Used to work there. Here's a few things to do:

Drink/club at a hotel (expensive as fuck and a sausage fest though)

Go on a desert tour which involves dune bashing which is fun (try to set it up with three other people so you don't share a car with strangers)

Museum of Islamic History is decent

Jetskiing off the corniche

Get on a dhow cruise, especially one with alcohol. Drunk bitches trapped on a boat with you, what could go wrong?

Spent a night in the Oryx Rotana, allegedly is five star. Their buffet consists of fish heads and meat, which would qualify as slaughterhouse waste, I kid you not.
