There's no explanation as to why the objects can't just be put in a marked box and stored away like what used to be common practice. It isn't clear why they're not sold as souvenirs to the public (that can restore them at home as a hobby) either. It is claimed the motive is to 'not create a market' for cultural artefacts. My guess is it's simply due to a complete lack of regard for Swedish cultural heritage and a complete lack of respect. Entire organizations now care so little for thousands of years of Swedish art and heritage that they rather just toss ancient artefacts in the trash than let the general public preserve them.

Pic is an artefact from Birka (~800ad) that Johan Runer claims would 'likely be recycled' if it was found today.

Trump is the worst thing to have happened to /pol/.

Beyond just flooding this place with hordes of undisguised, unabashed redditors, the Trump cult's rise has simultaneously adopted and diluted /pol/ ideological uniqueness into meaningless.
/pol/ is no longer really as "edgy" as it has been even 2 years ago. The genuinely Nazi side of it (as prevalent since 2013) has been almost thoroughly wiped out. What's worse - after Trump's undeniable failure to deliver on the goods promised and his pivot to (((Their))) side, /pol/ has adopted all the traditional cuckservative & neocon/neolib talking points. Now you see people actually defending the 1%'s blatant kikery and financial capitalism, things not even the lolbritarians of old barely if ever did.
/pol/ now, by and large, hates Based Assad, supports the (((wars))), and is much more willing to compromise with the ultimately defeatist American White view of the culture wars.
