seeds that the USSR had planted.

Well, the man was no saint but he was right about communist infiltrators, agitators, and spies trying to subvert the west.
Patton was right too.
George Lincoln Rockwell went off the deep end but he wasn't entirely wrong.
