I was taking that job because I was desperate for money at all while trying to look for a job in my field (still looking). And no one gave a single fuck I was the most educated in the room. They took it like a threat. Every time promotions came around, they promoted the retarded girls who dropped out of highschool or were literally in highschool but they were cute...

I worked at Dominoes for 5 years and was never promoted higher than assistant manager because it was only a franchise and I work directly under him. It was a complete dead end. I went to college and have a master's and make 5 times what I made there.

I've recently gone back to the restaurant business as a side job. It's a pit of desperation, shame and patheticness. I'm never quitting my day job to return.
