>>
Let's make a new one.
>>
>>511747
yes, i'm joining in this thread
>>
Is it allowed by the rules to post a link to the previous thread (a copy of it from an archiving site) so that newcomers can easily enjoy the shared books?
>>
>>511758
I dont think that anyone will give any trouble if you do
>>
>>511742

As the old thread was closed, I would like to repeat my share (I do not want to mention the title, but it is about folding green paper stripes you use to buy things e.g. in shops etc. and many people asked for this book recently).

Thanks, but I can't help but notice how it appears
to have come from a couple of different versions of
the book. Can someone provide a complete
copy that came from a single version of the book?

The double crane looks pretty interesting as well.

If that can help someone find it, the english translation of the title and author name are roughly:
"The art of surprise made from one sheet of paper - Real origami" by Fukui Hisao.

>>
>>512678
Fantastic model! Thanks for sharing!
>>
>>512696
Only the stegosaurus and the stag beetle are 2-pieces, the other ones are 1-piece models.
Many are better folded in mono-color paper, because the final model shows both sides of the paper.

No problem! The code for License to Fold is "Book". Send it to the email address and you've got yourself a gift. ;-)
>>
>>512831
Oh, I am not sure if you understand me. I am not looking for codes. Btw I already have code from License to Fold from here: http://www.origami-shop.com/en/secret-code-book-origami-xsl-220_667.html
But I am looking for books from Nicolas Terry Presents(for example Passion Origami, Licence to Fold, Sequence Origami, ...) in digital form like e-book from here: http://www.origami-shop.com/en/ebooks-passion-origami-collection-xsl-206_284_222_554.html
It means these books are not scaned, but in orginal products quality. For example VOG, and VOG 2 are already here in old topic in this quality.
>>
>>512832
Oh, Swapnil Das once shared the license to fold, hang on, I'll get the link in a minute.
>>
>>512832
http://www.mediafire.com/download/fv4tq45nrz5tgc6/License+To+Fold+%28Nicolas+Terry%29.pdf
>>
>>512839
That one's an original e-book format.
>>
>>512840
Thanks, but this is not orginal ebook. This is scaned version.
>>
>>512850
It's at least as clear as the original e-book version.
>>
>>512851
Well, this scan is not bad, but the quality is really far from the orginal e-book. :D
>>
OTM 146, Please!
>>
>>512817
>>512832
>>512850
>>512854

You should really be happy with what you can
get instead of being so picky about being an
e-book. Most people aren't going to purchase
e-books. They buy the physical book and then scan
them. VOG 1 and 2 were also scanned books.
Someone just did a really good job with them.
>>
>>512871
No, VOG 1 and 2 are orginal ebooks, which you can pursche with physical books (costs +1,5 EUR, if I remember). And VOG 1 I found on internet in both versions, scaned and orginal e-book. Here you can see VOG 1, 2 like orginal ebooks (from internet)
http://www.mediafire.com/download/55cug9ft8hhcxm3/VOG2.zip
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-LqQIxf7w_fd05sSFNCYkl3Qjg/edit

And btw, why I shouldn't wanted more. You should be happy from what you have, it means, you shouldn't visit this page. Everybody wants more. This is reallity. You are here on this webpage, because you also want more books, diagrams, CP, ...
>>
>>512872
You're right, I do want more. Books that I don't
have yet, but I don't really give a damn whether
they are e-books or not. I'm perfectly happy with
photocopied or scanned books as well. I don't
have to be that picky about what they look like
as long as I can see the diagrams and read them.
>>

So I dunno. Sure seems like thats the book. maybe he has an early copy or something?

If I'm not mistaken, it doesn't seem like a CP/diagrams exist for that rabbit.

All the people I can find on flickr and stuff who folded it mentioned that there are no diagrams. Seems like Koh taught it to them personally or something.

If it's useful, Gen Hagiwara has a similar looking rabbit. It's got diagrams in COS 13 which was posted here recently.

Hello All!
My name is Miroslav Mrajca and I am editor of all Czech (COS) Convention books. You should know, that all forms of sharing these books is illegal. I worked on this book about 2 months for COS with hope that this society will get some money for next existing. And now it is here "free" for download. I am really sad from this and I request you, please, delete all links for this book and in better case from your PCs and NEVER SHARE ANY BOOKS BY COS. If you want these books, you can buy them from origami-shop.com. If you will don't do it, I will not continue with this work and you will never see next COS books, because I don't see any reason why I should edit next books. (I am only one person who is able to do these books.)

Thanks for understanding
>>
>>513998
Yeah, you're totally right. Piracy sucks for content creators.

I think though, that the origami community is small and tight-knit enough that people actually think about supporting creators and stuff.

Well I feel like this argument is bullshit in other communities, I think that in this one, the people pirating stuff actually are people who CAN'T buy it.

And personally, I'd rather see people who can't buy be able to fold stuff.

I will say though, that people who could buy this stuff but choose to download it are assholes.
>>
>>514001
Well, guess what? The one bitching about it above (Miroslav Mrajca) who is mirekmrajca in a bunch
of origami websites does exactly the same thing. He downloads books from all the Origami sharing
sites, and then wants to bitch and gripe because someone is sharing stuff from his own country.
Apparently it's OK from his point of view to share everything else as long as it doesn't come from the Czech Republic. There's your asshole.
>>
Funny how everyone always mentions Nicholas Terry as an alternative to pirating. Let's all keep lining his pockets with money as he solidifies his status as the sole gatekeeper of origami.
>>
Raptor Jesus
>>
The best with this site - is that I quickly find out what books I want to buy - and them I never use a penny on. So - there is a other side to this; they who do a good job and have high quality in there models - them I buy!!!!

Dear Mr. or Ms. Miroslav Mrajca,
I would like to express my deep gratitude to your work and your contribution to origami community around the world.
However, I don't see any problem with our share of this book at this site. Maybe you can be surprised when reading this but please listen to my explanation.
We share the book, but we don't print it out for commercial use. I believe that most of people here will use that book personally. "I download this one but only for personal use" I swear so I don't understand what the problem is.
Like a song, you can sing a song anytime anywhere without licence, right?? Everyone around the world can sing a song without permission of composer, right?? of course if they do not perform this for commercial purpose. However, I totally agree with you that they must PAY ROYALTY FEE IF THEY WANNA EARN MONEY FROM THESE such as in a musical performance, opera concert, etc.
Finally, you can disagree with my opinion and do not publish any COS any more. However, please think about Windown OS. Do you know why it is so popular all over the world?? From my point of view, this comes from strategy of Microsoft. He lets users access his product nearly freely, but he charges any company/organization/individual that want to make money from it. That's why everybody wants to use Windown or at least knows how to use Windown, which means popularity.
What a pity if you decide not to edit COS any longer. It will be a loss not only for origami fans like me but also for your reputation. Thank you for your understanding if you can read until now.

Hi, I made the Ryujin 3.5 photodiagram lesson course. I am aware it's not my design, also I've never charged anyone for it. I ask those taking the course not to distribute it because
1. it works best to go in sequence without skipping lessons,
2. I can help those taking the course with any special problems or unclear steps, because I made the guide, after all
3. To prevent it from being distributed incomplete. There is an introductory document, and each photo guide pdf has an accompanying .doc with explanatory notes.

If anyone wants to take the course, please contact me through my flickr-

Ori-folder, I'm disappointed. In the future please refer interested parties to me.
>>

ehh why not just make it all freely available and let people give it a try if they want.

It's not a perfect guide, in fact it even uses a different method to transition creases at the shoulders than what's on the official CP. It shows how to make the dragon from two 1x2 rectangles instead of from one whole square. The final model that I worked so hard to make came out way under my expectations, I feel like I'd have to make a whole new dragon (from a single square) with a better head, feet and body curve before I think the course is 100% finished anyway. If it was distributed I'd need to make sure everyone understands that it's only a guide to how I collapse and shape the model, and that may differ from Kamiya's or anyone else's.
>>
Anyway looking for photos for following models, thanks advance:

Brainchan: sailormoon 2008
