their missiles don't have that kind of range, and its unclear whether or not they are even capable of miniaturizing a nuclear device to make it small and light enough to actually be deliverable on one of their long range missiles.

Secondary, no one will nuke it in responce, since that`ll mean hurting South Korea and Japan instead.

China would probably stay the fuck out of it and consolidate their power in east Asia.

China and NK aren't actually that close anymore. Nobody wants North Korea to collapse due to the flood of immigrants that will come from it.

A random nuking would warrant UN/US intervention. China wouldn't back NK if western nations invaded. China would likely build detainment camps, walls, extra security presence near NK/China border. China would want refugees to go the other way. Russia would likely do the same.

USA/SK/UN would use SK as invasion point. Intense bloody battle for first few weeks. NK is better prepared for initial push and artillery launch into SK. Western forces would quickly push back hard backed by US airstrikes. NK would be too unstable to mount a long term war.

Dunno how Israel would fit into it,
