So those marks have nothing to do with centuries of arid weather and sand being constantly blown up against the rocks?
>>
>British Egyptologist, Sir. William Flinders Petrie, recognized that these tools were insufficient. He explored this anomaly thoroughly in "Pyramids and Temples of Gizeh," and expressed amazement about the methods the ancient Egyptians used to cut hard igneous rocks. He credited them with methods that "......we are only now coming to understand." So why do modern mainstream Egyptologists insist that this work was accomplished with a few primitive copper instruments?

>>
>>31433712
I'm assuming you've never worked as a stonemason. Also slaves didn't build the pyramids, but groups of skilled workers and people paying off taxes by working. To get straight cuts you dont really need laser tech, just sand and a bit of copper. The outer stones were not chiseled, that takes way too much time and its easy to fuck up. Sanding is fast and gets perfect edges. Also you dont have to use up copper to replace chisels. Basically you take a thin copper plate (rectangular, sort of like a saw with handles but the copper plate is not jagged but straight) and you "saw" the stone while pouring sand on it, so basically the sand cuts the stone. Regarding transportation of the stones, the quarry was not far and the area could've easily been flooded to use barges. The Nile has changed its course over the centuries and it has been much close to the pyramids during the time of the Pharaohs. Anyone who thinks humans could not have achieved such splendor and build such a monument with their own intelligence should crawl into a hole and die because he and the idea of muh aliens are an insult to humanity.

As in you can make a table out of ~40 year old tree, carbon date it and get results wide as "it will be made in 350 years". If it dates 85 million +-5 million, who cares.

Carbon dating is useless past about 50k years but its irrelevant because there are significantly more accurate, more precise and with much longer time scales useful for dating chronologically different objects, and they all generally agree with one another, so you get multiple lines of evidence supporting one overlapping range of dates for a high degree of accuracy in your dating.

Just because we found out people in the past weren't as stupid as we presumed them to be (which was always a stupid position to take on our part because anatomically modern humans have been around for longer than modern human agricultural civilization has been around) doesn't mean some magical Atlantean sort of super society with advanced technologies based on crystals transmitted to them by the lizard people living on the moon existed.

I don't think you realize that foundations, even once removed, leave very distinct soil changes which remain for extensive periods of time (we're talking thousands of years) and can be detected with ground penetrating radar and other ground penetration techniques used widely in archaeology.

As well as all the artifacts that would remain such as our massive fucking garbage dumps, which are extremely detectable and will remain in place for tens of thousands of years due to the amount of plastics and metals in them.

>>
>>31435761

Otherwise archaeologists would be out of a fucking job.

>There's evidence that there used to be an ocean

There were lots of bodies of water in places they didn't use to be. The entire landmass of planet Earth was once one broad landmass called Pangaea, with vasly different temperatures, climates and environments, including different bodies of water located throughout.

The entire state where I live is made up of fucking limestone, which was the result of billions of microscopic and larger water dwelling life forms dying and accumulating at the bottom of the body of water and calcreting into rock.

Further, Egyptians built lots of smaller pyramids and lots of smaller tombs, and modern Egypt is significantly drier than ancient Egypt due to climate changes and silting up and closing off of channels of the Nile over time.

What's your point?
>>
>>31435882
Yup.

Herculaneum was found underneath an entire other, modern Italian city whose name escapes me and I'm too lazy to google at the mo.

>>31435834
>Furthermore, we have created systems that require maintenance, without someone there to control these system, our cities could rapidly destroy themselves.

No, buildings will crumble, but the foundations will remain and even if they are removed, the soil changes in chemical composition which is directly detectable for extremely long periods of time.

There will be mountains of evidence that we existed for future anthropologists to dig up, which is kinda cool when you think about it.

How does this in any way support (this assuming you're still the same poster that this discussion I'm having started with that asserted past populations were at least as advanced and modern populations technologically) the claim that past populations were as advanced if not more so than modern populations?

Just because some pyramids are still under 10 tons of sand doesn't support that these things were built by a super advanced civilization.

Egypt had a very large population for its time period, which allowed it to engage in some pretty impressive structures. But so did the Mesopotamians. Except they didn't have access to the quarries Egypt had, so what they did instead, was similarly impressive structures, but with hard fired mud bricks.

The best theory going I have found regarding this is the 'Dominator Culture' outlined first by Riane Eisler and refined by others over the years like Terrance McKenna.

The basic idea is that starting with the agricultural revolution about 10k years ago, only 10k years after the last glacial maximum when human populations were reduced to a few million in two base camps, one African, one Euro based, the cooperative culture slowly dissolved as accumulation of wealth began. Can be tied into the matriarchal societies drifting towards patriarchal which benefits the few over the last 2000 years. The discovery of distilled alcohol production is probably also tied in. The drunken ape may bring about the downfall of civilization as we know it.

I have a pet theory that there are many earth like planets formed constantly. These are like eggs in the universe but mortality is high. Some embryonic fetal planets mature into something wonderful but most are relegated to the garbage bin of the universe. Our earth has simply squandered its massive mineral and fossil fuel resources in large tribal wars over the last 2000 years and its life forms will probably not progress to the great enlightenment.

We may only have a few billion years left before earths core cools and the atmosphere blows away, our sun burns out and the planet just another lifeless rock in the universe.

What that great enlightenment would be I have no idea but we are nowhere close. We are dying lel.

Guys, if you can go with the simple explanation rather than the complex one, do it.

>How you granite with bronze tools ?!?!

You don't, you use granite tools, they will both wear out but in the end you'd get the job done. Got the tool broken - get a granite rock and start smashing.

>but muh straight lines

Get a rock, tied it to a string, you'd get a vertical straight line every time

>but muh angles

You draw a line, put two sticks in it, use a strings to draw two circles that touch each other center. Where they intersect you'd get a right angle to the line. Use some planks to make an an angle and go with it from there on.

>but muh transportation

Wooden logs to roll the rocks to river barges, wooden logs to roll the rocks to construction side.

>but muh placement

Cover place with sand, load rock on top. Shovel off the sand, set rock in to place.

Those people had little in terms of technology but they were not stupid. They used what little they had to make do.

I do not exclude aliums but only provided we really can't explain how they did it, so far we are able to do so for the most part.

The answer to this question leads down the blackhole of 'State Secrets' that is maintained by the same psychopathic Nazi elements that assassinated Nikola Tesla for his acoustic levitation technologies nearly 70 years ago, as the first move that began World War 2 and the successful Nazi takeover of America.

They used cement
They would bring in shittons of limestone, a yet unidentified binder, throw them in to a mold on site, pump water in, then mix
After it sets enough to be solid they slid the mold out
Further expansion as it dried would be what made them butt close to each other
They or nature itself would sand them down to make them smooth

Modern Egyptology says the Pharaohs simply used slaves (mostly blacks, women and gays) to smash the rocks into the shapes they wanted.

They had no tools we can find whatsoever, but we know the evils of the Patriarchy existed, so therefore the evil lighter-skinned male Egyptians oppressed everyone else and then, pyramids.

What energies?

There is a hypothesis that the mass of the pyramids is large enough to microscopically slow down time relative to the pyramids.

What we would classify as modern human civilization, ie collectivization into central locations we call population centers, probably does go back to around 12,000 BCE or possibly even a few thousand years earlier.

Doesn't mean they were very advanced technologically. In fact its the lack of technological advancement that lead to most of their mud huts being lost to time.

Modern homo sapiens appeared roughly 200,000 years ago from the archaic homo sapiens populations.

Both populations had some degree of cross over with anatomically modern humans in Europe and Asia according to genomic research and recent findings in places like Siberia.

Think the amount was pretty small overall, like 1% ish or so of the modern human genome is shared with these now extinct populations.

Its also debatable whether either of those populations should really be considered separate species from modern homo sapiens due in part to their capacity for cross breeding successfully with homo sapien populations.

Look, there's no missing links between apes and humans because humans didn't evolve from apes. Apes and humans evolved from a common ancestor. If you find a pile of bones that looks like it's from a proto-monkey or a proto-person because they're not going to be extremely genetically dissimilar from their immediate ancestors or descendants.

I mean, shit, do you know how hard it is to even tell 10,000 year old pig bones from 10,000 year old human bones?

The concept of Evolution simply asserts that, before humans existed, there was something else and that it is a safe assumption to assume that other mammals that are extremely genetically similar to us also came from this common ancestor.

Still waiting for actual proof. Not pretty little graphs and scientific guesses.
