Whatever our political differences and disagreements we have on pol/ we all agree that popular culture is degenerate, decadent, vacuous and fake. We understand that the majority of the general public are living in a fantasy world oblivious to reality especially when it comes to modern day mellenials. This fantasy land that has been created as a result of modern day media has created a weak, naive and idealistic population which subsequently has allowed the Overton to move further to the left.
Just by looking at the trending videos on YouTube is an eye opening experience to this fantasy world. The number #1 trending video is Miley Cyrus virtue signalling and crying over hurricane Harvey. Then the comments like "she is so brave". Then another video about a bimbo called Katie Price (been married 4 times, has 4 kids from different men) talking about how she caught her new husband fucking the nanny in their house.
This is not a healthy society it is a degenerate one. Instead of talentless celebs crying from a distance at pain and suffering of others just to virtue signal to their fans or some sluts husband having an affair shouldn't the trending section be about the economy? History? Art? Philosophy? Politics?
Of course not. Because that would mean at citizenry that was knowledgeable and aware... And we know the interests that would not like that.
So I thought since the rest of mainstream society is living in a fantasy land artificially created and supported by the elites why not enrich and better ourselves by gaining knowledge, reading, learning new languages, getting into position s of power all the while the rest of society descends into a hedonistic orgy of oblivion at least we will be the ones on the top.

It's quite literally one of the worst systems of government but you don't agree because either you are used to it or it's more contrarian to like capitalism than it is to not

What have you done today to improve your mental/physical/spiritual wellbeing anon?

Modern society is to blame for there being so many people who don't deserve to live. Most people in the West used to harden as they grow on their own, like anywhere else. Now without effort you can remain indefinitely infantile due to our decadence. There were always outliers that became like this throughout history, but now the general masses have succumbed to this condition. There is no longer a rite of passage into adulthood, you can be sheltered and live comfortably. This is de-evolution. Everyone has a dandy-ol time being a degenerate well into their 50s. Constant entertainment, pre-cooked meals and pornography has robbed us of our man-hood.

Realize that to live is to struggle. Really internalize this truth in your being and actions and when possible spread it to others that you care about.

In the end the Natural Order will always prevail. Nature is inherently fascist. The modern world is a world that goes completely against nature and the results are telling. It's tearing itself apart.

Nevertheless you as an individual can always chose to go against the flow and struggle and persevere while the rest of society rots and withers away. It's not an easy path, but you go on because you know that you are in the right and that in the end you will be vindicated.

Exactly because the modern world is so self-destructive half the battle is just weathering the storm until the whole edifice has degenerated so much that we can rise and deal the final blow.

Live to live your life correctly and that will bring happiness to yourself and those around you.

I own a small business and I can easily pay an extra 5% in taxes. If everyone had more money I would sell more product and make way more than 5%

Tell me again why universal basic income doesn't make sense?

I didn't know black people existed until I was 12 years old.
I live in Ireland and was brought up in the city, but never saw any. We moved to the countryside and I still never saw any. Didn't spend my life on the internet so still didn't know.

When I was like 10 my friends mum described an Eddie Murphy scene about a "big black hand coming out of a fountain" and I was confused about why a persons hand was "black."

Only when I was 12 and saw a black kid join our school did I come to realise they existed.
Anywhere else in the world where kids could grow up like this?
