Time for you to grow out of that game.
Make infantry, never waste IC on tanks, aircraft, or fancy shit like paratroops.
Only research doctrines that reduce your attack delay.
Never make allies, they are useless, instead invade them and take their IC and rares for yourself.
AI navy does fuck all, just invade Britian with a few transports, the RN will do dick.
Start off with small encircelments. The AI will then readjust the whole front line to cope with this "threat", weakening itself along the entire front. Its incapable of making any effective counterthrusts. Then go for the big encirclements.
Rinse and repeat for basically any of the major powers and you can get wins all the time at very unhistorical dates. Even on hardest level. Examples. Nationalist China invades Japan and wins by 1939. Britian goes alone and destroys Italy then Germany by 1941. Japan invades USA and wins by 1942 ( then takes on both the western allies and the Axis and wins by 1943). This was the sort of shit I pulled off before I got bored by the lack of difficulty.
i call bs on this one.
you cant break through swiss def in the mountains to take them. their military is too good and the mountain defensive modifier is on their side, additionally you dont have manpower to finish the fight.
you cant beat hungary because they have a larget military, same with yugo and checkoslovakia. skill wont help you if your division fights against envelopement, river crossing and encirclement.
this could only work if you make italy or germany your bitch to do it for you.
>AI navy does fuck all, just invade Britian with a few transports, the RN will do dick.
I tried invading Italy with the OP Austria and they sunk my transport fleet, like I expected so I reloaded, also Sweden sunk 1 or 2 ships when I invaded.
Switzerland is still independent, but I've done it before in a previous game with no real problem since the AI sucks at positioning, Yugo and Check are pretty much a matter of getting them with their pants down, rush their VPs while their army is still unmobilized.
rushing vps sounds good, but how do you break through? all the surrounding countries have more mp than you and all kinds of defensive modifiers protecting them - fighting is not an option.
I was using divisions of 3 infantries and stacking 3 divisions and yoloing for the vps. The AI goes retarded and cant deal with it if you're too fast.
Yugo was a huge pain though, because the capital was far away they kept cutting off my supply lines so I ended up having to use some divisions as bait/distractions.
How do you hold them off so effectively? Even a single succesful offensive on your encirclement will relally diminish your likelihood of decimation.
Tell me your secrets so that I may beat the ruskies without needing to use cheats like a plebian
That game annoys me so much. 60% of it is spent just trying to please some duke you just want to revoke the title from. I dont even get why the make it possible to create dukedoms. Its never beneficial. Keep all vassals at count tier.
>Put multiple units on a square
I'd have to be retarded not to do that
>Reinforce areas that are weakening.
Do you even have enough spare units to reinforce like that while having those thin as fuck lines?
>Not having enough units for the entire front several times over.
You can take some from the back if your running low. You should really be mobilizing most of your MP for the Soviets.
And other [free] geo-political simulator type games
Also political election games like Democracy - But I prefer the one where you can run as Ron Paul in the Election
Anyway Games are a degenerate waste of time, stop wasting your life and do something constructive
For the guys thinking this shit is hard.
bashing your dukes about is part of the game, but you only need to do it once when you conquer a new territory
here are some protips
1: Ideally all your dukes should be of your dynasty and culture, counts can have the culture of the province they govern and province revolt risk will be 0. Your duke's demesne can be a county with your culture and he can hold a duchy 100s of miles away
2: if all your dukes are of your dynasty you can have elective succession with 0 risk of the empire going to someone outside your dynasty, choose a king with high diplomacy +1 loyalty per 2 diplomacy points, traits like kind, diligent and brave give +10 loyalty, gregarious gives +5, avoid sloth, arbitrary, cruel and craven
3: to begin with you need to breed new dynasty members, don't allow too many children in your court who are not your dynasty, go for fertility when finding matches, matrilineal marriage all your females, don't waste too many children to forge alliances
3a: if you educate all your dynasty members to have kingly traits (kind, diligent, brave) this also increases their loyalty to their king
4: I believe the ideal laws are as follows
medium or high crown authority
minimum vassal/city/church levies (high vassal levies to begin with when crown authority is low)
10% vassal tax (0% to begin with when you are small and your demesne provides most of the cash)
35% church tax
maximum city tax 45%
6: don't spend money on stuff you don't need, always have lots of cash ready to bribe the pope, raise emergency mercenaries and things
Never needed that, i always got rid of the dukedoms. Smashed all of them once a king was about to die. I never had problems with uprisings after the first 50 years.
I had lowest crown authority and elective monarchy so i very rarely had any problems. It was just annoying spending a chunk of every game getting rid of those pesky dukes. Eventually i just stopped playing it after i beat the holy roman empire in open field as sweden after i had conquered all of scandinavia and the baltikum/poland
Once you beat the biggest kid on the playground its not fun anymore. Too much work that game. EU3 is much better. Eu4 sucks.
You're not meant to blob in CK2 you fucking autist. The idea is to run a successful kingdom, and further your dynasty. Destroying the dukedoms is anti-fun, you need to have a couple of powerful dukes to crush every couple of generations. It's much more fun if you have a couple of kingdoms with your relatives on the thrones.
Don't create empires or you will get bored. Run the empire area as seperate kingdoms with alliances.
the most un-fun thing to do in CK2 is blob and make all your vassals counts, its been dubbed "north-korea" mode.
I don't even think you can do it anymore, there's a limit on the number of lower-end vassals you can have
>implying i dont have a qt conservative aryan gf
You fucking femenized bitch boys are the reason more and more girls are going for niggers. All you wimps are playing vydia while monsters are fucking white women who don't really want them. Niggers play sport while you idiots sit in your basement playing games. Girls don't want those hideous niggers but you are giving them no choice. If you contribute to this then you deserve to have your genes destroyed.
>>implying i dont have a qt conservative aryan gf
Most nerds here don't. This generation is a generation raised on video games that have become fucking wimps. Previous generations used to chase niggers out with sticks and niggers knew their place. Now they walk all over you and spit in your face and you wimps don't do anything about it.
>You're not meant to blob in CK2 you fucking autist. The idea is to run a successful kingdom, and further your dynasty.
In a game where you can play as the Mongols and conduct holy war to claim the holy land and defeat Islam, or unite the HRE..
"You're not meant to blob".
You're a fucking retard. The whole point of the game is to play it in different ways. Grand conquest is very fun. Some of the most fun I've had is playing pagans trying to create a grand empire and having to fight against my empire being split up by gavelkind succession. Having to plot to kill my kin to ensure the success of the empire is tricky, all the while racing to change laws and christianize.
You're supposed to have FUN. You talk about "anti-fun" in a post literally berating people for the way they enjoy the game. Eat shit.
Anybody plays Prison Architect? You send nigger to jail.
>all these CK2 plebs
HoI3 is fine though.
Vicky II is best game though, even though HoI3 has a 10/10 combat system.
>frequently watches anime
They din do nuffin rong!
HAHA time for market freedom.
Probably because he blobbed all the way into China judging by his statistics. His artisans are probably purchasing RGO off the internal market. It doesn't mean the economy is in good shape.
>he blobbed all the way into China judging by his statistics
>Russia occupying half of Norway
You're still negatively impacting your economy by the tariffs. It means that other nations have a much harder time purchasing from you as well, meaning that the demand isn't even close to what it could've been.
full subsidies, no taxes, large gov surplus, near half the population has every amenity they could ever ask for and the other half has everything they ever need...sounds pretty good to me.
Did you know brigades can betray you?
I just don't fucking get why paradox don't make a game with the economy of vic, battle system of HOI, political system of CK and the fun of EU, it honestly can be the best game ever.
>I just don't fucking get why paradox don't make a game with the economy of vic, battle system of HOI, political system of CK and the fun of EU, it honestly can be the best game ever.
They did, and they cancelled it.
they probably thought it would be too complicated
Aye, HoI is so easy even a dog could play it. What mod are you playing there BTW.
You messed up the race.
Just francescos counter mod.
It was an independent dev team with Paradox acting as publisher. The dev team was a disaster - failed to work together, failed to meet deliverables, failed to pass some basic QA - and Paradox pulled the plug. The full story can be found in a couple places on the PDS forums.

I know, but holy shit the game had so much potential. The leaked beta is just insanely promising even though half the game is broken. Their ideas and concepts really were quite visible, and had the right execution to them.
That story was entire bullshit cooked up after people got mad at canceling the game.
You want to know the real reason it got cancelled? They didn't want it to upstage HoI4 which is looking to be a giant pile of shit. And they didn't want people to notice they're going to ransack the code for things they want to use but are incapable of coming up with themselves, just like they did with Magna Mundi.
He's partially right. The dev team was running very late on the game.
It is Paradox' fault though because they had to reinvent everything on their own because Paradox wouldn't give them more than the base HoI3 game.
That game is like Dorf Fortress in space with an even less intuitive mechanic system.
>Spend hours building up shit, figuring out all the aspects.
>Takes forever to figure out that you can't just explore the universe regularly, you need to jump through wormholes.
>Finally set up the Enterprise to explore.
>Encounter space aliens.
>Decide to shoot lazers at them just because.
>Nothing happens because apparently you need a power plant on the shape to recharge them.
>Rage quit as it had taken that long to even figure that out.
Altogether a boss game, I liked the idea that you could research your own unique sub-species that would be more able to survive on harsher planets. And having to research your own variations on weapons instead of just handing them to you.
But whole fuck is it complicated.
Ck2 good game. Can re-created the HRE as it was millennia ago.
Yeah, game is piss easy if you game the systems. But so is every other paradox gsg.
Why do the brits always declare war on me to take back their land? I always end up smashing them and taking more of their land...
