So dirty!
Aren't you cleaning after use in your school?
I was interested in getting a laser cutter for papercraft. I am a little amazed that it can cut in just the right depth for fold lines. Can this laser do other material too?
I bought a Silhouette Cameo for papercraft instead. Does a great job, saves so much time its incredible.
Sorry for the late response, I only wander through this board occasionally.
I clean it about once a week. Cutting through wood makes a lot of sap like resin. It builds up pretty fast.
It works great for engraving in a score line to fold on. That just requires running it a bit faster so it isn't able to cut through.
I haven't done much origami with it because I don't have the right files made for them.
The main thing I have been making recently is double sided flat figures, like in the picture attached. These ones are bulette (land sharks) mini figures for dungeons and dragons.
I have a couple of pepakura projects that I'm working on too. I recently had an idea to laminated fabric to a piece of thick card stock paper before cutting. Then when I apply the resin it will have something to absorb into. I think it would make the plasticising easier.
The wavelength of light can cut mostly organic materials like wood, paper, leather, and some plastics. There are some things the light just bounces off of like fiberglass and metal. And there are some things that vaporising them causes problems, like pvc which creates Chlorine gas.

>we worked hard to get the file size limit raised
>so please don't make use of it and compress your images
There was a big debate about reducing the cost of servers when chinkmoot said that 4chan was loosing money. Data showed that the cost of small boards were very marginal (except for some like /gif/ or /wg/).
Anyway, now we have /vip/ and clickbait ads and archived threads are still a thing so i guess the server cost is not a problem anymore (for now).
