I find my fisheye useful from time to time. As long as it's cheap and unobtrusive, it's got some merit - but I would never buy and carry around one of those massive DSLR fisheyes.

I suspect you're thinking about rectilinear ultrawides.
Fisheyes are much smaller and cheaper.

I do use a "massive" 15-30 f/2.8 as my main general purpose lens.
But then I'm not a manlet.

Yes this is p/ where gear faggotry is king.
I have my 10.5 fisheye, and use it when the subject will work with it, or better yet the lens will work better for the subject. It is like anything else, you have to learn how to use it, and when. I know for some that you have to work with it makes it automatically stupid, and useless.
