I want to understand why they are... that. What causes it so a man on his 20's is masturbating to Looney Tunes or whatever humanoid animal, to dress themselves in fursuits and go to those conventions where they pretend to be a rainbow-colored fox of sorts. I mean, it's more than a fetish. Like, you can get turned on with latex, maid uniforms scat and all sorts of stuff, but they look way too deep on their thing.
Then there is the pony fans. I was pretty surprised with them a few years ago when it started, but DAMN they're still on it, from fapping to a girl flash cartoon and all their fic stories where they are magic ponies having friends and fucking other ponies.
Here in Brazil these guys aren't as vocal or numerous, so there. Anyway, short version: what leads to a furry, and what usually happens with them when they reach, say, their middle age?
>>37205599 Which keywords? Just a small sample would suffice. Also, I know this is irrelevant, seeing as we're on an animu imageboard, but don't you have something more productive you could be doing than this?
>>37205734 Here's a small list of what I have filtered. And yes, I do have more important things to do like study for uni, but you faggots won't stop being degenerates so I feel the need to make you faggots man up.
>>37206452 No its not, for several reasons: >Something Awful hated them but doesn't anymore because they are too busy being transfeminist SJWs >MLP is kind of furry but also mainstream and also more obviously embarassing >Furries just aren't that shocking any more. Compare an adult guy fapping to cartoon porn (that isn't anime) to an 11 yo 'tranny' and his Münchhausen by proxy mother saying he's getting his cock lopped off for his 15th birthday, on national TV.
>>37206504 It used to be a lot less gay than it is now, but even now there's a lot of 'confused' bisexual furries. Besides, its still a fun game of pretend and it doesn't make you not gay if one of you is pretending to be a vixen. As the man wearing that costume is.
>>37206458 Maybe. Hopefully, too. I'd like to think that there really are some other decent furries out there.
They're always either been stoners, NEETS, literally autistic, or had the mannerisms of a child so I've given up for now. I'm barely even attracted to humans so it was more for having a companion with the same interests than for sex or anything like that anyway.
>>37206855 >I'm barely even attracted to humans Animefans get that too with all the 3DPD comments. Of course furry is more aesthetically pleasing, but sex is nice if its with someone you like. Just turn off the lights and pretend.
>>37206988 Just being gay and not liberal is bad enough, anything else is trivial in my experience.
Person who has been involved in the Furry and MLP community here.
Not every furry wears a fursuit. Not every furry views it as a sexual thing either, hard as it is for many to believe. People get involved for various reasons, and the level to which they get involved is highly variable.
But you wanted a more definitive answer so I'll give you one: It's an escape.
When a person is in a fursuit, or when they adopt a fursona and roleplay with others over the internet, they are able to indulge in a fantasy. They are able to not be themselves for a while. This is the same for any person who adopts a different identity, furries are just a popular and very alien breed.
Why human-like animals, though? My theory is that animals are generally very easy to love. People hardly react to seeing humans get killed on tv, but a puppy? They cringe. Every human loves a cute animal, and unconsciously many furries know this. They want to be seen as cute and lovable, but still human enough so they can relate. So they decide to pretend they are a mix between the two: an anthropomorphic animal.
But then again, many people just like it because they find the concept interesting. Just the same way people find science fiction or fantasy interesting.
However, some people take the escape and try to make it a part of their real-world identity. They want their fantasy to be real, and in a self-deluded state of mind they make it the sole part of their identity. Some people do this because they believe there's no way anyone else will love them if they don't wear their mask of fur. And judging by how many of these people look physically, I'd say they're probably right.
But really, are they more deserving of your hate than all the other people who base their identity on their method of escape? Like people who make playing video games or using drugs part of who they are?
In the end they're just another type of person looking for comfort in a cold, uncaring world.
>>37206988 Yeah, I'm too red-pilled to be liberal and the fact that I'm a gay furry alienates me from the other conservatives. I'm sorta in limbo between the two.
I guess the one upside I have is I can easily make liberals and other furries/gays throw a fit over my 'conservatard self-hating homophobia' and I can always come here and upset anons with my 'degeneracy'. Being capable of pissing so many people off is a blessing.
>>37207118 It's not just real humans, but the concept of humans entirely. Things like skin and the general human shape seems so... inferior and unpleasant compared to how soft and warm fur would feel like when cuddling, or how cute a rabbit or fox face is compared to a human's.
I guess a lot of other furries feel the same way and that's why the fursuit, to sorta emulate that. But they just seem so blatantly fake to me, so it's more uncanny valley material.
>>37207761 I'm not really conservative, more libertarian if anything, but it seems now that anything to the right of Stalin is 'conservative' by default. I also like to upset SJWs by showing that not every gay man buys into their bullshit. I have been told I'm 'not really gay' before by them because they just can't understand something that isn't part of the narrative.
> inferior and unpleasant compared to how soft and warm fur would feel like when cuddling Eh, guys usually have enough 'fur' in my experience. But if you just want to cuddle something and sex doesn't matter, have you considered getting a cat or dog?
>>37207968 Yeah, modern politics have become quite polarized and both sides are to blame. The moment you state an opinion people force you into either side without considering the fact you might have a variety of views. I would be more inclined to be a libertarian myself if they weren't so pro-drug legalization, since I'm sympathetic to most of their other opinions.
>I have been told I'm 'not really gay' before by them because they just can't understand something that isn't part of the narrative.
It's annoying, isn't it? The fact that some gay people don't like to walk down the main street waving rainbow flags and clutching dildos seems to boggle their minds. Worse still since some of them see themselves as better than straight people. That being said, there isn't anything wrong with femboys, so long as they manage to pull the 'fem' part off.
I have a cat and I take good care of her, and I've been thinking about getting a dog too. They're there mostly because having someone else depend on me and being responsible enough to care for them is a good skill, I think. And unlike some furries, I'd never do anything to abuse them.
>Nice arts btw.
Cheers. I always like to dump safe furry stuff when I can.
Anyway, I'm happy to see another sensible gayfriend aware of the LGBTBBQQSPECLSNWFLAKE monstrosity.
>>37208395 Well, is there something in people's genes when they like being bound in leather? Or obsess over women's feet? Or spanked? Either something gets you off or it doesn't, and you can't always explain why.
>>37208563 >Well, is there something in people's genes when they like being bound in leather? Or obsess over women's feet? Or spanked? Either something gets you off or it doesn't, and you can't always explain why.
Doesn't even remotely come close to suggesting that it's genetic. Different cultures have all kinds of different ideals of beauty. I think culture is a much more elegant answer than genetics.
