Hey guys, total noob here.
I am trying to make a low quality live music video for one of my songs with a Canon Powershot G11 and a Tripod.
How do you edit together different camera angles like in the video below? Do you need multiple cameras?
Also, are there any decent free camera editing softwares to adjust contrast and put filters on the video?

>>3101350
why not delete this thread and ask in the /vid/eo general thread instead?
You can do multiple cameras or you can do different angles with the one camera and move it around for each take.

/p/hilosophy thread I guess.
What's the purpose of photography? Film/digital/prints will eventually fade or be destroyed anyway. Why do anything at all if it's all going to be destroyed (10, 100, 1000 years or more from now)

Why?

palladium prints can live 1000 years.
film negs can wait 100 years before dev, and can come out pretty fine.
digicuckold tecknology is the most feeble of all. if you turn off the camera in the wrong time it can erase all your pics, corrupt the card and shit itself on all your "photos". so fuck digiworms and fuck digicams lol.
>>3102007
Most things created today will be destroyed within 100 years.
A photograph can still affect a generation, even if it disappears after 100 years.

Listen, I know that all you canikonfags are sucking Apple's dick pretty hard, but I think it's time that you really considered jumping to the Microsoft ecosystem. They've made some real technological gains over over the past few years to the point that even pro 8x10 LF photographers are shooting tethered with a Microsoft tablet.

This is a meme right?
it's small, more than good enough and has many lenses.
just stumbled to this on the web. its a collection of 5 books, each with a photographer paired with a writer. photog provides the photos and writer tells a story based on them. theres hido, ballen, and some other pretty decent guys. would have loved the same collection without the dumb text. im sort of mad because its cheap, but its ruined too, so wont buy.
photobook thread i guess. hope this one goes beyond 30 posts.
>>3097373
>ruined too
What do you mean?
>>3097779
the insertion of text, the whole concept, is distracting and forced. maybe it COULD have worked better with original pics, but there are already seen photos inside, so its lazy too.
I bought all these and no one cares but in this thread just 1 person might care and find it neat so it's good enough.
I got all these, they should be coming in handy. Every time i look at these professional photographers I feel more and more significant.
How do you shoot erotic photography? I hired a model for a nude erotic shoot and I've never done one before. Do you basically pose her in ways that would make your dick hard or is there more to it? I feel like it will be distracting trying to focus on getting good shots when I'm looking at her and thinking I want to fuck her (she's young and very pretty), but on the other hand, if I rub one out before the shoot I don't think I'll be able to really tell what's erotic and what isn't if I'm not horny.

I think you might use a camera to do it. The camera might need batteries though, or so I've heard. Also something about a lens maybe.

might be a little dated but still very helpful in terms of inspiration/ideas
Just because i'm curious: what is your plan and why? You want to sell those pics, private porn collection or is it more for artistic purposes?
Here we discuss techniques, gear and anything else related to capturing video footage. Please don't pretend to be an expert if you don't know what you're talking about.
Posting short films or other work you've done is encouraged.
We tend to use and recommend DSLRs/mirrorless cameras because they provide phenomenal picture quality for their price, have large sensors (ie the same size used in high-end cinema cameras) and have interchangeable lenses.

Is using LUT's to color grade the proper way to color grade? It feels amateurish to just load up some pre made settings, slightly twik them and call it a day. Nearly every tutorial on YT has this workflow but don't want to be meme'd.
How do professionals color grade?
Went to Sweden to climb cracks and drink cheap beer.

Howdy /p/, /diy/ requesting assistance. I know your sticky says gear threads are discouraged, but the only QTDDTOT I could find is some numbnut asking dumb questions about pirated photoshop, so here I go.
In a deceased estate I got pic related, a Pentax P30 and a "Calypso" Nikonos II underwater camera. I am perfectly comfortable pulling these down and restoring them to function for sale (assuming they're dead, I have not really played with them short of brushing dust off and making sure 30 year old batteries haven't raped them) but I'm not sure if I should bother. Pricing seems all over the shop for both models. To me, the Nikonos seems like a neat unit, but for all I know it's next to useless in a practical sense, plus, this unit looks like someone has had at it with a screwdriver, unaware you need to remove the lens to lift the body from the shell.
Are these cameras noteworthy in any way or should I dump them and save myself some time?

What a shame.
>>3101623
Eh, it's definitely had a rough life but it's clean as a whistle inside, no mold in any of the optics, all seals soft and accounted for, and the drive gear and film path is clean and free. I'd suspect it would be perfectly functional if I threw a roll in it.

The symmetry thing is pure */p/ though, and I'm grateful to all the autists who developed my appreciation of it.
small format photography is too easy to be considered fine art
