What messenger bags do you people recommend? I just got the AmazonBasics DSLR bag but I got the large model when I'd be better off with getting the medium model instead, I rarely carry more gear than my Sony A6000, the 18-105 f/4 and maybe a prime.
I've mostly seen Lowepro and Retrospective stuff get recommended but they're on the slightly expensive side, is there anything worth grabbing in the $50-100 range?
The main thing I care about is easy access to the gear, I don't want to have a billion different straps and locks I have to maneuver because otherwise I might as well just get a backpack.

Just get whatever bag you like the look of and get a insert that fits it.

That's true, I bet just any laptop messenger bag would have enough padding, it's not like I swing the bag around and use it as a sledgehammer

I have this guy for walking around town. For me It hold 2-3 lenses, camera body, 3 extra camera batteries, dual battery charger, 3500ma backup battery, a few lens filters, SD cards, microfiber cloth, brush.
It's a tight fit but it's a good everyday case for the non pro.

OP here, this looks like the best one so far. Not the most manly thing in the world but it has good reviews and doesn't have retarded design choices that makes it a pain in the ass to use.

The reviews for that says the design is retarded and that you have to enter the bag from the back and that the front flap barely fills any purpose

I'd have to admit, that is pretty accurate but does it do the job it's supposed to do? Yes it does.
For $30 I won't complain.

BTW one could argue that having them case open "backwards" is a great pick pocket deterrent. I use mine in the city so that's actually a concern for me.
