Hello,
My name is Chosis and I am organizing the Jan 2018 /p/hotobook. Here are some ideas. Please feel free to add stuff to the public document found here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sEn08e6uAPBAcbSq51IrkAFu7giyawM9uBamkyqN2kU/edit
All submissions must be water mark free though there will be a ref section at the end where you can shill your brand. It will also be all color and high quality images I'm talking at least 8.5 x12inchs 300 DPI minimum resolution
Photography book
Ideas:
I was thinking we could have themes and subcategories for each
2. City/street
3. Portrait
White person
Black person
Asian person
4. Pictures that tell a strong narrative
e.g Man holding girl’s left hand while girl looks away in the distance, supposedly with a
scenic view in the background
5. Contrasts
Old vs young
Machine vs nature
Big vs small
6. Nature/landscape
Trees
Mountains
Water

Give yourself a trip and make sure that natureguy isn't doing something similar. After last year's disaster hopefully he's willing to pass the torch to you. Good luck my dude. I'll contribute later
>>3147316
I have to set up the dropbox for public upload.
yah i saw the book for last year and i was very disappointing with the quality. People were pretty conceited and not willing to submit full quality pics for fear of them "being stolen"

>>3147569
Yes i have no doubt he could do it but I can tell by his work and his website design that it'll be terrible.
Who's doing 2017?
>themes
No
>>3147572
>maybe hes the solution we deserve right now.
Iggy said he would do it again for us next year.
>>3147283

>>3147564
i'm not a newfag. i've been here for years
>>3147568
I programmed the whole website myself by hand. I could have easily have used a template but I wanted to make a custom commenting system
You clearly have no taste in pictures, so obviously you should not be the one to do it.
>>3147757
>programmed the whole website

And stop bumping this shit thread.

>>3147587
Yes that's right Iggy did say he would do it next year! Idk why the fag is still trying to do next years book when there's still 3 months of this year.
Where is the 2017 book tho
I've only found a low-res pdf, how do I get the real thing
>>3148736
There is still 3 months to the year left why are you asking for submissions now i dont get it?
>>3147321
The book hasn't been released yet, all you've seen is the low rez draft.
Cretin.
>>3147756
>I'm not a newfag
Literally the most newfag thing you can say
>>3147436
This is in the Hill District? How long ago?
>>3149106
>that's the thing. Iggy never pulled through. He never delivered a physical product and that low quality PDF he posted was very low quality.
Iggy didn't do the 2016 book, NatureGuy is. Iggy did 2015. He did deliver, but was pretty late with it.
You stupid fucking newfag, I hope your cancer spreads to your whole body.
>>3149140
>2017
>unironically projecting your fear of death onto a random anon on a internet image board
Can you link me to the 2016 and 2015 books so I can review them.
Also how much did they charge for physical prints?
thanks

All feedback is very valuable to me given that I have stage 3 bone cancer. I am really trying to live life in the photography "fast lane". Just because I have cancer doesn't mean you have to be nice in your comments, I want the complete human experience. Happy photo taking.
