Grow up and accept the shit with the gold. Politics has never been more interesting, especially if you don't mind hearing about the post-socialist/capitalist ideological conflict in south America caused by the Soviets and Americans propping up governments there.
Politics is currently the greatest insight into the human condition that the contemporary media affords us.

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, the Right wing people, and even just ordinary people that love their country are beginning to have enough of the Left's bullshit. It's been happening in Europe for a while, quietly, but for the first time in decades, the sleeping giant that is Nationalism in America is beginning to awaken from it's long slumber.
This could mean one of two things:
1. the Right takes back control the democratic way
2. some guy comes around and unites the right
I'm sure you all know that, unfortunately, option #2 is far more likely at the moment. Capitol Hill republicans, for the most part, are just as bad as the leftists in government. They play the Capitol Hill game to get powerful, while screwing us all over back home. And it's been happening for YEARS. They're addicted to the power, and WILL NOT let go willingly. They'll have to be forced out.
You all are surely familiar with a past example of this occurring. A young chap named Adolf decided to unite the nationalists of Germany and "fix" Germany.
While the circumstances for the rise of the American dictator, which I now believe to be an eventual certainty, are different. We didn't lose a major war and sink into massive debt because our neighbors are dicks to us. But the feeling is very reminiscent of 1930s Germany. For all the faults of the left, they're not wrong about the rise of "totalitarianism" in the USA, though never in the way they'd expect it or want it to be. I think we as Americans are on the verge of witnessing the rise of a dictator, whose stated purpose is also to "fix" America.
TBQH, I'm not completely opposed to this idea, dependent on a few things:
Makes America powerful
The guy isn't a cunt to the people
There's lots of new military shit
Feels good to be in powerful America again
No awful people ruining my country because they've been hunted down

Where does the leader come from, though? Is he currently a politician or military man? Then he can't be trusted. Is he a leader of a militia or group like Identity Evropa? You should pray that day never comes. In every country where a right-wing authoritarian comes to power, as soon as they depart, the political landscape swings hard to the left for decades.

It happened in Greece
It happened in Spain
It happened in Portugal
It happened in Brazil
It happened in Chile
It happened in Argentina
And it will happen here if we ever get a right-wing dictator of our own. In the long run, it will become a millstone hung around all but the most docile and controlled opposition strains of thoughts on the right wing of the spectrum.

Can we either squash this right now or actually convince me of its validity? I've heard this argument take so many forms, but at the end of the day, I cannot help but assign specific behavior to distinct groups. And if race is a social construct, what then isn't? Sexuality? Gender? I'm highly suspicious.
